View 4 RepliesI used AMD Athlon II X2 260 and 2GB 1333Mhz RAM. I plan to overclocking it via FSB on BIOS and change my RAM timing so I can use 1600Mhz RAM, but I dunno where and how.
The only thing I know is increase bus speed and change the timings to 8,8,8,24.
So after a clean install of windows 7 ultimate. i installed all updates and hotfixes as well.I installed a screensaver that is 32bit the system can run 64bit as well.I set the screen saver under "screensavers" to run after 1 min. it never executes.I have it set in power settings to turn off display after 20mins never does.I can however put it in sleep and hibernation mode manually no problem but scheduled times dont work. what to do. Biostar said to download latest chipset driver already did, did not work.I have the latest nvidia card drivers installed as well.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWindows Explorer (not Internet explorer) just sits there for ages (several minutes) before actually displaying the contents of my computer. The structure on the left is all there but the right side where all the files should be is just blank with a swirly "processing" cursor. Strangly, if I go into an application and do file>open I can browse instantly around the computer in that browse window (while explorer is still sitting there like an idiot doing nothing)... In multiple browsers (IE/chrome) I'm getting a problem where some websites are working (confirming there internet connection is ok) and some are timing out. There seems to be no pattern as to which work and which don't and I've just noticed something that makes me think it's related to the first problem - I try to open website A but it keeps timing out. I try a couple of other websites, they work fine. I find another website (b) that doesn't work. Several minutes have passed since I tried website A so I try it again - it works! website b still doesn't work. I wait a few minutes and try again - it works! So in both cases it seems to be searching for something and not finding it, then it eventually finds it (or times out) and then it all works...

System is Windows 7 home 64 bit with amd athlon II 255 Processor 3.10 GHz and 4gb of ram. Avast anti-virus. I have windows firewall on, but haven't really made any other changes. My cursor flashes the busy symbol about once every 4-5 seconds, and it does so whenever the mouse is on the desktop or anywhere it shows the regular icon. When inside this text window it changes to the text cursor and ceases to flash, however. I changed the icon only to have the new one act the same.
View 28 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a new HP computer with Windows 7 and I'm using IE9. The cursor busy circle is constantly running and nothing I do makes it go away. There are no programs trying to open and nothing being downloaded , it happens just by moving the mouse. I already ran a full scan and there are no viruses. I went to the Microsoft website forum but they don't really seem to know what is causing this problem. I read that it might be Constant Guard which is offered by Comcast with Norton so I uninstalled it but that didn't help , I also read it might be the printer software but I haven't tried that yet

View 1 Replies View RelatedFrom time to time when I click to perform an action I receive a notice in a window named "Server Busy". When I click on "Switch to" it goes to the start window, so I do not know which program to activate and correct the problem what ever it is. This is the message:This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose "switch to" to activate the busy program and correct the problem. There are 3 buttons "Switch To" "Retry" "Cancel"When I check the properties of the message it seems to be connected to IE. I am having a problem with IE9 that I have posted on this forum. The answers I continue to get from the forum are for problems listed in the forum at least 2 years ago.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have noticed lately that, occasionally, while I am reading an article on any number of various websites, my cursor will begin to rapidly oscillate between the typical arrow and the blue ring busy cursor for maybe a second at most in duration. I haven't noticed the webpages hanging in any way or refreshing; that is to say there are none of the blue rotating circles in any of the open webpage process tabs that would indicate any new webpage activity specific to that webpage loading into the page's process. I tend to notice this happening when I am reading a page with no additional interaction--I am typically not even touching the mouse when I see it occur.Basically, I am wondering what different things might be causing the momentary activity. I am using Google Chrome for my browser and have nineteen extensions installed, so, I was thinking possibly I am seeing an extension occasionally updating or possibly checking for updates. That is just an uneducated speculation out of the blue. It also may be that this has always happened since loading Chrome, that for some arbitrary reason I just began to focus on it, and, having now fixated upon it, it stands out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe issue might be on the server end. I don't know. The situation is this I have internet access and many web sites are consistently difficult to access. A good example would be Newegg.com and their pages as well as the links to their site that I click in the email they send me. The blue busy circle stay in an endless loop. I can access there site sometimes if I persistently tap F5 (refresh). While this issue is a problem with many web sites that I try to access some pull up instantly. Is there something I can do to fix this or could it be the ISP or a server issue.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI built my own computer last January and installed Windows Vista first and everything worked fine but then I upgraded to Windows 7.In the beginning it worked great, I did get the common problem of every kind of browser crashed every couple of hours and sometimes refused to load up again but i persist and put up with it.Then over the past 3-4 months, I have been getting regular BSOD - They used to be very similar screens and i am not fast enough to jott down the error codes sadly.I maybe receive 2-3 BSoD everyday and the most common issue i am experiencing is when i play World of Warcraft - since these BSoD began, this has been crashing a hell of a lot as well. I cant get an hours play on it without it crashing with the same issue.I put it to the forums with this error log Wow Crash 2/1/13 - Pastebin.com and was told to carry out some actions to see if this could resolve the matter which it did for a very short period of time (ie a day) and then came back with its constant WoWcrashes and BSoD
The BSoD happen when im on and off the game - a lot of the time its when a lot of processes are running, ie several tabs open in my browsers, spotify playing and maybe a couple of folders open - its as if it cant handle it running.I have tried to search for my dumplogs, i was told it was in %systemroot%minidump but its empty and there are no .dmp files on my computer except warcraft ones.
Outlook 2010 shared calendar showing up as busy with no details. Just started to happen and I've checked the permission on the calendar and the other user who's having the issue is set as publish editor. There are several other people that have been given access to the calendar and they are not having this issue.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe computer will stop responding, the cursor shows the busy blue ring (spinning, not frozen), and I can still move the blue ring around, but unable to click on anything. CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't work, nothing works. Tried leaving it overnight but it didn't solve the problem. I had to force shut down by holding the Power button. This problem happens at random times, while using random applications, online or not, sometimes within a few minutes after turning on the computer, sometimes hours, but it happens almost every time. I have also tried turning on the computer and left it without using anything, and the same problem will happen.

Hibernate file is enabled, PC appears to go to sleep and then hibernate correctly at timeouts, but shuts down instead.
When restarted it does not Resume Windows but starts up to the "Windows didn't shut down correctly" screen which offers "Start Windows Normallly" or one of the Safe Modes. Same thing happens when Hibernate is triggered from Start Menu, or by Shutting the Lid.
Occasionally, in the past when the the PC would sleep it would not wake up when I pressed the keyboard and had to be restarted instead. Over the last week the problem has occured more frequently. Today it happened every time the PC went to sleep and was not woken up within a few minutes. I have never made any adjustments to my power setting in Windows or the BIOS. I am using a balanced power scheme.[CODE]
