I'm trying to do a clean installation of Windows 7 x86 on my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop that I bought in July 2008. It's been running Windows Vista 32-bit without any trouble. Yesterday I purchased the Windows 7 Professional 32-bit upgrade from Digital River and downloaded the ISO. I've burned it onto two separate DVDs using different software and a different computer each time (the second time I used Alcohol 120% and made sure that it was on the slowest setting). Now I'm downloading the iso again.
Each time I try to install it (which has been many times, now, trying different configurations of partitions, etc) I get the error message "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570"
I've read through just about every thread I could find on this site and others and nothing seems to help. The only thing I haven't done is mess with the RAM, but I'd prefer not to do that as I don't have any experience opening up laptops (although I have built three desktops).
I'm running Dell Inspiron 1525 Windows 7 64-bit and having problems with my beatuful dell touchpad, which works just fine except horizontal and vertical scrolling. I have already read some materials on the web and have downloaded of couble of useless stuff but the problems hasn't gone. I like my Dell Inspiron 1525, but the 64-bit drivers really suck.
On another partiiton I'm running SuSE and it looks much better than Windows 7.
I have a dell inspiron 1525 with 2gb ran dual core and i downloaded the upgrade advisor for windows 7 and it said that it has all the requirements to run windows 7 but I just want to make sure...
I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium and I noticed the following: Several Microsoft services have been stopped. Should I get these running? If so how do I do that? Is "logmeinrescue" a bad program? Also can the following events be solved? A lot are from "Bonjour Service". Should I be worried about these?
I cant make my touchpad work. I downloaded off the synaptics web site for x64 drivers and it still doesn't work. Am i doomed to not have my touchpad work?
I have been a having a problem with my inspiron 1525 with windows 7 32-bit loaded on it. Whenever I play any DVD it either locks up the drive, explorer and the wait chain says that its waiting for network io or the playback comes out garbled. Usually this happens if I boot up the PC and then warm reboot it and the drive won't even eject. I have forced ejected it with a paper clip but explorer doesn't even recognize that it just finally starts to spin up the drive outside the pc. and an attempted bios update but that almost fried my motherboard but it flashed itself back to A13 from A17 automatically. the Drive I am using is pbds dvd+-rw ds-8w1p
my laptop has intergrated bluetooth but when i try and add a device on it it says its missing the driver.Where can i download a free driver as i havent got the CDs that came with the laptop?
