I'm having a problem with copy and paste - I copy a bold face sentence and it is pasted non-bold face and sometimes it pasted with different space settings?Reload the Word program?
View 4 Repliesi was just thinking about how it might be nice to have a semi opache live face to face chat in the side of your screen while your playing, i know you dont really tend to be able to look over that much, but it defiantly helps boost understanding and comunication with clan members i could assume. asspecialy when you are trying to work out strategys that might be hard to explain.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is serious but whenever i boot my computer it runs fine but pauses after the bios and a small grey smiley face appears in the top left of the screen. It doesn't stop me from booting just pauses it, I then have to press a key to continue booting. Should i be worried about this? I'm worried it may be a virus of some sort however i don't see any affect on my computer?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have the driver and software for the above the above laptop. Originally this was a vista but I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and lost the webcam as a result! I would like the use of it back. The drivers are for vista 32bit...but would they work now its become Windows 7? How would I know its working properly and how do you operate the webcam anyway? Face Recognition. I've heard that this facility doesn't work correctly.

So my Windows looks absolutely normal, except in SOME programs I have a bold font problem that I can't get rid of. I've seem to have tried all the fixes that other people have posted on the web but I cannot fix this. Programs like Ventrilo have this problem, but no where in Windows does this problem exist. url... View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been applying different visual styles to my machine, and I recently applied one that had a small font, which I didn't really like.. So I deleted that font from my system fonts, and then reapplied the theme (I really like the theme, except for the font used). However, now I can't view some dialogs, like the windows sounds dialog for example, as you can see in the attached screenshot below. I imagine that somewhere in the visual style, the size of the font is enlarged, so as the accomodate the supplied, smaller, font. I don't know how to change it back.. I've tried applying different visual styles, and even the default visual style (through the Personalize dialog).Does anyone know how I can change the font back to the original size? [code]
View 14 Replies View RelatedToday I decided to get a new theme for my web browser (Firefox) so I did. I found one that I liked and downloaded it and installed it. At the same time I was cleaning games and apps I was not using. As I was browsing trough the list of apps i noticed that the pop up box of Skype (when someone signs in) has bold font. I clicked and opened Skype to discover that the font there is bold as well. Then I saw it on Facebook actually every web page has a bold font now.. Some other apps i use (Hamachi, Antispy, etc..) show up the same way.I want to say again that my dialog boxes, system windows and desktop icons are fine like they were. Is there a way to make individual file name fonts look different than others (bold, color, italics, etc)? I would prefer not to use a 3rd party file manager: I read that if a file is compressed, the file name turns blue. If it is not possible to do what I am asking above, is there any downside to compressing the files I wish to distinguish, so their file names will turn blue?

Here's a typical scoresheetI used to copy the scoresheet and paste it into Word, edit it and send it off as part of the report. The newspaper could also copy and paste it at their end. Fine.Now I have a Win 7 machine and, I may be incorrectly blaming this on the OS, I can copy the scoresheet into Word but I get an uneditable block, looking only vaguely like the scoresheet I copied.I imagine that there is just some "tick" I haven't put in a box somewhere but it would make a massive difference if I could find that box.

In the middle of a word the next letter suddenly skips backwards and inserts itself randomly in the middle of a previous word breaking up the sentence until you try to correct it. Then it's back to typing as usual before it happens again! Laptop is under warranty but all they said they can do is replace mother board.

For instance, if I wanted to copy the following bolded word word and then paste it anywhere else in the document, I now get this: word (without the bold). View 4 Replies View RelatedHow can I get Windows 7 to name copied files using the scheme "Copy of" (used in Windows XP and earlier) instead of the default scheme "- Copy", whenever a file is copied to the same directory as the original file?In other words, if you copy a file named "Foo.txt" in a directory to the same directory, Windows XP would have named that file "Copy of Foo.txt", but Windows 7 names the file "Foo - Copy.txt". I want the copy to be named "Copy of Foo.txt".There are several reasons why I prefer the XP style file name:
1. It is familiar :-)
2. I have existing files that use the XP style file names, and I want all my file copies to use the same naming scheme. I guess I can do a massive file rename across all my backups, but that would solve only one of my problems.
3. Most of my folders are sorted by name, and using XP style would sort all copies together. On other forums it has been suggested that one can simply sort by date (to get the copies sorted together), but that advice assumes that all copies are created after all other files are created, which is actually not often the case.
4. I often work with long file names, which means that the end of the file name is often obscured, unless I have wide windows (not always possible) and use lots of horizontal scrolling every time I want to select a file. Hovering over a file to get its full name is a cumbersome solution.
5. On other forums some have given the advice to always make copies in subfolders, but I often make copies or copies of copies while I work (it allows me to roll back or to check earlier versions of a file quickly, during my work), and using subfolders would slow me down tremendously (not to mention confuse me).
I know that when TeraCopy is made the copy handler, it renames files in a different way than Windows 7 does, though unfortunately not the way Windows XP did it. Also, if one installs a third-party directory program such as Opus, it asks for a file name every time a copy is made, but I need something that simply names the file correctly immediately.
I have installed windows 7 evaluation copy build 7201 and i want to find out if i will be able to upgrade it to the original copy and how? Any suggestions?

It was working fine a few days ago but I can't seem to copy any file though I can easily read the files stored at a very high speed. But the problem is probably with my computer since I can copy files from my laptop without an itch.
P.S. I use Windows 7 32-bit on both PC and laptop.
I have a Windows 7 pc with an external 500Mb usb hard drive. As it is getting full I've added a 2Tb usb drive. When I try to copy/move files by drag and drop from the 500Mb to the 2Tb it just sits there analysing files and locks up explorer. I tried using FBackup and had the same problem.Also, I cannot transfer files across the wireless network from an XP laptop, although that used to work.
