Missing Microsoft Office Starter 2010 From The Installation Disk?
Sep 10, 2012
I bought a Samsung RF711 with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Starter 2010 in June 2012. I had to reinstall the system from the DVD. While Windows 7 is up and running, there seems to be no installation files for Microsoft Office Starter 2010.The Samsung support website for this computer does not offer an Office download
I "installed" microsoft office starter 2010 on my computer. After a week, I have not been able to open any programs affiliated with microsoft office starter due to click 2 run configuration failure. I was wanting to "uninstall" mso starter due to all the hassles with the program so I did a system restore with a date prior to the "installation." Will this completely remove mso starter from my hard drive?
After installing office [did it a few times one from dvd and another extracted to folder]... after installing when restart it says Office 2010 has stopped working. When trying to install from folder it says Microsoft Bootstrap manager or something has stopped working. What can I do? This is all a clean install with no previous office on a brand new PC with nothing inside.... when it did not worked I reimage windows 7 back [pristine format with nothing on] and tried folder method. Both did not work
My new computer came with Office 2010 Starter installed. I believe I activated it. Then I installed my last legal version of Office Home 2007. Now neither one seems to be working properly. I probably should have uninstalled 2010 prior to installing 2007. How do I remove 2010 without screwing up 2007?
I have the office starter 2010 student in my lap for two years now. the proram is not responding. i have try everything. can i unistall and download for free or i may have to by a new one?

Please close other applications and try again" Word- Crashes as soon as I start it OneNote- "OneNote cannot start because the Microsoft Office installation is missing the required files. Run Office setup again to repair the installation" PowerPoint- Splash screen flashes and nothing else happens
I have also tried going to install and clicking repair but it still doesn't work.

I uninstalled it previously because the icons were missing. So trying to reinstall it I keep getting a rather unspecific error just saying "an error has occurred". screen shot : http://i55.tinypic.com/vwzypj.png, I really need this to do homework n stuff.
Trying to install Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student on a brand new computer, went through the process with no problems so when it finished it wanted me to restart, so I did and when it restarted absolutely nothing, no word, excel anything except the same installation startup software so I tried again and this time it came up with some starter version of word and excel...thats it, no proper programs just rubbish, no outlook, publisher or powerpoint. Decided to restart thinking it just a glitch and now all I've got is Onenote. Given up after 2 hours of being annoyed at every step trying to get it to work
I recently got a laptop with a Starter version of Microsoft Office 2010 installed on it. As this Starter version does not give full use of the features within Excel, I wanted to install my Home and Student Office 2007. I installed Office 2007 alongside the Starter 2010, however this caused quite a few problems with File associations so I decided to uninstall Office 2010, unfortunately this meant that Office 2007 also did not work as I believe I hadn't installed and uninstalled things in the right order. I therefore did a system restore to when Office Starter 2010 was on the laptop without 2007. I uninstalled both the Office Starter 2010 file and the Office 2010 file from the Program files. I tried to also uninstall the Office 2010 Click to Run file, however this would not uninstall. It just comes up with an error message "this action cannot be completed. try action again. if problem continues, contact microsoft product support". I have now installed Home and Student Office 2007 and it seems to be working, despite the Office 2010 Click to Run file still being on the computer. Is it okay to leave the Click to Run file and the associated Q drive there and be running Office 2007? Or do I need to make sure I eradicate the Click to Run altogether?
When I upgraded to Vista I had a folder system which had been developed over many years and had no interest in Vistas pre installed sytem, so I installed my old file system named UserName in C:UsersLoginNameDocumentsUserName. This turned out to be a poor choice. Now I want to move to a new Windows 7 computer which I have had for a few months. I am considering a location that would be more convenient and wonder if C:UserName would be a reasonable choice. Microsoft's choices in Windows 7 and Office 2010 are not appealing to me. I am looking for suggections.
How do I disable display scaling in "Microsoft Office 2010"? Checking disable in properties doesn't work like it does for non Microsoft programs. Does anyone know an advanced way to trick it into disabling DPI scaling?
I have had Microsoft Office Professional 2010 installed on my home computer for a couple of years and a few days ago it refused to open any Office files saying something about the registry and that I had to fix Office using programs in the control menu. This didn't work so I tried uninstalling office and reinstalling it but I get the following error message:
Error 1406. Setup cannot write the value to the registry key SoftwareClassesInterface {9149345A-5191-11CF-8700-00AA0060263B} TypeLib. Verify that you have sufficient permissions to access the registry or contact Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) for assistance. For information about how to contact PSS, see C:UsersMajaAppDataLocalTempSetup000012d8PSS10R.CHM.
I have full administrator permission and controls on my computer. I have uninstalled any useless programs that have recently been installed including a norton web checking side program but it hasn't made any difference.
Windows 7 and Microsoft office 2010 Spell check does not work. You get a message that this section is complete , etc.Not one mispelled word is found. I have read other people's comments on other sites.
I may have misunderstood the literature regarding the language packs or language proofing tools. 1st of all I am not sure if they are the different names for the same thing or not. Are they? 2nd I do not in ay way want to change my UI with a different language. All I want to be able to do is -1- let Office not give me those squiggly red lines when I write in a different language -2- be able to spell-check and grammar check in the other language. And since I often use more than one language at the same time (2 to 3) be able to use all of the languages for spell-check etc. at the same time. What I have legally downloaded are 3 files that have such a series of numbers/letters: X16-37717.exe, X16-37707.exe, X16-37690.exe.
Win 7 x64. Office 2010. Icons missing on both desktop and start up menu, managed to restore my adobe ones but still unable to sort my office icons out.I've tried other ideas off multiple forums but as yet I've been unsuccessful. Can not repair/uninstall office. tried to rebuild icon cache.db , used replacement icon files that were posted on a forum and copied them over. The problem was either linked to ccleaner (over reaching its bounds) or when I made changes to windows and registry folders (probably the latter)
I am trying to fix OEM Genuine MS Office Starter 2010, running on Win 7 x64 on Asus N55S i5-2430M since 2011, It crashes and won't allow use bcos specific file missing.
I recently got an SSD, and did a fresh install on it. However, I notice that I'm missing my Microsoft Office pack. I'm wondering if this is because of my Win 7 upgrade disk. I originally had vista but got the free win 7 upgrade for it and was mailed a copy of win 7 and upgraded directly from it. I'm guessing my microsoft office pack is on the vista install disk. How do I retrieve my microsoft office pack and install it onto my new ssd
Best Buy lost my copy of MS Office 2003 professional Edition 2 years ago. They gave me MS Office Professional 2007 Upgrade and installed it for on my computer. My computer's hard drive has failed and I purchased a new one yesterday. I need to know how to install my MS Office Prof 2007 Upgrade without a previous version installed on the new PC. There must be a way since Best Buy did this for me last time.

I am taking an online college course. When answering questions we were advised to first type our answers into micrsoft word and then copy and paste into the website. The school website only has basic spell check that is the reason for copy and pasting.I have Word 2010 and Windows 7.
Having upgraded my desktop PC to Office 2010, I need to import three seperate letter template files for use in Word. These were lost during the upgrade but are on my laptop, which still runs Office 2003, as .dot type files and I also have them copied to a memory stick. However, I am at a loss as to how and where to save them into the new programme on my desktop PC. If it makes a difference, I should add that I do not use Libraries and have disabled them.
I now have a new problem, before I managed to open 2007 files by opening Office 2010 and then from inside the application choosing to open a file. The problem I have though is if I just try to open an Office 2007 file then I can't open it, and I can't change the default program to open it. How do you get Office 2010 to open all the Office 2007 files such as word, excel etc?
