I have had Microsoft Office Professional 2010 installed on my home computer for a couple of years and a few days ago it refused to open any Office files saying something about the registry and that I had to fix Office using programs in the control menu. This didn't work so I tried uninstalling office and reinstalling it but I get the following error message:
Error 1406. Setup cannot write the value to the registry key SoftwareClassesInterface {9149345A-5191-11CF-8700-00AA0060263B} TypeLib. Verify that you have sufficient permissions to access the registry or contact Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) for assistance. For information about how to contact PSS, see C:UsersMajaAppDataLocalTempSetup000012d8PSS10R.CHM.
I have full administrator permission and controls on my computer. I have uninstalled any useless programs that have recently been installed including a norton web checking side program but it hasn't made any difference.
I have now spent what seems to have been Months trying to get these updates that I keep being told about to install. I have trawled the Web, looked at all the fixes and checked registry entries, nothing works. To be honest I am at a complete loss, everything else I have updates, but this 2010...no chance.I am UK based and the software was purchased for my daughter while she was at Uni from Software4Students, it does say not to be sold outside Europe.I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit?
How to activate Microsoft word 2010 professional plus? It says the copy of Microsoft office is not activated. It was already installed when i bought the computer. Not purchased it separately.

32bit. I installed all of the software which I run on it without any problems.When I try to update Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus (32bit) Windows Update only finds a few updates, and after they're installed it doesn't find anymore updates. It doesn't even find Office 2010 SP1.{Note: I had no problems with other updates like Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or other Microsoft updates.I tried uninstalling Office 2010 and installing it again but nothing changed. The privacy settings which show up the first time you run an Office application I set it as "Recommended settings".I also tried downloading Office 2010 SP1 (32bit) and when I tried to run it an error came up saying something like version mismatch (I presume that you need to install other updates before running the setup & I also tried to download an other update but the same error came up.)I didn't have this problem before I formatted the computer.}
Ordered a Dell Vostro configured specifically to run XP mode, along with Office 2010. Have received machine, recognize Office isn't installed for XP. Have reviewed several threads addressing issue. My question: I didn't want to purchase Office to run on Windows 7. Our server runs on XP, so that would be useless to me. Can't I obtain a license for what I purchased?
When ever I start a Microsoft Office 2010 application I always get an error. It's Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student.
Excel- "Not enough memory to start Excel. Please close other applications and try again" Word- Crashes as soon as I start it OneNote- "OneNote cannot start because the Microsoft Office installation is missing the required files. Run Office setup again to repair the installation" PowerPoint- Splash screen flashes and nothing else happens
I have also tried going to install and clicking repair but it still doesn't work.
I had to wipe my hard Drive and reinstall windows. In the process, i lost Microsoft Office Professional Academic. Now, I'd really like to not have to pay another 80 bucks for it, so how can i re download and reinstall it using my Product key? I bought the download version and I didn't get a backup disk
If i enter the key here... [URL] it says that the key does not represent a product which is available for a free download. Have i just been screwed over by Microsoft?
Upgraded from XP to Windows 7. When reloading my Microsoft Office Professional 2007, I loaded CD2 first. Can't get CD1 to load. My laptop is not online. Using husband's PC for this.

Trying to install Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student on a brand new computer, went through the process with no problems so when it finished it wanted me to restart, so I did and when it restarted absolutely nothing, no word, excel anything except the same installation startup software so I tried again and this time it came up with some starter version of word and excel...thats it, no proper programs just rubbish, no outlook, publisher or powerpoint. Decided to restart thinking it just a glitch and now all I've got is Onenote. Given up after 2 hours of being annoyed at every step trying to get it to work

