Make Sure That The Jpg Is Applied To The Correct Resolution Inside Vbs Script?
Feb 23, 2011
I have a vbs login script to copy the jpg to the desktop and apply the jpg to the background of the desktop, the jpg is 1024x768 but when it is allpied to the background to is streched and way to big, the resolution of the desktop is 1024x768, how can i make sure that the jpg is applied to the correct resolution inside my vbs script?
I've a Core i3 processor on Intel DH55TC Mother board with HD graphics. The system is new and I've installed Windows 7 with drivers provided with Intel Motherboard. But once I installed the graphics driver my monitor shows lot of dots on screen. I've LG 16" Screen LCD Monitor. If I uninstall the graphic driver, the dots will go but the correct resolution for my monitor is not available.
I am using an ASUS monitor model ML228, ATI Radeon HD 3300 Graphics, and Windows 7 32-bit. I have used this monitor before at the correct resolution of 1920x1080, but now it is not available to select from the screen resolution manager.
I read through a couple of other threads that said to uninstall and reinstall the driver from device manager for both my graphics card and the monitor and it says both are up to date and nothing changed.
Here is a screen shot of the screen resolution manager: [URL]
In IE8, do people use it? I find it blocks something on every web page I visit so I'm always seeing the exclamation point. And wondering if it is making the web page not display properly. On a few sites I was able to allow some things to make the pages display correct but then it has to be run with "choose which content to block" which seems basically the same as not running it at all. I couldn't find a lot of info about it. Only how to turn it on or off.
I have just built my first pc, and I am stuck at installing windows 7 . Here's what happens, I am trying to install off a USB stick as I don't have a dvd drive for this build. It will load into the setup and it'll stop on a screen requiring me to load drivers.
Here is what it displays: "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now".
So I found drivers for my mobo Asus M5A97, I select them and then after I click next this message appears: "No new devices could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media".
I don't know what to do! I've tried all I can think of!! Nothing seems to work! I am trying to install windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I've tried installing windows vista 32 bit, and its been saying the same thing as well! I found the drivers here: [URL].
i install autocad 2007 on my hp laptop notebook size, i try to open it, i cant see the other command below because the window is not fit tot he screen.
Alright, this was my first time removing the current thermal paste and applying new one, the previous one was tough to remove because it was stone hard, although I didnt remove 100% of it i'd say I took out a good 70-80% of what was there. So when applying it, I hear some ppl say to put as much as the size of a bb just a small dot (this is for my laptop cpu and gpu) which I did, then evenly spread it around with the little spreader it came with. My cpu now gets hotter by 4-5c.
As a novice I went in on Windows 7 and applied the compatibility move to a program. It originally worked somewhat now it won't work at all. How can I "REVERT" the program to work as it did before applying the compatibility mode?
For example I have a folder in my desktop with pictures, videos, documents, music, etc. I organized it by grouping by type, somewhere between large & extra large thumbnails, and a few other things. I want these settings applied to all other folders. I went to folder options and applied it to other folders. Nothing changed. My other folders, including my picture folder is still the same way it was. How do I apply to ALL folders? I know you can zoom in on thumbnails by hitting ctrl + mouse scroll wheel, but is there a way you can do it with a keyboard and not the mouse?
I have a second monitor plugged in to my laptop. The first monitor on my laptop is 1366x768, and the second monitor plugged in by VGA is 1400x900. The setting I choose is "Show desktop only on 2". When I go to close the lid on my laptop, monitor 1 disappears from the available monitors, but reappears when I open it again. What happens, is that it reverts back to "Extend these displays" but I still want it to only "Show desktop only on 2" by default.
I just upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista, and I didn't have this issue in Vista. For some reason, my first monitor is reactivating itself and my display settings are changing without me doing anything to them. I have to go back every time to change it to show only on monitor 2.
The below mentioned 5 updates are being applied every time I switch on my laptop since last two weeks.
- Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 x86 (KB2487367) - Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008 x86 (KB2656351) - Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 x86 (KB2468871) - Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 x86 (KB2533523) - Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008 x86 (KB2600217)
I have Windows 7 64-bit and have configured Software Restriction Policies so that "Disallowed" is the default security level. I also have Path Rules defined so that software in C:Program Files, C:Program Files (x86), and C:Windows can execute. I also want it to apply to only my limited user account, so it is configured for "All users except local administrators".But it is still affecting my admin account. When I'm logged in as my admin user and I try to run any executable file in the C:UsersadminDownloads directory, I get a popup saying "This program is blocked by group policy."why the Software Restrictions Policies are affecting my admin account even though it is set to "All users except local administrators"?
