I have ATI Radeon HD4350 512MB graphics card, it has D-Sub, DVI & HDMI sockets on rear.I have downloaded all the latest updates.I have HP 2010i LCD monitor at a resolution of 1600x900 this is connected DVI to DVI.I have a Samsung 40" 1080p LCD tv. I have this connected to my computer HDMI to HDMI.I want the computer to work on both displays... but it wont plat ball.I cannot get a display on the tv; it works on startup but when Windows 7 is loaded the display is no signal, the monitor works ok..If I turn off the monitor by the power button the tv still has no display BUT if I unplug the DVI cable from the monitor the display on the TV comes to life, when I plug it back in the tv goes blank. The GPU and Windows 7 both recognise both display units but only the monitor worksHow do I get both monitor and TV display working??
the display/monitor uses the generic driver for display and it is 1024×768 or 800x600 but it looks very odd it should be bigger because my screen is bigger. I have a acer monitor but is there something I can download to fix the display size?
Windows 7 64 turns off the monitor 1 signal after startup. At login, it powers off monitor 1 and powers on monitor 2. Windows 7 behaves as though dual display is working even though monitor 1 does not display. It's the same for single display, the monitor will not work on cable 1 except at startup. Both 'Extend these displays' in Windows Screen Resolution and 'Extend' in the Nvidia Control Panel is selected. And changing which one is primary does not turn on monitor 1. Nor does switching the position of display 1 in either (ex.left/right/top/bottom).GeForce 8400 GS; Dual Monitor Solution 59 pin (DMS-59) to 2 VGA adapter -tried two of these adapter cables.atest Driver: 306.23 - installed a clean reset install of the latest Nvidia driver released last week.Same Resolution: 2 of the 4 monitors I have tried have the exact same 'recommended' resolution (1280X 1024), both 60Hz, and even chose 16 bit color for both instead of 32 to reduce resources.
Linux worked: Dual display worked immediately when I tried it in Ubuntu 10. So, it's not the hardware. It works in Ubuntu 12 too but not properly -it won't transfer windows across displays. My Windows 7 64 is an upgrade from Vista 64. One person in another forum with the same problem resolved theirs by reinstalling Windows 7. But another got the same problem only after a fresh clean install of Windows 7 64 with the same GeForce 8400 GS and DMS-59 when it had previously worked in Vista. I am very curious to know how to connect a laptop display to another laptop display. I have an old laptop and a new laptop with windows 7. I did some extended displays to other monitors. But any one have any idea about extending to a Laptop display from another Laptop.
my desktop theme will not display correctly. The wallpaper is locked on 1 image instead of a slideshow. When I try to manually advance to the next image, nothing. I did try to save a solid background, which it let me do but when I tried to go back to my wallpaper, it would not let me display. Also, Windows will not let me create or even save my unsaved theme. I have used system restore to get a background image back but I am unable to change or save any settings in regards to desktop themes. My computer IQ is slightly newbish
This is driving me mad, for the last 2 weeks I have not been able to sign in to myebay account, I am running windows 7 recently installed to replace vista hoping this would cure the problem. I updated all my drivers using DriverMax and then verified those uploads against Intel's updated driver support scan. Both agreed with each other on the updates and that all was well. It was some week later when I was working and closed the lid on my HP dv7 (Win 7 Home Premium) opened it again within 10 seconds and ever since the screen simply doesn't come back after closing the lid. I have set all power options to Max Performance, turned off Hibernation and Sleep with no change in outcome. Checked the updated BIOS (updated via OM Intel site) and no applicable (or at least identified) power settings found.
I have an Asus EEE PC 1005HAB Netbook. I has been out of warranty for about a Year and a half now. It shows nothing - nothing - unless connected to an eternal monitor. But the reasons that netbooks are so cool is because they're suppose to be portable , right? This means that if I have to plug it into a big hunka monitor then I might as well use a full desktop because my netbook is no longer portable. It's been going on for about six months. I'm just really good at procrastinating. I've checked display setting, so count that out.
I recently purchased a Dell n5010 and i cant seem to connect it onto my 40" Bravia HD LCD.i'm trying to connect it via HDMI.. but somehow the laptop doesn't seem to display on my Bravia. At first i thought it was the cable issue, but the HDMI cable works perfectly fine on the DVD player.
