View 2 RepliesI am playing some games and about 20-30 minutes in to the game my middle monitor turns black, I get a loud buzzing noise from my headphones, than all 3 of my monitors say "No Signal" and I have to turn off my PC.
[code]...
I got a new pair of headphones today and after awhile I noticed a quiet buzzing noise when I move my mouse around or type on the keyboard, soon I heard the noise without any user input until I restarted my PC then it was just buzzing when using my mouse and keyboard.I tested several headphones and heard no noise however these new ones are better than my old ones, I've also tested them on my brother's PC and heard no buzzing.I'm using my onboard VIA HD Audio driver(up to date). I still hear the noise even if I disable all audio devices.Motherboard is a Gigabyte M4A785TD-V EVO.
OS: Windows 7 64
Mobo: Gigabyte M4A785TD-V EVO
GPU: Radeon HD 5850
CPU: Phenom 2 x4 925
No sound card
Ram 6GB
PSU: Corsair TX 650W V2
I'm getting a very irritating high pitch, low volume, buzzing noise when my speakers volume is at max, even if my system volume is 0. The only way to get rid of this is to of course, lower my speaker volume, but the buzzing is still there just quieter.
View 6 Replies View Relatedmy laptop's screen keeps going dark after being on for only a few seconds. When the screen goes dark, I have to move my mouse around to get the screen to come back on which it usually does. After a few minutes of doing this, my screen stays on. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I do have McAfee anti-virus protection. I just recently ran a virus scan which came up clear of any viruses. I also tried adjusting when the screen goes dark
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 10 month old Acer 5820t laptop running win 7 home premium. About 6 weeks ago, the screen started going dark every few minutes and it has gotten worse. I can see the image faintly and by pressing the display brighten button can get it to come back or sometimes have to close and reopen lid it will come back. No external peripherals are connected. The Intel HD graphics card has the latest driver installed. The screen saver seems to work but the display will also go dark when the screeb saver is running.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo a few weeks ago I was in Sony Vegas editing a video and suddenly my mouse and keyboard both became unresponsive and a loud buzzing noise started coming out of my speakers. I left it for a few minutes but nothing happened, there was no blue screen of death, no error message, nothing. so the only thing I could do was force a restart.
Over the next few days the problem continued in graphical/CPU intensive programs (such as photoshop, Vegas, fsx, etc), and all I could do was restart. Not once did I see an error message. I did originally think that it was due to an overclocking (4.4 GHz) however I checked my temperatures and they didn't ever peak above 60-70.Neverthelss, I underclocked back to 3.3 but still experienced the problem. I read online that I should do a clean install of windows so I did that, and up until now I thought the problem was solved. And a couple of minutes ago I was playing age of empires and the computer froze and then The buzzing started again.

Acer ASPIRE M3802 (details to follow) starts making buzzing noises while I am playing videos, especially when buffering multiple videos at a time e.g. in multiple tabs of browser. This starts happening at irregular intervals, sometimes just after 10 mnts, sometimes after about an hour or so. The system actually freezes every few seconds. This continues till the system displays BSOD or I restart it. After restart, it is fine for quite a long time but eventually the problem starts again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed 3 days ago Windows updates and now my computer makes the infamous buzz when playing music. I tried deactivating all the unnecessary start-up programs but it keeps doing it. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15 with native W7 and never had problems with the sound, it all just started after I installed these updates.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using for a while a Toshiba Satellite c650 laptop. It has been used only to listen to music and to check e-mail via Internet Explorer. Recently, after a short camping trip where rain was abundant, the screen stopped functioning. The computer was working, we could hear the music playing. After shutting it down, turning it back on would make the screen work for anything from a few seconds to a few minutes. The screen then remained pitch black, whatever we did. I finally had the idea to plug in my 27-inch external monitor. The results weren't as good as I expected. The external screen works fine, but the resolution cannot be set higher than 1366x768, instead of the usual 1600x900 on the laptop. Also, when connected to my Alienware laptop, the external monitor can go up to 1980x1080.As if this wasn't enough, when playing music, the speakers would suddenly let out a very loud buzzing noise for a few seconds. We have tried to pinpoint the cause, but it happens whenever it seems to want to.