I was clicking around in my C drive because I was trying to find a folder that was hidden. I right clicked, click properties, selected the "hidden" folder attribute to the administrator folder, and clicked apply to all folders, subfolders, etc. I realized this was not the right thing because it just hid all the folders inside, so I undid it.Afterwards, it kicked me off of skype and when I tried to log on again, it said my disk was full when it is obviously not and gave me the "disk i/o error"In addition, I clicked firefox and it gave me a dialog box that said "Could not initialize the browser security component, etc etc and gave me another warning about my disk being full. What did I do? Obviously my disk is not full but these two programs think it is full and is giving me error messages.
I have applied settings in control panel to make my mouse snap to default in dialogue box. I have done this a number of times. It still doesn't work, except for usually in print routines where it snaps to the Print button.
So I wiped my cpu with cleaning alcohol, dried, wiped it with a very thin layer of thermal paste(silver one), then put everything back together, not the fan wont even spin, but it twitches, and when power runs through pc, I hear a very high pitch noise.
banging my head with this issue...i have an ati radeon hd 5850 and samsung syncmaster 2233SW monitor....in the games the resolution being displayed is very low, somewhere in the 1280 x 1024 type of regions...though in the game settings its showing 1920 x 1080 .rivers are latest...11.12 amd vision engine control centerbtw my desktop resolution iv put at 1280 x 800 ...wen i put it at 1920 x 1080 in the desktop d sides of the screen get cut...evn my monitors auto adjustment function doesn
I have Dell Optiplex GX260 system. I intalled Windows 7 Ultimate on that. The resolution of screen is fine but it is not supporting 1280 x 1024 resolution and videos are not playing properly. It was not taking audio drivers as well but when I ran the SoundMax drivers for XP in compatibility mode they were installed. But display drivers are not getting installed. I even tried the various driver from Nvidia for XP/Vista/Win 7, but none of them works.
I'm trying to resolve an issue involving a bunch of "illegitimate" Windows Live streams (discovered in a Stream Armor scan). In trying to resolve the issue, I've deleted several leftover Windows Live files and registry entries (after making a backup) that weren't removed when I uninstalled Windows Live a few months ago.For whatever reason, the files won't leave the recycle bin, and the streams are still active.I looked inside $Recycle.Bin and found that there's a locked Recycle Bin inside it. Is this normal? Can I delete it? How?
I took my laptop in to Best Buy because I was getting a message that the computer cooling system was not working properly and then the computer would shut down.Best Buy said I need to have the inside cleaned of dust.
Is there a way I can revert to the Vista style of listing in Documents and other folders? I find the Win 7 set up too spaced out for easy reading. A straight printed list is far quicker to read through. Somewhere I seem to recall that I could change to Classic View but was that only for Vista? [code]
I can't open any files in any Office or OpenOffice program going through File>Open. I can double-click a file within a folder and it will open fine.
I don't have this issue in any other program that I regularly use. Just anything Office or OpenOffice. Here is an image of what I wind up with if trying to attach an image in Outlook. In Outlook I cannot attach a file to an email or Save an attachment. I can double-click in Outlook to open an attachment.
Anyone run into this type of issue before or any suggestions of where I can even begin to look to resolve?
Today I decided to get a new theme for my web browser (Firefox) so I did. I found one that I liked and downloaded it and installed it. At the same time I was cleaning games and apps I was not using. As I was browsing trough the list of apps i noticed that the pop up box of Skype (when someone signs in) has bold font. I clicked and opened Skype to discover that the font there is bold as well. Then I saw it on Facebook actually every web page has a bold font now.. Some other apps i use (Hamachi, Antispy, etc..) show up the same way.I want to say again that my dialog boxes, system windows and desktop icons are fine like they were. This appears in app windows. here are a few snaps
Hdd has stopped working while i was accessing it (not it has clickering sound- something is "smashed" inside). It was 7 months old well placed in bay with air cooling and anti vibration system. I have warranty of 5 years on him. But my data is crucial to me. I've moved all my important stuff on him because it was the best hdd in my system. I'm fool for not making it in raid 1, so all the data are lost. I don't know what is my next step. I know that I'll have another in no-time because it was bought from distributor, not from the regular shop. The hdd model is WE RE4 1TB.
I'm just looking for advice on running Windows 7 Professional inside a virtual machine. I'd like to know what kind of performance I can expect from the following applications and others of their class.
Capture One (http://www.phaseone.com/en/Software/...-Overview.aspx) Adobe CS5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Flash) Microsoft Office 2010 Sony Vegas Games requiring DirectX 9+
Basically, I'm done with malware, long boot times, and huge system overhead and would like to switch to Ubuntu for my everyday computing, web surfing, writing, media consumption, etc. and fire up Windows in a VM only when I absolutely need it. As the list above implies I do lean pretty heavily on the processor and video card when I'm working or playing, and I'm wondering how Virtual Box would handle it.
