It seems like ever since WinXP and probably before that, some windows that open creep under the taskbar. So when this happens, I have to move my taskbar in order to close the window. One question I have is around the registry tweak to add a "Take Ownership" icon to the right click contect menu.I generally install this tweak as it's extremely useful and saves messing around with calcs commands. It seems however that once this is done in Windows 7 RTM 64 it replaces the icon to run as administrator (which is also extremely useful).Is there a way to keep both icons/features in the context menu?

(I already read and understood your message: don't use those tools and stay out of your registry. I managed to bypass this loop by running in safe mode and recover my computer to a restore point in the past. Restore point damaged or was deleted during restore". So it didn't restore but I can get into my windows now.So I don't get the 'reverting change loop' anymore, so I can access my computer but what's the mess? Well my computer is slow as hell.Like mentioned above, I already looked around on this forum and wrote down what I already tried. [code] My computer is terrible slow because of a registry defrag/optimization of a registry tool (in combination with windows update) --> I need to find a way to get back my old registry files but system recovery ain't working.

Fonts Have Gone Transparent?
Feb 6, 2012Everything is fine now. If I did something, not sure what worked exactly, but I won't argue Got a strange issue. I've been doing some fiddling recently with customizing Windows 7 (specifically, installing Rainmeter and trying to install custom themes). When I tried to install a theme, however, I ended up with font troubles. Apparently it wrote over some of the main fonts and, oddly enough, made the font show up transparent in some places. (a specific example is in a folder I created on the desktop) Is there a way to restore the fonts completely to default? I've tried restoring to defaults in font settings, but no-go. What do you guys think? I'm thinking I should give up custom themes for a bit until I can make a restore point (I like to dive into things like this. Keeps it challenging, you know ) EDIT: Forgot to mention that this is all on the 64 bit version!