I recently got a laptop with a Starter version of Microsoft Office 2010 installed on it. As this Starter version does not give full use of the features within Excel, I wanted to install my Home and Student Office 2007. I installed Office 2007 alongside the Starter 2010, however this caused quite a few problems with File associations so I decided to uninstall Office 2010, unfortunately this meant that Office 2007 also did not work as I believe I hadn't installed and uninstalled things in the right order. I therefore did a system restore to when Office Starter 2010 was on the laptop without 2007. I uninstalled both the Office Starter 2010 file and the Office 2010 file from the Program files. I tried to also uninstall the Office 2010 Click to Run file, however this would not uninstall. It just comes up with an error message "this action cannot be completed. try action again. if problem continues, contact microsoft product support". I have now installed Home and Student Office 2007 and it seems to be working, despite the Office 2010 Click to Run file still being on the computer. Is it okay to leave the Click to Run file and the associated Q drive there and be running Office 2007? Or do I need to make sure I eradicate the Click to Run altogether?
When I upgraded to Vista I had a folder system which had been developed over many years and had no interest in Vistas pre installed sytem, so I installed my old file system named UserName in C:UsersLoginNameDocumentsUserName. This turned out to be a poor choice. Now I want to move to a new Windows 7 computer which I have had for a few months. I am considering a location that would be more convenient and wonder if C:UserName would be a reasonable choice. Microsoft's choices in Windows 7 and Office 2010 are not appealing to me. I am looking for suggections.
How do I disable display scaling in "Microsoft Office 2010"? Checking disable in properties doesn't work like it does for non Microsoft programs. Does anyone know an advanced way to trick it into disabling DPI scaling?
Windows 7 and Microsoft office 2010 Spell check does not work. You get a message that this section is complete , etc.Not one mispelled word is found. I have read other people's comments on other sites.
I bought a Samsung RF711 with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Starter 2010 in June 2012. I had to reinstall the system from the DVD. While Windows 7 is up and running, there seems to be no installation files for Microsoft Office Starter 2010.The Samsung support website for this computer does not offer an Office download
After installing office [did it a few times one from dvd and another extracted to folder]... after installing when restart it says Office 2010 has stopped working. When trying to install from folder it says Microsoft Bootstrap manager or something has stopped working. What can I do? This is all a clean install with no previous office on a brand new PC with nothing inside.... when it did not worked I reimage windows 7 back [pristine format with nothing on] and tried folder method. Both did not work
I may have misunderstood the literature regarding the language packs or language proofing tools. 1st of all I am not sure if they are the different names for the same thing or not. Are they? 2nd I do not in ay way want to change my UI with a different language. All I want to be able to do is -1- let Office not give me those squiggly red lines when I write in a different language -2- be able to spell-check and grammar check in the other language. And since I often use more than one language at the same time (2 to 3) be able to use all of the languages for spell-check etc. at the same time. What I have legally downloaded are 3 files that have such a series of numbers/letters: X16-37717.exe, X16-37707.exe, X16-37690.exe.
I am trying to install Office Professional 2007 on a computer with Windows 7 Home Premium. Is this OS compatible with this suite? I receive an error after trying to install and the error instructed to get help information from a file located at C:Users... I could not find the app folder in the location it stated. This makes me think, that the windows 7 home premium edition has to be upgraded to the home pro in order for this suite to install. does anyone have any suggestions?
I "installed" microsoft office starter 2010 on my computer. After a week, I have not been able to open any programs affiliated with microsoft office starter due to click 2 run configuration failure. I was wanting to "uninstall" mso starter due to all the hassles with the program so I did a system restore with a date prior to the "installation." Will this completely remove mso starter from my hard drive?
MS Office 2007 Professional will not install. It does not get past the splash screen 'Setup is preparing the necessary files', but hangs. The summary error message in Event Viewer is as follows:
The device, DeviceCDRom0, has a bad block.
The program installed quite happily on my old Windows XP Pro computer, and the DVD drive is able to read other installation discs, so it doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.
I bought Microsoft Office 2010 Family and Student, but i can't instal it.The installation stop at 3/4 and an error message appear:Error 1935.