I have a machine with "win 7 professional" and appears in the login screen all the login accounts that I have in the workstation.I just want to display last user name?
I have windows 7 Professional 64 bit and I was wondering if there was anyway that I could have the "other" user account enabled (where you have to type in your username and password) and have a standard account enabled to click on and just type in the password. I've been searching everywhere online and in the local group and policy editor.
my Acer Aspire 9302AWSMi laptop can't display anything when I press the power button. hard disk light just keep flashing and nothing else happened. i bought this laptop in Geneva back in late 2007 but it's been like this since 2008 or 9.
I have Macular DeGeneration which causes my vision to require a lot of light or a high degree of darkness of the text and a light background to read. Example this text I am using now for this message is ok as long as I have increased the side of this display to about 2.5 times the size of the normal screen which increases the text size a lot. Trying to read email requires the magnifier option provided with Win 7 Pro, In Windows Live Mail I cannot increase the size of the windows as you can do on the Web, In talking about Windows Live Mail if I am looking at new mail which allways comes in bold I can see just infe whitout increasing the size of the font.. High contrast text makes much better reading, windows 7 Pro is much worse than XP.Increased the dots per inch that worked ok except it fouls up Expression Web 4 what I use to keep web sites up to date, It just looks to me like this, example if a person would restrict a light bulb to be lit 100% would be bright, 40% would be very dim, that looks to me like the problem in order to reduce current.
I have main display adapter from mainboard ( Biostar GF8100 M2 TE GeForce 8100 Socket AM2 ) and I buyed new GeForce 8500GT video card. Can I connect to computer 2 monitors using 2 different graphics card (1 main card and card I buyed ) ?
I have a desktop running Windows 7 Ultimate and a laptop running XP Pro. Is there any way to use the laptop as a second monitor? I know how to set it up physically but just don't know if the laptop has to be running the same OS or not.
i am using windows 7 32bit and in my computer properties it said "Installed memory ram: 4.0GB (2.5 gb ram useable)"nd in the resource manageri understand that 32bit OS can only get 3.5GB ram at max but why i only have 2.5GB ram? Does this have anything to do with my VGA 5870 which have 1GB ram?
OS: Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit Graphics card: Radeon HD 5450 This graphics card is connected with a samsung syncmaster 2253bw (Main monitor) and a samsung LED TV ue40b6000vpxxn (HDMI to HDMI). Screen Resolution Syncmaster: 1680x1050 Screen Resolution LED TV: 1920x1080p
Problem Description:
I've connected my graphics card with the hdmi 1 port of the led tv. The tv only shows a crispy image of the first few boot screens whenever i turn my desktop on. The tv shows the error "Mode Not Supported" once it gets to the account login screen. According to the tv manufacturer's manual, the screen resolution and refresh rate of both screens should match in order to get it working.
Actions taken:
I've tried out all possible screen resolution combinations at the control panel of the pc. None of them gets my tv to show what's on my main monitor screen.
Question:
Are there any other steps I can do in order to use my tv as a pc display?
Few days ago, my computer stopped outputting any images to my monitors. At first I thought it might be a video card issue so I replaced my video card, but that hasnt solved the problem at all.
Currently having resolution issues with my 26" Samsung LCD TV (Model #LN26B360C5D) when used with an older Dell Dimension 3100 PC with Windows 7 Ultimate, SP1.After a re-install of Windows 7 done by a colleague, for some reason my TV won't display it's native resolution of 1366x768 which I'm almost 100 percent sure it had before because I didn't notice any distortion or quality loss. I checked the drivers of both the monitor and the adapter and they read as follows:
When I first plugged the VGA cable into the PC, after the re-install, a Samsung driver option appeared and then quickly changed itself to the Generic PnP driver. I have searched all over the web and cannot find the corresponding PC driver from Windows that will work with my TV (if that is even the issue). I also tried booting in Safe Mode and into low-resolution 640x480 and changing the resolution manually hoping that would work but it didn't. There are several Samsung drivers on the PC when I deselect the option "show compatible hardware" in the screen resolution window but I can't figure out which driver works for my tv.
