Windows Can't Find Network Drivers For Installation
Jun 11, 2011I have just placed a 2nd hand mobo (ASRock M3A770DE) into my pc. It'ts running win 7 ultimate, all h/w is detected ok apart from the integrated network card, therefore i cannot connect to the router and onto the internet. Since Windows 7 is not auto-detecting the integrated NIC, is their a file on the Windows 7 disk i can point it to when i manually try to install it?On a separate note i can connect to the net via my vaio, in case you can suggest where i can d/l a file from.

This happens on both the 32 & 64 bit disc.This is a brand new purchase which I opened it about an hour ago.The laptop has a 400GB HD and 2GB of ram. It came with Home Prem x64 pre-installed, So the hardware meets the requirements.What seems to be the problem?

May 16, 2012So i have a new SSD Corsair Force 3 240 gig and all I want to do is install Windows 7 Pro on it. This board does not support parted magic (cannot wake from sleep and there are no onboard video to wake up to) so ive resorted to clean all.I have not been able to successfully boot the OS on the SSD. I never intended on setting up raid but apparently all the literature i see is on raid. I created a USB install disk as reccomended onto a 8gig ntfs primary active did the bootsect /nt60 X: and it successfully worked copied the cd over to the flash drive and copied the rste drivers in a folder called drivers My SSD is installed on port 1 6gig sata intel (as this board doesnt have marvel apparrently) My DVD is installed on 3gig Sata port 6 I set up Raid in the bios as reccomended by others (as this is the only way to install ssd?).
Nothing UEFI is enabled There are no other drives hooked up to the computer. Just SSD, USB cordless mouse, keyboard and no network cord or WIFI i started with a clean ssd as reccomended my bios recognized the ssd on post i booted into the win 7 install (MBR not uefi) i loaded the 64 bit rste drivers from asus as reccomended by others i left the machine to install the usb then booted into windows install (for whatever reason) i pushed f8 to boot my corsair windows brings up an error on a black screen File: windows/system32/drivers/adpahci.sys driver did not load Status: oxc0000221 Info: Windows Failed to load because of a critical system driver is missing or corrupt

Sep 13, 2009I am installing Windows 7 (Custom installation initiated from Windows XP) but I get the following error message when the installation is on the "Installing updates" step of the installation:
"Setup cannot continue due to a corrupted installation file. Contact the vendor of your Windows installation disc or your system administrator for assistance."
Do you have any idea what the problem may be with the installation? Is there a way to see what file that may be corrupted?
I have tried to burn the DVD in low speed, but the error appears anyway. I have a MSI K8T Neo2-Fir mainboard and the Windows 7 upgrade advisor application says that my hardware is okay for upgrading.

Apr 16, 2012First, my laptop is a Aspire 5250-BZ853. I received it back in October, I think...may've been earlier. But anyhow, it was working just fine yesterday until I did a Windows Update. I had to restart, and it was fine again. But then it began running sluggishly slow, and just terrible overall so I restarted it once more and that was when the problems began.
This entire day, this has been driving me nuts. I have important files on here, and I backed up most on my external harddrive a bit ago but there were a few I missed and hadn't the chance to get (ironically enough the most important, papers and such.) At first, it said my password was wrong -- as if someone had changed it! I restarted it once more, thinking it an error or something, and did that again so I restarted it again. Finally, it worked but I think it logged me in as safe mode somehow. After that, it restarted on its own and began this loop. I did a LOT of searching on Google until finally someone suggested to someone else to try pressing "ALT + F10" I think it was as it was starting, and finally I made progress. Before that, it was just going into a constant rebooting loop and I couldn't even log into safe mode. Trying to reset it back to a time it was working was futile, because it said there was no recovery time there! So that shot that idea down. At last, I got somewhere.as well. I clicked the reset to factory settings, but still keep all the files (and they would be saved to "C:Backup" and I thought it had finally worked. But now as it reinstalls, I got an error saying something about how it needed to restart or something...so when I clicked "okay" it began again, and finally it all just came to a stop on "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation."

