How To Change Individual File Name Font To Bold Or Color To Stand Out

I have certain files and folders that I would like to distinguish from others, without creating a new folder. (I have enough folders as it is.) Is there a way to make individual file name fonts look different than others (bold, color, italics, etc)? I would prefer not to use a 3rd party file manager: I read that if a file is compressed, the file name turns blue. If it is not possible to do what I am asking above, is there any downside to compressing the files I wish to distinguish, so their file names will turn blue?

I just installed a new theme on my computer. The background is lighter than previous themes. Contrary to instructions, the Font color remained white, which makes reading the icons difficult. I have performed a search, but I have been unable to find a way to change the font color to black.

I have a problem regarding window color and appearance... i want to change the font on my window color and appearance suddenly the resolution of that box is bigger not like before is smaller.. like before i can see how to change font on the menu, web browser and etc. does it possible to change that resolution or adjusting the size of that box or the browser windows?.i want to change the font because it affects on my menu fonts, web browser, and etc.This is the image happens to my window color and appearance.

How do I change font to Black? The fonts on all the Windows 7 windows, titles, information screens, are all some kind of washed out blue or gray. Almost impossible to read! How do I get just plain Black text?

So my Windows looks absolutely normal, except in SOME programs I have a bold font problem that I can't get rid of. I've seem to have tried all the fixes that other people have posted on the web but I cannot fix this. Programs like Ventrilo have this problem, but no where in Windows does this problem exist. url... That is what my Ventrilo looks like. I've only seen this so far in this program and Valve Hammer Editor. url...

I have been applying different visual styles to my machine, and I recently applied one that had a small font, which I didn't really like.. So I deleted that font from my system fonts, and then reapplied the theme (I really like the theme, except for the font used). However, now I can't view some dialogs, like the windows sounds dialog for example, as you can see in the attached screenshot below. I imagine that somewhere in the visual style, the size of the font is enlarged, so as the accomodate the supplied, smaller, font. I don't know how to change it back.. I've tried applying different visual styles, and even the default visual style (through the Personalize dialog).Does anyone know how I can change the font back to the original size? [code]

Today I decided to get a new theme for my web browser (Firefox) so I did. I found one that I liked and downloaded it and installed it. At the same time I was cleaning games and apps I was not using. As I was browsing trough the list of apps i noticed that the pop up box of Skype (when someone signs in) has bold font. I clicked and opened Skype to discover that the font there is bold as well. Then I saw it on Facebook actually every web page has a bold font now.. Some other apps i use (Hamachi, Antispy, etc..) show up the same way.I want to say again that my dialog boxes, system windows and desktop icons are fine like they were. After playing a game I noticed everything was bold or italicized. My Arial Regular appeared to be missing so I reinstalled that but everything is still messed up.

In Office 2003, users were able to change the colour of an individual Calendar entry which was within a series. As far as I can see Office 2010 does not allow this.

I deleted a few fonts from my font folder the other day and it seems that a few OS fonts were deleted in the process. Usually Ive got a message saying something along the lines of "this is a OS font" or "in use".Question:I noticed that my default calculator font is missing and was curious if anyone knows what font the calculator uses. I got a substituted font from the deleted one, but it looks terrible.If nobody knows the above.I went into a font deletion frenzy because I had some non-OS fonts that made my font list bulky and it took a while to scroll to the more used fonts.So I deleted some to combat this. Photoshop loads a lot faster as well due to less fonts(my little takeaway tip from all this)

This chinese font looks awful in english and more awful in russian:Teamviewer in not the only program that uses this font. I know it can be changed as there is another font in these lines on the other computers.Changing default language for non-Unicode programs does not help.

I recently noticed that dialogue boxes of certain programs use a wrong font and I have tried everything I could find on the web to change it to no avail, e.g.resetting font settings to default. In Windows 7 how can I change "Folders View" for individual folders without changing them system wide. For example if I select "always show icons" all my folders are set this way, and that's fine. But there are a few folders I have containing jpeg images, and I want to view those as "thumbnails" without effecting the others which are set to always show icons.
This was very easy to do in Windows XP but I can't figure out how to do it in Windows 7.

When I restarted my computer today. It came up with a strange font on the screen.