If I connect my TV and run it at 1920x1080 (As it states it is capable of) I get odd placement of the screen, for example if I look at the desktop, icons are pushed over to half the screen, and it does this with a few resolutions. Unfortunately, my TV does not have a scaling feature so I am unable to properly tell it where the edge of the screen is. It seems in some games that run at the resolution, they do not do this. (For example, BF3. It shows everything within the boundaries) but my browser, desktop, and some other games fail to do so.
I think it's clear from subject but newly I faced to a problemwhen my computer after some time turn the monitor off then when I want turn it on again its hang!and nothing appear..and I should reset it or shutdown it from the case!
I am running Windows Home Premium on a HP a1624n computer. I was trying to find a file the other day and what I did was sort a folder contents in My Documents by date modified to find the file. Great! I found the file I was looking for. The problem is, now the My Documents folder is not displayed correctly and I can't figure out how to fix it to display correctly. For example folder names in My Documents are:Word Docs, System Stuff, ## Outlook, My Scans, Temporary Copy Spot, Nexus One Related etc. These are displayed in that order. By my question, I want the folders displayed in order by name meaning the list above should be Left to Right:## Outlook Files, My Scans, Nexus One Related, Temporary Copy Spot, Word Docs etc. If I select : Arrange by Name, I see a list of all files inside of all the folders. If I select Arrange by Folders, I see the list folders in the incorrect order I have listed above. If I select any other option, I am presented with file lists of all files in all the folders in My Documents. How do I get this fixed to display correctly? I haven't tried a system restore as these files are personal files and System Restore doesn't touch them. I've got a user that has a laptop with two external HP monitors. One monitor is connected via VGA connection to the laptop - the other is using an HP Display Link adapter over VGA and/or DVI. The screen that is connected to the Display Link adapter keeps stalling. He will move Internet Explorer over to that screen, try to maximize the window, and it freezes, but if he moves another window, like Windows Explorer over to that screen on top of it then Internet Explorer will start to respond.
Things I've tried: updating drivers on the integrated graphics, updating drivers on display link adapter, replacing display link adapter, changing usb ports, changing refresh rates on the monitors, and alternating between DVI and VGA connection on the Display Link adapter. Oh, and also disabling Windows Aero.
I'm not sure what's wrong with my computer, and that's a first for me. In Windows 7 whenever I try to visit a webpage through a browser the page will not load. The three browsers I have installed are IE, Chrome, and Firefox. None of them are able to show webpages, but Chrome does give me an error 137. I've already scanned Windows 7 for any viruses, malware, etc., and I've found nothing.
Now the tricky thing is that I'm able to ping websites without any issue, and system updates work fine as well. In Jolicloud and Kubuntu I'm able to surf the web without a problem. I've already scanned Windows 7 for any viruses, malware, etc., and I've found nothing.
I believe the root of the problem is that I incorrectly uninstalled the program Net Nanny, causing it to block all Internet browsing.
Basically I have an acer aspire z5761 all in one pc and I installed the hdmi pci card. After it was installed I plugged in my hdmi cable from my xbox to my pc, my only problem is, how do I display the xbox on my screen? When I turn on my computer it runs normally as if it would, is there a button or something for me to switch mode?
I'm having displays issue where either black horizontal lines appear (while in Free-cell viewing photos) when maximized or text and icons are missing from windows such as device manager. In the case of the latter, when moused-over, the graphic or text (which was previously invisible) appears. The video card is an ATI Radeon HD5770 1024 mb GDDR5 PCI-E and both the monitor and computer are about a year old. These problems just started happening out of the blue.Since, I have updated the video card driver numerous times but to no avail.
Periodically my screen will freeze and I will get a message that says display driver stopped working and recovered. However, sometimes my computer will resume being normal...and other times my screen will be totally disconfigured, jumbled...and messed up and I have to force shut down. Also periodically when I do restart my computer, there would be bluish streaks and $ signs all jumbled across the black screen before it says windows is starting up. When I am in safe mode, none of these problems occur. My operating system is windows 7. Because sometimes my display driver recovers when I tilt my computer a certain way when it seems to "crash" and the fact that this problem doesn't even occur in safe mode.