I have a home network with 2 laptops and 1 desktop. The desktop I use as a "file server" in that all work done on the laptops is stored to the desktop. The desktop computer name is HAL. One laptop is fine and sees the network. The other just stopped seeing it; rebooted the laptop; rebooted HAL; did a number of refreshes without any luck. I opened EXCEL and found a worksheet that was listed that I knew was saved on HAL. Was able to open the file and when I tried the SAVE AS I could navigate through all of HAL just as normal. Went to Windows Explorer and still no HAL listed as a COMPUTER on the NETWORK. I have a internet connection so I know I am making it to the router at least. And when I check NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER it shows an active home network. The laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 Build 7601.

This is not a small network, one of the biggest network.i have doubt on individual users on domain. before 2 months we had department wise users mean, for example Accounts@domainname.local. But after we created the individual users like john@domainname.local to all users. this is i believe the cause of problem. When we acess the server via the software it freezed for 5 seconds and then repeat to normal state. And after some time it hangs for 2 minutes.

File Sharing Across A Home Network - The Network Path Was Not Found"
Aug 9, 2011I'm having difficulty trying to get my new Windows 7 pc set up to share files across my existing home (wired) network which consists of 1 desktop pc running WinXP and 1 laptop running WinXP.I want the 'C' drive on each of the 3 computers to be shared. I've had the 2 Windows XP computers set up and working like this for several years without a problem but I can't seem to get the 'C' drive on the Windows 7 computer to do the same.All 3 computers have the same workgroup name and none of them require passwords to log on to Windows. There are no problems with the firewalls on any of the machines.On the Windows 7 PC when I right click on the 'C' drive and select the 'Sharing' tab, I have set this up to be shared and when I click on the 'Advanced Sharing' button there is a tick in the 'Share this folder' box, the 'Share name' is 'C'. If I then click on the 'Permissions' button, this shows a 'Group or user name' 'Everyone' and this group has Full Control, Change and Read boxes ticked. As far as I can see there is nothing more I can do.
However from my Windows XP computer, when I go to My Network Places and double click on the icon for the Windows 7 'C' drive, I get the message "\Computername is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.The network path was not found"I've subsequently set up a sub folder (of the Windows 7 'C' drive) for sharing by right clicking on the folder, choosing 'Share with' and then selecting 'Specific people'. I then set up a group called 'Everyone' with read/write permissions. Now I can navigate to this folder from my 2 WinXP computers.

Right now only a maximum of 3 users can stream SD videos off the PC before it gets a little choppy.
The pc in question runs on windows 7 and it's board has built in gigabit, I happen to have a spare gigabit card.
Network Constantly Changing Between Unidentified Public Network And Home
Aug 30, 2012Home network with Wifi and ethernet. Using 3x Notebooks and 3x workstations. One of the workstations (W7 ultimate) keeps changing between Public and Home. When this happens, the internet connection dies. I cannot see other workstations either when on public network. Workstation using wifi. Does the same on cable. When it changes to Public, it disconnects from the internet and I cannot get to the router even though it has the workstation has an IP(DHCP or static). Default gateway and subnet is correct. TCP v4 is being used and nothing else is enabled.
Why is this happening?
- I have tried DHCP as well as Static addresses
- Reconfigured NIC(Netgear WG311T), uninstalled and reinstalled it.
- Removed Wifi connection and re-added it.
- Changed auth type, encryption type and keys to connection
Have I covered everything? The only thing different is that I installed a new router - Duo Plus 300wr. It cannot be the router because all the other notebooks connect to it wireless and so does my iPad, Android device and tablet...so it rules that out?
Disabled Network Adapter, Restarted And Now Not Showing Up In Network And Sharing?
Feb 11, 2012I disabled my network adapter then restarted and now the adapter is no longer showing up in my network connections. How in the world do I get it back? I have looked at other options (like under the registry which was suggested on a couple of places). I have never seen this happen before. I even reinstalled my drivers and still nothing. Dec 1, 2011Today, I managed to redecorate my bedroom; where my computer sat on top of a shaky, wooden desk. That desk is now gone, caput, and replaced by a much bigger, sturdier and prettier glass replacement.Before I dissasembled the computer to re-decorate, I was able to browse the internet at ease. There were no problems at all...However, after the new desk was setup - and all wires replaced in their correct slots, I find that I am unable to connect to the internet, or even the house's network! For the past year, I have been wired to the router using a RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC. It was plugged into an extension cord, in my room, into the Ethernet port in the back of my computer. Downstairs, it's twin was situated no less than 2 feet away from the router - plugged into the first port.Now, when I boot up the computer, the network notification presents the following message: "Unidentified Network. No network access", and sometimes presents a yellow ! next to it. So, I am reduced to typing on my mother's laptop - which has no problems connecting to the network.I am able to use the ipconfig /release command, but unable to use the /renew - it hangs in the command prompt, then tells me that the DHCP server cannot be located. The IP, beforehand, was reverted to 169.254.223.117 - before all of this, I was 192.168.0.5?

