In Office 2003, users were able to change the colour of an individual Calendar entry which was within a series. As far as I can see Office 2010 does not allow this.

With XP and Office 2003, it was easy to export (and then mport) the calendar and contact files. How do I do this trasnfer with Windows 7/Outlook 2010?
I would like to change the color scheme of Outlook 2003 and Word 2003. I am running on Windows 7 but there does not seem to be an option to alter the color scheme of the programs. I can change the Windows theme but not the color scheme of the programs like Outlook and Word. Is this not possible anymore or is blue the only color available?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI may have misunderstood the literature regarding the language packs or language proofing tools. 1st of all I am not sure if they are the different names for the same thing or not. Are they? 2nd I do not in ay way want to change my UI with a different language. All I want to be able to do is -1- let Office not give me those squiggly red lines when I write in a different language -2- be able to spell-check and grammar check in the other language. And since I often use more than one language at the same time (2 to 3) be able to use all of the languages for spell-check etc. at the same time.What I have legally downloaded are 3 files that have such a series of numbers/letters: X16-37717.exe, X16-37707.exe， X16-37690.exe.

Is there a way to make individual file name fonts look different than others (bold, color, italics, etc)? I would prefer not to use a 3rd party file manager: I read that if a file is compressed, the file name turns blue. If it is not possible to do what I am asking above, is there any downside to compressing the files I wish to distinguish, so their file names will turn blue?

When I try and sync my iPhone 3 it does not sync the events from my calendar on the phone to my outlook 2010. I have tried uninstalling both Outlook and iTunes but still not getting anywhere.

Outlook 2010 shared calendar showing up as busy with no details. Just started to happen and I've checked the permission on the calendar and the other user who's having the issue is set as publish editor. There are several other people that have been given access to the calendar and they are not having this issue.

In ToolsOptions., I've tried to set the default reminder time to a shorter interval. But no matter what I set it to--10 minutes, 12 minutes, 5 minutes--Outlook keeps reminding me of each appointment 15 minutes in advance. In ToolsOptions, there's a checkbox called "Default Reminder:" Whether I check it or leave it unchecked has no effect on the reminder time either--Outlook keeps reminding me of each appointment 15 minutes in advance.

These were lost during the upgrade but are on my laptop, which still runs Office 2003, as .dot type files and I also have them copied to a memory stick. However, I am at a loss as to how and where to save them into the new programme on my desktop PC. If it makes a difference, I should add that I do not use Libraries and have disabled them.

I had also recently pruchased Office 2010 and installed that on my new machine.Now, when I try to open those 32bit 2007 files with 64bt 2011, Iget an error message that "no picture file is available", or words to that effect. When I try to "open with", the only option displayed is "Microsoft Office" with an icon that looks like a picture file. When I try to browse to the proper office program(Excel, for example), there are none of teh Office suite programs displayed, only "Microsoft Office".I can navigate seperately to the proper progran, Excel, etc., and drag the file into the application, and it opens, and all seems to work OK. I "save as" the proper application file, but it still will not open with double-click on the file name.

Till now, I have not used the online Office Live calendar, I've simply used the default Outlook calendar on my computer. Today, though, I received a meeting request from a client. I "accepted" the meeting and checked in my calendar to make sure it had recorded it, but could not see it. I eventually found it in my online Office Live calendar.So now I have two active calendars, which I don't want. Can I tell Office Live to record appointments to my Outlook default calendar? Or would I be better off switching to the online Office Live calendar? If I do the latter, is there a quick and easy (!) way to transfer all my appointments from my default Outlook calendar to the online version?(One reason for wanting to use only one calendar is that my HTC smartphone will only sync to one calendar, so it doesn't pick up any appointments on any other calendar.)

However, when it restarted, the screen is now changing from red to bright green, to blue, to gray, darker gray, gradient white/gray, black, and repeat. Is it supposed to do this? It seems like the hard drive is still active as the indicator light flickers, but I haven't seen any tutorial that mentions this happening.
