View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new computer came with Office 2010 Starter installed. I believe I activated it. Then I installed my last legal version of Office Home 2007. Now neither one seems to be working properly. I probably should have uninstalled 2010 prior to installing 2007. How do I remove 2010 without screwing up 2007?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving upgraded my desktop PC to Office 2010, I need to import three seperate letter template files for use in Word. These were lost during the upgrade but are on my laptop, which still runs Office 2003, as .dot type files and I also have them copied to a memory stick. However, I am at a loss as to how and where to save them into the new programme on my desktop PC. If it makes a difference, I should add that I do not use Libraries and have disabled them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI now have a new problem, before I managed to open 2007 files by opening Office 2010 and then from inside the application choosing to open a file. The problem I have though is if I just try to open an Office 2007 file then I can't open it, and I can't change the default program to open it. How do you get Office 2010 to open all the Office 2007 files such as word, excel etc?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new laptop with Windows7 64bit installed-my first exposure to Windows7. I had Office 2007 installed on my old Dell 32 bit machine. I had also recently pruchased Office 2010 and installed that on my new machine. Now, when I try to open those 32bit 2007 files with 64bt 2011, Iget an error message that "no picture file is available", or words to that effect. When I try to "open with", the only option displayed is "Microsoft Office" with an icon that looks like a picture file. When I try to browse to the proper office program(Excel, for example), there are none of teh Office suite programs displayed, only "Microsoft Office".I can navigate seperately to the proper progran, Excel, etc., and drag the file into the application, and it opens, and all seems to work OK. I "save as" the proper application file, but it still will not open with double-click on the file name.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI "installed" microsoft office starter 2010 on my computer. After a week, I have not been able to open any programs affiliated with microsoft office starter due to click 2 run configuration failure. I was wanting to "uninstall" mso starter due to all the hassles with the program so I did a system restore with a date prior to the "installation." Will this completely remove mso starter from my hard drive?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst off if this is the wrong way to post please forgive as I'm a complete novice.I have a laptop that was legally covered using Office 2010 Professional Plus (via company MS action pack but is no longer legit.I've probably caused the problem by trying to be honest.I have purchased a DVD copy of Office 2010 Home and Business and am trying to NOT uninstall all of the Prof Plus for fear of messing up outlook and server settings. I have tried using add/remove program change key but it says I have an invalid key.I am guessing what it is saying it is invalid for Prof Plus.I have removed all of the applications that are not part of Office 2010 Home and Business.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a terrible time trying to trace down "not responding" in various programs. About 90% of the time however, it occurs in Outlook 2010 and sometimes in Word 2010. I took down the information from the event viewer after the last time it happened so badly that I had to restart the program because waiting didn't bring it back. Win 7 Prof, SP1. i7, 930 with 24 gig of 1333 Kingston HyperX ram. Several drives: C SSD Plextor and Office is actually installed on a WD Caviar. Neither drive show errors. Only thing I see is that the Caviar is using Microsoft 2006 driver and I haven't been able to find a newer driver. Happens when SATA is set to AHCI and when it is set to IDE.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot remember purchasing MS 2010, but I must have when I bought the PC (there isn't a sticker for it on the machine). In either case I am without the disc or the key.I'm unsure what to do next - can I simply buy another 'key' to activate it? Do I need to buy the disk as well (which is far more expensive). I'm also curious as to how they reinstalled it (bit of a moot point though).
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen ever I start a Microsoft Office 2010 application I always get an error. It's Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student.
Excel- "Not enough memory to start Excel. Please close other applications and try again" Word- Crashes as soon as I start it OneNote- "OneNote cannot start because the Microsoft Office installation is missing the required files. Run Office setup again to repair the installation" PowerPoint- Splash screen flashes and nothing else happens
I have also tried going to install and clicking repair but it still doesn't work.
I have one copy of Office 2010 Pro OEM from Dell.I activated it on Windows 7, the host OS.I also installed Windows XP Mode/Virtual PC on the same laptop.I need Excel 2010 in Virtual PC. but when it came time to activate, Excel was denied activation.MS saw the Office 2010 activation instance under the host OS.Technically it's the same PC, but I only get to choose one OS to activate it on.This is disappointing.Other than getting another product key, can I activate one copy of Office 2010 on both Win 7 and Windows XP Mode
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe bought Office 2010 with product key code in Feb. and today, when I tried to open a Word doc. it said that Office wasn't installed. I checked the control panel programs and the Office file showed up with no MB of data in it, so I used the key on the Microsoft website and successfully downloaded Office and saved it to my desktop, but when I opened the file as instructed to reinstall the program, I got an error message saying that the setup had encountered a problem and that Windows couldn't find a solution for it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install a Romanian dictionary (which doesn't come together with the office 2010 default installation), but I keep getting a very message at same stage, something like: the installation has encountered an error, and no other details regarding the problem. I have a windows 7 pro 64x, I've downloaded the 64 version of the dictionary (language pack), because the office is x64 also; I tried to install it from a privileged user and I guess that's it.

Because, the company I work for is offering full blown promotional copies of MS office to all us employees, I want to remove my purchased copy and save it for later use on another computer. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just moved a client over to a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit and Office 2010 from Windows XP with Office 2007. This client is having an issue with auto-complete contacts. This person has the need to be very productive and does not want to waste time going through their contacts to find each individual email address they wish to send email to. I have been looking around and the only thing I can find is about a .nk2 file being hidden on the old machine. Right now all I have is dial in access, and I would really like to have this fixed for them this weekend if at all possible. Is there any application out that works with Office 2010, where I can recreate a auto complete list so that every time they start to type the name, they can go ahead and have that automatically populate the TO: field? Or is there a way to make their contacts autocomplete

I was wondering what is the best way to ensure that all traces of office 2010 are removed from my computer?
