i just bought a tomee wired ps3 controller with a usb cord instead of a ps3 cord so i can use it for games on my pc. i heard that u can emulate a xbox 360 controller with a ps3 controller on pc so thats what i want to do.

Here is what I currently have setup: In my living room, I have a dedicated media PC with Windows 7 Ultimate.On that PC I download the TV shows and movies I want to watch.Typical format is mkv and maybe some avi.
I would like to be able to watch some of these shows in my bedroom as well. The layout across the house does not allow for a hard-wired setup; it is completely out of the question. Is there a device that I can setup in my bedroom that will allow me to wirelessly stream these files?
I've used a wireless 360 controller with receiver now flawlessly for ~1 year. Bought a Wired one today, except whenever I plug it in, I get an immediate BSOD! I've taken the usual precautions of uninstalling MotionInJoy (both from control panel AND by deleting the appropriate driver from c:windowssystem32drivers), but it still blows up every time I've gone to the Microsoft site and downloaded the drivers there too. Basically, I install the Accessories part, and that's fine. Then when I plug the controller in, it takes about 3 seconds and then BAM. BSOD. Upon restarting, if I plug it in, it doesn't BSOD, but it sure doesn't work either. Oddly enough, the MotionInJoy driver reappears in the system32/drivers folder occasionally after a BSOD.

From the research I've done, windows should install the correct drivers when I plug the controller into my USB port, correct? Absolutely nothing happens when I plug the controller into the computer. I'm new to PC so I'm sure I'm making a simple mistake. I've downloaded the Xbox 32Bit controller software from microsoft and still nothing. Here's the funny stuff, after few experiment, i found out that "The longer I dont use the controller, the longer i can use it afterward" I guess u will confuse about what im talking... but its true
For example.... I turn on my PC, and i did not plug in the controller for hours, maybe surfing webs or do some stuffs, then when i decided to plug it on to play some games, it actually works but it has a limited time. After some time, it stop working and the green light disappear. Like I turn on the pc without plugging in the controller for 30min, then when i plugged in i can use about 30min (i didnt record it, just for u to understand easily)
When i try to unplug it and plug it on again, the green light on the controller flash once, and my pc said USB Device not recognized, what the heck is this?
I've even tried to restart the PC, windows 7 loaded, i plug in the controller, about few minutes it not working again
I've been searching for solutions for few hours, updating the driver from the microsoft website, XBCD and few emulator, tried it but nothing helps

View 3 Replies View RelatedOk, so I've researched this problem extensively, and have not come up with much. A lot of the articles online are from years ago and the few solutions that are posted don't work. So I'm resorting to posting on here in hopes someone has a more recent fix to for this.
I have an official Microsoft wired xbox 360 controller. I've tried using it on FIFA 12, Arkham City, and Saints Row 3. Every time I get to the game and use the controller it freezes the game and will not unfreeze until I unplug the controller. The thing is, windows recognizes the controller in the device manager and I can use it to browse the games' menus before starting the game. I've tried uniinstalling all drivers related to the controller, all the HID compliant devices, restarting the system, disabling driver signing enforcement, reinstalling Microsoft's drivers. But every time I plug the controller in, it installs these motionjoy drivers automatically, and still freezes the game. Also I noticed my mouse becomes jerky when I move it while the controller is plugged in. This problem is ridiculous to me, because I know that the xbox 360 wireless controller works perfectly fine with games, since my roomie has a wireless USB hub for a wireless xbox controller and I've tested it with the same games. It blows my mind that a Microsoft product is not compatible with another Microsoft product, but I will reserve that rant for another time. And by the way my comp is good enough to play these games as I can play them just fine using mouse and keyboard.
My system is running windows 7 ultimate 64. I downloaded the latest xbox 360 controller driver from microsoft. When I plug my controller in, the 1 and 4 lights, both blink real fast and nothing else happens. It is not recognized under devices or in the computers device manager.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay, I'm trying to hook this thing up to my new Dell Inspiron 15R. The thing is, when I plug it in, it keeps failing the driver installation. Ok now here is other part. I have used this controller perfectly fine on my previous HP Mini 210. As you know, that's a pretty weak computer compared to the one I just bought.w, after about 2 hours of researching, I've downloaded the current drivers from M$, and that didn't help at all. Next I came across someone who said check the device manager. Okay, so I did a cross examination with both computers and found the netbook had something called "universal serial bus usb controller" drivers with several others branching off while my Dell did not. Also the fact that the Mini uses USB2.0 while the Dell is 3.0.So I've come to the conclusion that my Dell is lacking(and it is) these "Controller" drivers. Now the annoying part is when I use the device manager to search for updates, it says it can't find anything. I've googled around(and used the driver disk that came with my Dell) to no avail.I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help with my problem. I'm just using the controller for gaming. It works fine in the netbook, so I don't think power to the controller is an issue. My M$ drivers are up to date so I don't think it's those either.

I hooked it up from the wall port, to the router, to my computer. I was able to access the normal Linksys wireless setup page at 192.168.0.1 and set up a network fine. I then unplugged my ethernet cable and attempted to connect to the network and was not able to. If I recall, it 'connected' but there was no internet connection.

I then formatted my desktop. Its a dell. When i did this, everything seemed great. However, i noticed that if i remove my wireless router and just connect my cable modem wired, it works. However, when i connect my wireless router, then my wireless internet works but my WIRED connection does not work. It has this message that says can't connect.
I don't think this has ever happened before. I mean, there were many times where my desktop got formatted and my wired internet worked and i could not get my wireless connection to work. But never had i had my wireless work and my wired connection not work. The one thing i did this time was after i installed the drivers with my windows cd, i then deleted the old windows file that was about 25 gb.
I want to buy an xbox wired controller to play games on pc with the controller. My question is that the controller works as the same like on xbox? Actually, I mean the analog sticks. It has the same sensitivity on pc like on xbox? Because in the keyboard you can push the button or not. With the analog sticks you have more possibility, sensitivity.

But XP doesn't have that problem like 7 does. I have called Microsoft multiple times about the issue and they have not figured out the problem. Is it a problem with my GTS250 or what else would the problem be. I also have had all my other hardware tested and have found no faults to it. I downloaded the latest drivers and installed them, and I plug it in and it says installing device and it installs. It starts charging, but the Center button just keeps blinking, and it is showing up under device manager.
Installed a new M4 ssd today and loaded windows on it. Previously i was using 2 raptors in raid 0 for the os and programs. I re raided the 2 raptors and connected them to the jmicron ports and set them up for raid in bios, then created the raid 0 array no prob. Windows doesnt see the array when loaded up and i have the latest rst drivers installed..did this prior to the os install on the ssd. using the x58 e760a1 mobo. under device manager, the raid controller has an exclamation mark and no driver installed yet i have the latest rst 10.8.0.1003 installed..

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (Build 7000) on an lenovo pc (Intel Pentium 4 - 2.8GHz, 2.00 GB RAM). my pc's actual graphics card is "Intel 82865G Graphics Controller" but windows 7 loads it as "standard VGA graphics card" which gives me a very very bad video quality but computer works great. HOWEVER,when i update video graphics back to my "Intel 82865G Graphics Controller" & play any video, the video quality is excellent & direct 3d & hardware acceleration starts working contrary to "standard VGA graphics card" but gives major computer operation problems. For e.g., As soon as i resize my VLC interface or run any other media players (like powerdvd or windows media players etc), the computer either gets stuck/hung or it shows a blue screen message saying "disable bios memory such as caching or shadowing" OR "page_fault_in_nonpaged_area" & lots of other explorer based problems.i tried changing various 3d settings in opengl as well, but in vain.
