Cannot Create A Dump File To Post
Dec 15, 2011
I cannot due to the fact I cannot access anything except the f8, f10/alt, f2 and f12 screens which no matter which selection I attempt I end up back to this dreadful blue screen and errror message. I am posting from a nearby desktop computer with hopes you will be able to guide me in using either my Windows operating system reinstallation disc, or a boot/repair disc I have with restore tools included.I have changed the boot order a few different ways, with no luck. I have tried windows debugging and every other option in the f8 menu, with no luck. I have tried the f12 selections, with no luck.As I've learned, the PC is a Gateway NV59C with 4GB DDR3Mem, 320 GB HHD, Intel HD graphics, Intel Core i3-330MHD with Windows 7 and 64bit.

The last BSOD seen was at around 10:00 this morning (may have been earlier as the machine was found with a blue screen...), the problem I have at the moment is that the PC is not creating dump files - I have checked the settings (screen shot included) but it still won't create them.I have uploaded the output of the utilities as per the 'BSOD Assistance' posting?

I am trying to reinstall XP (I dont think OS matters) on my computer, but I dont have my disk with me. no one else seems to have it either. fortunately, I had copied my disk onto my hard drive a long time ago, and have an empty flash drive, so I copied the files onto the flash drive and tried to get it to run for me. My computer said boot error. How do I get it running? I really need to wipe my computer.

I've heard the term memory dump file or dump file being used? I was wondering what it means?I've gathered that it may be something to do with error messages or errors.

Just build a new computer running windows 7 64-bit- it's fast and works great. I bought an external hard drive to back it up and every time I run a back up I get a BSOD. I have a dump file but don't know how to read it so I am posting it here.Actually it seems that I can not upload the dump file here.

I've tried to have a dump file generated on crash but it's not getting written. I followed the following page to set up how Windows would create my dump files:
Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD
I had a few crashes of different types - photos attached. I also attached the zip file as per instructions from here: [URL]

I have never had a month without a BSOD. Every time I analyze the dump file, the probably cause is different. All I want is a stable Windows machine that I don't have to worry about when I go to bed. Is that too much to ask? nyway, system info:Windows 7 64 bitRAM: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)HDD: all over the place but 2x RAID0 arraysCPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65WMoBo: GIGABYTE GA-EP45C-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45PSU: 700WI built this box In September of 2009 (2 yrs ago)

App takes a long time to load and generally runs slow when in use. As far as I know it was designed for Vista 64 bit. BTW the cmd "cscript adplus.vbs -crash -nodumponfirst -minionsecond -quiet -pn dpeg.exe" needed to be changed to "cscript adplus_old.vbs -crash -nodumponfirst -minionsecond -quiet -pn dpeg.exe".

Assume I work currently with MS Word and/or an text editor like wordpad. Then (suddenly) the system crashes with bluescreen.A Minidump is automatically created and saved in a Minidump file. After restart I am asked whether I want to send this minidump for further investigation to MS.Hmm, I wonder whether this Minidump file contains the full memory content. And if the memory content contains the current MS Word resp. current open file if editor. Both could contain sensitive business information which I don't want to pass outside. Is this the case

I have an issue with my computer - every time it puts its self to sleep (although i disabled sleep mode) my computer refuses to boot. It fails to recognise my boot hdd, untill i take out every other HDD, and then plug them in once its booted. On startup i get an error message 'CPU over temperature. Press f1 to continue...', but this generally does not affect anything. I have literally just reapplied thermal compound to my heatsink and CPU, but still get same error. When playing power intensive games, the system runs fine.BSOD error message: driver_irql_not_less_or_equal, researched and found nothing of use, dump file size of 0kb so i can't even debug it.Ram is being read at 800mhz instead of 1066mhz despite changing latencies to 5-5-5-15 and voltage to 2.2v as suggested by kingston.I have scanned for viruses using Avira Free AVG.
Specs:
Asus P5q Pro Turbo - ATX - LGA775
4 x 2gb DDR2 Kingston Hyper-x 1066mhz
Gainward GeForce GTS 250 @1024mb
600w PSU
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4mhz.
I have tried updating drivers, but they are all up to date.

I read somewhere recently that win 7 can create an iso file, just by sticking a cd and right click on the desktop and choose Burn. It suppose to have its own iso burner built in. I did just as that message said and nothing popped up. Now, it could be that it may be only on one of the win 7 versions, mine is the home premium one.

When I used VirtualBox and had system failures and/or viruses, I tried to save it with an antivirus. Sometimes it did not help so I had to delete it and create a new one.Well, I wan't to try the VHD booting on windows 7, but before I start I want to know what happens when my VHD file gets infected by malicious code. Can I just delete the VHD file and create a new one? as I would do with VBox?

I regularly need to turn off windows 7 GUI settings such as aero, certain services, unload certain apps in memory, all in win 7 ultimate. These settings will always be the same. I would like to know if it is possible to create some sort of file*batch file?) which would turn these settings off, and also a separate file which would turn them back on again when i wanted them all back.
I am familiar with working with simple .bat files, and converting them into .exe's and attaching them to shortcut icons. So my only question is where do i find examples of how to write lines of code to manipulate the windows interface.

Purchased a website and email domain. I have a fresh install of MS office 2010 and when trying to incorporate my pop3 mail everything works fine, even the test emails, but I can not save profile because i get an error, "This information service is not installed on your computer", so it wont let me create a new data file. when I search for an existing .pst none are found on hard drive. so I'm kinda stuck. I tried the same basic thing via control panel > mail > data file tab > add data file, but i get the same error. "This information service is not installed on your computer." I took a look at my add/remove windows features pane to see if maybe on windows install I missed some email protocols or something but I could not find any. did the same for the office 2010 install, checked to see if I did not install a key feature. still nothing.Tried using IMAP as well since this does not require .pst access but still same error. "This information service is not installed on your computer."

I'm trying to create a virtual "Windows 7 ENT SP1 x64" in a vhd file. I need it to be bootable. Also, I need to figure out how to implement it so that when a user reboot and/or logoff from this computer, that it restore the vhd OS to its original state (read-only). Is that even possible?
Note: I'm already able to create a normal vhd from scratch or from an existing Windows 7 system. What I can't figure out is how to make it a read-only vhd file.

I bought a laptop with an OEM serial key and I got windows home basic with it. My internet has limitations and I cannot afford to download a 3 GB .iso or image file of windows 7 home basic. Incase my system gets corrupt or anything happens I would like to have a backup of my whole OS, so is their any way to extract the whole OS from my computer to just one ".iso" file? which later I can convert into a bootable USB flash drive of disc. Plus if possible can I make the iso file which contains my OS and also all the drivers pre installed?