Aug 23, 2009I have a linksys usb600n (v2) using the Windows 7 driver from linksys. It installs and is displayed correctly in Device Manger - BUT it doesn't appear in the Network and Sharing Center as an adapter. This same device and driver were previously working just fine in this system - but I rebuilt the OS (clean install) after testing a number of security products out.
The initial install went fine - no problems that I remember - just plug in the adapter and install the drivers obtained from Linksys (Ver 3.00.01.0). I tried the same thing on the re-build and it looks fine until I go into the Network Center and can't set up wireless networking since the adapter does not appear.
SIW shows TWO (2) linksys USB adapters under Hardware/Network Adapters, but does not show the network adapters in the Network Information section.
Any ideas?
Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter - Update Lost The Network
Nov 1, 2009Installed Windows 7 on two home-network computers. Everything appeared to be good, including networking, but I could not access printers (linked through each computer) with the opposite computer. Windows update offered an update for the Broadcom 802.11n network adapter, but when I installed the update I completely lost the network.
I had to revert to the old driver in order to reastablish the network. But the printers still are not recognized. The network adapter on the secondary computer is a Linksys WMP300N. I did try turning the router off for ten seconds with the updated driver but that had no effect.
Anyone had this problem?

Oct 8, 20125 month old Dell XPS 8500 Win 7 64 bit Pro as main computer connected by Wired Adapter, Upgraded Gateway 5632E also running Win 7 64 bit pro as second connected by Wireless. Both running Kapersky successfully. no network problems for 5 mo.
Both were successfully linked using homegroup. Had to take Gateway to a remote location to do a business demo. While there had to link to a local public WiFi. While connecting made mistake and left homegroup.
When Gateway returned to homebase a few days later it was fine, had no problems finding wireless but could not see or rejoin Dell machine homegroup. It would let me set up a new homegroup.
Went to Dell box and found 1) homegroup no longer existed, 2) router and network and wireless printing no longer found - Red X on the taskbar) even though internet was still working fine.
Took nearly a week of trying differernt fixes, on adapter- off adapter- different adapter reboot network, router, even updated router firmware (Yes I went through every ipconfig reset, renew, redecorate etc. I've used netsh functions to try to get evrything to reset. Changes services.msc settings per other posts. Finally in desperation, deleted every sub key in the registry related to network locational awareness and got the Dell to find the network, let me set it up as a "home" network and then even see the invitation to join the Gateway's homegroup.
Then I hit a wall- when I try to join- Win 7 says I can't join the homegroup because the network is not a "home network". Of course troubleshooting is useless and goes into an endless loop. Have searched in desperation for any way to make Win 7 return to a clean slate so it can sense that it really is on a home network without success. Applied the fix-it and hotpatch for when Win 7 gets stuck in public mode. No joy. Deleted the hide wizard subkey as suggested elsewhere. No Joy. Gut feeling says problem must lie in the NLA or peer networking somewhere but where?
Does anyone know of a method or set of steps (short of a clean reinstall of Win 7) to completely clear every thing the OS knows about my network and force it to acknowlege my network is a home network? Is there a registry hack that will clear the problem?
I know I could abandon the homegroup and do conventional file/print share but I am concerned that using that solution won't last as whatever is screwing up the homegroup could eventually screw regular sharing and then I'm back to reformating/reinstalling. I'm just about ready to join the Apple folks so I never have to work on Windows again.

Oct 19, 2011I had purchased Windows 7 upgrade about 2 years ago, downloaded and saved it as an ISO CD. I just had to format my hard drive and re-install. The installation completed but never asked for my Key Code. I checked Control Panel > System and found a temporary key code valid only for 15 days. When I changed the key code, I was advised of a "failure" because this Windows 7 was an "upgrade." Yes, I had upgraded from XP. Must I re-install XP and then install W-7 as an upgrade?
