How do I delete the apps ads on my top task bar on Mozilla Firefox..These ads really are starting to bother me. I also have one that appears in the bottom right corner of my screen when I'm looking at a searched item?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the longest time both IE and Mozilla Firefox worked perfectly fine except for if i clicked a Google link i was always redirected but I was able to find a way around that but recently on two profiles on my home computer both IE and Mozilla Firefox wont open i have tried to click on them i have tried to run them as administrator and i have tried re-installing Mozilla Firefox i have also tried opening through other programs that give you the option to open your selected browser from there but nothing works i have even tried making a new profile in which they opened perfectly but when i turned the computer off for the night and turned it back on the new profile had the same issue.

I upgraded my graphics card from GT 240 1GB GDDR5 to HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 in November 2012.But I am noticing a strange issue recently but have no idea whether the card has something to do with it.The problem occurs very rarely though it is annoying. During browsing using Mozilla Firefox, the Firefox freezes, then whole system freezes and returns to normal within seconds with a single beep sound from speakers/headphones. I have tried "turning off hardware acceleration" but still it occurs without that.There are no issues other this.Only freezes and returns to normal within seconds.
The driver version :Catalyst 12.8 {I have tried Catalyst 12.10 and even Beta version 12.11 but the problem exists in all drivers. But catalyst 12.8 seems to be stable with games and uses very low power while playing HD videos in my own benchmark. So I am using 12.8.} Mozilla Firefox version : 18.0 {The same issue was present in previous Firefox versions (17 series) and I haven't tried versions older than that due to security risk} Can anyone tell what the problem might be? Besides graphics card is stable and fur mark test run successfully with 65-70 degree C temp as highest.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOn an irregular basis, sometimes 4 or 5 times a day or sometimes once a week, when I start up Mozilla Firefox it will only start in safe mode. I have to restart the computer (HP TouchSmart desk top) to get it to run correctly. If I try Internet explorer, when it's doing this, it keeps opening up new windows until it won't open up anymore.
I have all my updates up to date, anybody got any ideas. I run Norton antivirus which also automatically updates.
I need to solve my problem with "Not Responding" browser. My browser is Mozilla Firefox 18.0.1 (latest as of this date). When I browse using it, it starts normally but after a minute or two, the browser starts to "hang" and above the browser window, a "Not Responding" message shows up after the Mozilla Firefox name. This makes my PC slow down, and even opening the Task Manager takes a minute to show. But, if I wait, it will return to running status. It just too annoying to have this problem everytime I do browsing. I already uninstall and reinstall the browser but problem persists. I don't know if Mozilla Firefox is the problem, I have some doubt because I use this a long time before this problem occurred.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWindows 7 Premium 64 bit's Task Manager used to show a bar with pplications/Processes etc., with lists below making it possible to "end-now" some apps and stop some processes at least for a while to save on CPU/Memory usage. There was also provision by a menu bar at the top of Task Manager window to shut down pc etc., from within the task manager.Presently my Windows 7 Premium 64 bit's Task Manager shows only what looks like a list of processes (Not Applications) topped by a head-bar having Name/PID/Description/Status/Group and a selectable button at the bottom right for Services.(I could have uploaded ascreen if this Ask Your Question Form had provided for attachments!).I suspect this change in Task Manager came after some new installs - Windows Updates etc.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI moved my Thunderbird and Firefox profile folders from their original locations in Roaming... to a C: ... location because their backups were in Compatibility Files. When I went to start either one, I got a close program message. It stated that FF (or when starting TB), they were already running and had to be closed. I then ran Process Explorer and Windows Task Manager. neither of whih showed any indication that these programs were running. I then return the profiles to their original locations, and FF and TB returned to normal.

Recently I used Task Scheduler to program my laptop to shut down at a certain time every night. Tonight I decided that I wanted to delete the scheduled shutdown, but I can't figure out how to do it. I've followed the directions under Delete a Task, which instruct me to to click Delete in the Actions pane. The problem is that I don't see a Delete option in the Actions pane.

I now have a problem where when I enter my desktop it starts off completely black HOWEVER the mouse pointer is still there and can still move.After a few minutes the desktop taskbar pops up but it doesn't respond and stays like this. It's at this point where i decde to manually shut down my computer.I can ctrl+alt+delete but the task manager does not appear. I can enter safe mode.it might be a virus. View 14 Replies View RelatedI was Deleting 19 GB of data, It was taking time so i canceled it by pressing cancel, Even cancellation was taking Time so i used task manager to stop the deletion.
But Here come the problem the deleted folders were not in the recycle bin & not in the path from were i deleted.. Even worst is that memory of 19 GB is still Occupied.
I can only connect to the network using 64 bit applications on Window 7 Pro SP1.The problem occured after installing the latest version of iTunes (may or may not be related). I uninstalled iTunes with no change. IE 32 bit crashes after opening. Firefox opens but gives Server Not Found error. I cannot connect webservers on the local network with Firefox either. Filezilla will not connect to local or remote servers. VNC will not connect to local servers - IE 64 works fine and command line tools like ftp and telnet to internal and external sites works fine - this is not a DNS, Firewall, or Routing issue.

I reset the winsock, uninstalled all my network adapters, including the drivers and resinstalled them.Rebooted multiple times.Unfortunately I just discoved that System Restore was not enabled so I can't roll back.I doubt this is malware related as I have multiple levels of defense (postini, SpyShelter, Symantec Endpoint) and outside of iTunes have not downloaded or installed anything or even visited unusual websites. I'm about to do a deep scan that will probably take a few hours just to play it safe.
i need to have a task run that will move the contents of a folder from one computer to another over my home LAN. Files get downloaded during the night on one computer and then need to be transfered to another. Usually I am doing this by hand, but then though maybe I could get the task scheduler to do it for me.I understand how to create a task, however I am having trouble with the action tab. I was thinking that I should start windows explorer (where is explorer located for win 7 x64 machines?) under the action tab, but once I do this I am not sure how to tell explorer to check the source folder, select all the files in it and then move it to the target folder.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have installed this game, Singularity. The game worked fine for a week then suddenly It would crash as soon as it was opened from the desktop shortcut. The game is patched to it's latest version, I have direct x all other runtimes and PhysX installed from the CD. The shortcut it set to run as Admin in compatibility. No matter if i try with the desktop shortcut or from the exe in the folder or from the shortcut in the start menu the game will crash asap. The only way this game runs is by pulling up task manager and selecting New Task then browsing to the games exe. Malwarebytes reports no viruses or any malware. Tried reinstalling, and it didn't help.

I had already setup a task to run upon logon when I noticed that the PC's name was all jacked. So I changed the pc's name and rebooted. After reboot the task disappeared from the task scheduler list but still runs. Is there anyway to remove this ghost task when it is no longer visible in the task scheduler?I thought about changing the name back temporarily to see if the task would show up but I have no idea what that name was, so that is not an option.
