Getting A Madcatz 360 Gamepad To Work On Laptop
Sep 3, 2012So I'm trying to get this thing working; but I cannot find drivers anywhere. It is one of those Gamestop 3rd party controllers for the Xbox360, and I have seen these working on computers before.The model number on the back is Item #4716 Gamepad. There are no drivers on the madcatz website; and yeah I know I could just as easily go out and buy Microsoft's 360 controller for Windows, but I'm a little light on money and I'm trying to get what I have working. You'd figure it's a USB device so it would work, but hey; nothing's perfect!

Jun 8, 2012So I use a NES usb retropad that I connect to my laptop. When I go to the control panel I can see that it shows up but it isn't set as game controller it just says undefined for category. I know the controller works and all the drivers are up to date so I can't figure out why it wont work in any of the programs I try to using in, including any emulators or joy2key. When I try to use it in joytokey it says no controller detected but I know it shows up in the control panel.

Gamepad Keyboard Mapping Software?
Mar 2, 2011I've found GlovePIE program, but it felt so complicated, had a lot of options i felt lost and eventually left it. It had a lot of direct input stuff so it might be possible to map this micro-wheel.Then i found xpadder, there's still some outdated freeware version. I must admit software itself is pretty impressive, easy to use... but even if this software detects my gamepad's micro-wheel it can't be bound. Maybe paid and updated version would support it, i don't know.Btw. is there any way of using gamepad analog buttons/sticks in windows other then mapping it as mouse? (xpadder does it quite good)Because you know, mapping something analog as a keyboard key makes it digital... on or off.

Sep 1, 2011I recently installed Matrix: The Path of Neo, which is a great game, but its PC port is horrible.The problem is, the game detects any gamepad and maps its buttons automatically, with no options to change the buttons.So, the game uses the right analog stick to manipulate the camera but the X and the Y axis are switched so, what I wanted to do was to make Windows 'think' that the X axis is the Y axis and vice-versa.I already searched the internet and couldn't find any program that did this (xpadder, pinnacle game profiler, motionjoy, joytokey, none work)

Apr 15, 2009I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (Build 7000) on an lenovo pc (Intel Pentium 4 - 2.8GHz, 2.00 GB RAM). my pc's actual graphics card is "Intel 82865G Graphics Controller" but windows 7 loads it as "standard VGA graphics card" which gives me a very very bad video quality but computer works great. HOWEVER,when i update video graphics back to my "Intel 82865G Graphics Controller" & play any video, the video quality is excellent & direct 3d & hardware acceleration starts working contrary to "standard VGA graphics card" but gives major computer operation problems. For e.g., As soon as i resize my VLC interface or run any other media players (like powerdvd or windows media players etc), the computer either gets stuck/hung or it shows a blue screen message saying "disable bios memory such as caching or shadowing" OR "page_fault_in_nonpaged_area" & lots of other explorer based problems.i tried changing various 3d settings in opengl as well, but in vain.

Feb 17, 2012I've only had my new computer with Windows 7 for just over a week and it won't work anymore. It goes into Startup Repair and says it can't repair this computer automatically. I press "Finish" and then it just restarts again showing the logo of the motherboard on screen and then goes back into Startup Repair again.
I called the shop where I bought it and they said it is possible I was loading too much software on too quickly. It is a computer I use for business so I wasn't loading any rubbish on and I didn't install that much - Office suite, antivirus, modem software, printer driver.
Search Won't Work In Computer (Within Window)
Feb 8, 2010My problem is when I go into computer (my computer) the search in the top right isn't working from within this window! However if I click to go into an individual drive the search will then work from within there on the individual drive. At first it told me the index had been switched off, so I turned it back on even rebuilt the index. & its still the same except it doesn't tell me about the index when I try to search anymore.
It will still search within the individual drives but not from within the computer window. Apart from this the installation works fine. I even run a scan with Kaspersky & Spybot S&D to make sure of any nasties causing it. & run a CHkdisk this morning. I would rather not have to perform a system restore or new installation. It took me ages to install all my apps & don't fancy doing it again.