Is there anything we can do about the screen? (without sending it to be repaired, of course) I guess there's a problem in the hardware, because the external screen works. There might also be a problem with the video card, because of the weird maximal resolution..
recently I found that my computer running Windows 7 Home Premium is becoming slower. And the annoying thing is that, when my computer plays music or video, the audio occasionally becomes the BUZZ sound, with the discrete "jumping" of mouse cursor if it's moving.Once when the issue was bad, a Bluescreen occured with an infinitely repeating noise (buzzing again and again), and the screenshot of the Bluescreen is uploaded.
Some specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium on Laptop Dell V130
2G RAM, (usually 85% is used);
CPU: i3 @ 1.30GHz
Processes: 81 (as currently - too many?)
Services started: ~80
How do I fix my comp? It is making a really loud sound and coming to a boot manager screen and the keyboard wont work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday i bought new grafic card geforce GT440 after my old 9800 GT stoped functioning normaly(memory failure). So here is the problem, when I start any program or do anything the computer the computer is functioning normally, but when I turn to desktop(which has black wallpaper) the monitor goes so dark that I can't see almost nothing. I tryed to find some power saving options in windows(win 7 pro, 64 bit) and on envidia control panel but i cannot find any cause for that dark screen. Even if I load a black page on my mozilla the monitor goes dark. As it cannot represent dark colors normally.
View 4 Replies View Relatedstarted recently, when I boot my PC, the screen shows message: no signal and screen stays dark. However, in the background W-7 is loading, but in order to get the video functioning, I must restart the PC, turn off the screen, wait till W-7 loads somewhat and (like after 10 sec.) turn the screen on and everything is OK.Monitor is NEW Video card too, I tried with a second one, same problem...My question is, is this W-7, main board, or something else related?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my monitor it seems like everything is too bright, as in places that should be pitch black are a bit too light. For example: on my iPod, even with full brightness settings everything looks normal, but on my PC's monitor it just doesn't look right.I calibrated color and setting gamma way low really helped, but my contrast is set to full, and my brightness is 75.The strange thing: when I ran Crysis 1, it fixed the monitor color! So I know the darn thing is capable, I just don't know how to.When I closed down Crysis it went back to normal.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi use my computer for 5-6 hours and lately i lose the video connection ie the screen turn black. rebooting fixes it at least for a while, but in a short time its black again. today i turn the box on and no video at all, i tried changing the vga cable to no avail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy computer has a problem with crashing while playing a video in full screen. When it crashes the screen turns black while the speakers give out a buzzing noise. Everything is unresposive the only solution is to turn it off with the power button. It happens in any full screen video online or offline and even visualizations from windows media player and iTunes, but only in full screen. I don't think it's overheating either because sometimes it takes 30 mins to crash and other times it will crash immediately when put in full screen. *I've tried setting it back to factory settings thus reinstalling windows. *All the directx features are working with no reported problem there.* I don't think it's a memory issue in the computer, as my specs are:
Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: intel core i5 3.20 GHz
Ram: 8 GB
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 220
Graphics card memory: 0.5 GB
Any other ideas?
I have installed the latest drivers, reinstalled the program, and all that jazz and the problem still persists. Pretty much when I minimize or exit from a game I play called EVE Online, my LCD remains really dark. Kind of as if someone turned down the brightness really low on the LCD. I've figured out 2 workarounds but they aren't fixes.
I simply log out and log back in and the display brightens to its usual brilliance or I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and it has the same effect. But once I maximize the game and minimize again the screen darkens once more. Oh and in-game everything is perfect, it's only once I go to the desktop. Any ideas? I personally think its a something wrong with the refresh rate but I ahve no clue as to how to fix that.
I have attached my DxDiag results.
During the day, if we leave the computer alone, screen goes black, after a while, fans turn off. Wireless mouse wakes it up just fine. Fans startup before the screen is completely ready to go. During the night, the screen is dark, but the fans almost never stop. Why?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIf I let the computer sit unused, the screen goes black, as most monitors would; however, the screen stays dark when I move the mouse or hit buttons or something. Similarly, if I close the lid of my laptop when its turned on, and then open the lid, the screen stays black. Not only that, but when I closed the lid of the laptop, the computer never turned off. It was still running.I reset the power options to default as well, so there is nothing wrong there. Perhaps I should also mention that the screen successfully turns off and on in safe mode?
edit: Just tried a system restore to two weeks ago and the system crashed. Both times.
