Feb 1, 2010I tried to install Windows 7 x64 on a machine that I already had Windows 7 32 bit successfully installed. But the 64 bit install failed with message "A required cd/dvd driver is needed...." . Removed everything from the motherboard except one hdd/sata and tried installing from usb image too and the same dreadful cd/dvd driver needed message stops the install.... any clue ?

Sep 4, 2009I have 2 RTM copies of Windows 7 I'm testing both are 64bit and both normally have ATI cards installed (one is a 4650 the other a 4870). The problem is I get a BSOD doing the following: 1. Change resolution 2. Change Refresh rate 3. Change Primary/secondary monitors 4. Load a game that changes the resolution
The following do not: 1. Setting Over-scan 2. Setting 3d settings 3. Under clocking GPU [Anything else on the system including playing games that do not change the resolution]. I have about 20 hours into setting up this system and have already wasted an activation on it. I need a way to adjust the resolution without a BSOD occurring every time (note changes are lost). I'm looking for some kind of solution to this issue.

Jan 4, 2010I'm trying to do a clean installation of Windows 7 x86 on my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop that I bought in July 2008. It's been running Windows Vista 32-bit without any trouble. Yesterday I purchased the Windows 7 Professional 32-bit upgrade from Digital River and downloaded the ISO. I've burned it onto two separate DVDs using different software and a different computer each time (the second time I used Alcohol 120% and made sure that it was on the slowest setting). Now I'm downloading the iso again.
Each time I try to install it (which has been many times, now, trying different configurations of partitions, etc) I get the error message "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570"
I've read through just about every thread I could find on this site and others and nothing seems to help. The only thing I haven't done is mess with the RAM, but I'd prefer not to do that as I don't have any experience opening up laptops (although I have built three desktops).
Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

2- You would never get the answer to your mail.
3- See the below link, use the vista driver, if doesn't work, your web cam isn't supported for win 7. But I think that your web cam should work with the vista driver or win 7 install the correct driver from internet.

The first thing that you should try is to connect using the wired network and apply all updates. It's possible that a driver may have been added that was not part of the retail package (this certainly happens with printers).
The second thing that you should be aware of is that there are a number of different chipsets used for the wireless network in the Inspiron so the following link may or may not help. (A solution is given in the last but one post.)