I installed windows updates and restarted my computer. It displays dark screen after restarting it.

i just began to hear a fan noise about 3 days ago on my hewlett packard dv7-1444us laptop. i am pretty sure it is the fan as i know how the fan sounds and it is not sounding like it used too (instead of the hard drive). it's making a constant whining noise now most of the time. once an awhile it takes a little while to start making the whining noise. i downloaded the hw monitor program and it has these stats:
value min max
compal 30fc tz01 58c (134f) 56c (132f) 63c (145f)
(not sure what compal means)
amd turion x2 rm-75 core #0 58c (136f) 58c (136f) 70c (157f)
core #1 58c (136f) 58c (136f) 70c (157f)

tried turning off the fan in the bios but no luck as it still kicks in. was trying to turn it off to make sure it was the fan by the noise going away.downloaded speed fan and don't see any fan readings at all or i don't know how to use the program downloaded the service manual from hp, and of course the fan is the very last thing to get too after taking the entire laptop apart! also found a video on Internet of a different model but almost exactly like mine being taking apart! looks scary and exciting at the same time. why did they put the fan in such a hard to get to place? hard drive is right there after taking out about 6 screws as i did just to take a look!any diagnostics program i can run to make sure it is the fan?can i continue to use the machine. the noise is driving me bonkers, wish i could turn it off and maybe get one of those laptop portable fan things.
I recently bought an Acer Aspire 7738G laptop with Windows 7. After a day or two the speakers (in fact i think it was the internal subwoofer) started to make a loud grinding noise which was intermittant but which became increasingly prevalent. It seemed sometimes to be brought on by my going online or somethin like that whilst music was playing, but sometimes started on it's own. Thinking it was a hardware problem I changed my laptop for exactly the same model. Unfortunately however after a few days exactly the same thing has started to happen.
I don't think I am the only one to have had this problem (see link below) and I wonder if it's aproblem with Windows 7 and Acer internal subwoofers. I am not a techy and all I can think to do is to take this laptop back and get a non Acer one. I'd rather not go through all that again (transferring itunes alone is a pain let alone getting the computer to perform in the shop).
Please let me know therefore if there is a simple fix to save me the trouble.
Computer threw out a bunch of weird language and then said crash and shut down. Now it doesn't really boot or reboot. I have to pull the battery to get it to restart and I get the HP logo when I put the battery back in and it takes me to a Windows Errory Recovery screen with two options: Launch Repair or Launch normally. Neither one of them does anything. I just get the blue screen.
I've tried the f8 key and the f10 key and can't seem to get to any other screen. I put the restore disk into the CD rom drive and I don't think it's accessing it at all.
It is an HP Pavilion dv7-4087cl with an Intel Core i5-430M processor and its running Windows 7 Home Premium OA 64 bit.
i have a problem with my year old desktop pc and random screen corruption when i startup the pc. sometimes it does it once a month, but in the last week its happened it every day. this is a video of what happens but its not always the same, but its always at startup. usually anytime upto and including the windows login screen, but never before or during the bios screen. once it corrupts i then need to hard reset, soft reset does nothing. also, after a successful reboot windows complains of a previous bluescreen. all drivers are up to date. nvidia_gtx465_corruption.3gp - Internet i`ve tried replacing the graphics card and i still had problems and i`ve reinstalled windows 7. i`m thinking the next thing is to replace the psu? whats strange is that it never goes wrong once windows is up and running, its only at startup. it also cause the external monitor (tv) to blank out and it freezes the pc ie caps lock, etc dont function. i`ve also tried it in someone else`s house with different monitor and the same occurred.

I checked it out, It would turn on and only the "repair" buttons would show up.So I told him I'll reformat it for him. Its an HP Pavillion G6. So I boot it up, i get to the repair page, and i hit reformat. I Tell him to call me back when it's done. Apparently, his laptop did not have enough battery left so It died during the recovery. Now I believe the harddrive is completely empty. Where could I acquire a legal copy of windows (the OEM serial key is under the laptop on a sticker). I found an ISO File on microsoft's website. Its downloading at 500kb/second (3gb file)Is there anywhere I could download it quicker? Maybe torrent, etc. I would much rather prefer to suck the life out of my 1.5mb/s connection.
