View 3 RepliesI have onboard Sound Windows 7 finds the drivers i installed and they work fine But everytime i turn the PC on or Reboot Win 7 serches for the drivers and then reinstalls them its driving me mad...i have uninstalled them but as soon as i reboot win 7 finds them and they work fine till i Reboot again.
Is there any easy fix for this?
My sound is working but "line in" and stuff wont show up in sound. So I have sound but no mic. The driver says its a Microsoft driver. The sigmatel audio drivers I tried using were all distorted when I installed them as in the sound would work and everything would show up in Sound but was messed up. Its obviously the wrong driver so I uninstalled it and put the "Microsoft" one back.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI Built my computer recently on christmas day. I got all the drivers and my motherboard came with sound drivers however I got the Realtek Drivers for my board since they were not on the disc (Or for some reason did not get installed) But anyways the drivers are all working fine i've had no problems with my computer at all yet however whenever i try to record or transmit on ventrilo (VOIP) with Stereo Mix there is no sound. When i record on audacity with stereo mix nothing is recorded. There is just no sound.
The option is for stereo mix DOES exist and i know for sure that my motherboard has stereo mix. My friend also built a computer around the same time (Christmas break) with most of the same parts. He has my exact motherboard and his is working perfectly fine. The mobo im using is an EVGA X58. To anyone who can help I thank you and i will respond if you need to know any specs.
i need to update my sound card drivers.... i am on windows 7 and went to the biostar website to update my on board audio drivers and there was nothing available for windows 7.... only vista,xp, etc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an Echo MiaMIDI sound card for recordings, when i first installed it i had to disable my motherboards onboard sound through my bios before windows would use it. This has been fine for 2+ years.
Windows 7 (64 bit home premium) has suddenly started installing the "HD Audio Device Drivers". I dont understand this since I have all windows updates turned off. But when it installs these audio drivers it disables my Echo MiaMIDI card.
So i go to device manager and it shows the Echo card but says there is not enough resources to use it due to other drivers being used, and it lists the HD Audio Device being in use. So i uninstall it but moments after this Windows starts installing it again. It still says disabled in my bios. its driving me crazy because i cant use my sound card!
In vista i used to go into safe mode , add remove nvidia drivers and reboot into normal mode it would install the standard vga drivers. However with windows 7 when you reboot into normal mode it installs these wddm(?) drivers and reboots.
Have the old nvidia drivers been uninstalled? and can i just install any previous beta's or new betas over the top?
EDIT : Just installed over the top of the default windows 7 nvidia drivers on uninstalled reboot, seems to work fine so i'll see how it goes!.
I recently had to install a new motherboard, and I can't seem to find the correct ethernet controller drivers.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 32 bit and I just noticed that all my drivers for the USB controllers, Audio/Sound devices and the Networking internet (Broadcom Netxtreme Drivers) have all died. They indicate that a Code 39 is the problem. I tried to load some of the drivers but it wouldn't allow them to install. I did a last known configuration attempt, no results. Did a system restore and it gave me an error message saying it didn't restore properly. I am trying to get the drivers online, burn them to a disk and load them. I have no internet access on that PC and the USB ports obviously don't work. I can get drivers on this PC online. Some I can't find. I did the uninstall driver, disable, all the usual for this problem. I am stumped. Any recovery attempts produce nil results. Thanks to Microsoft, I have no installation disc to do a new install or a backup image.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy motherboard has on board audio which I disabled in my bios in order to use my recording sound card. This worked flawlessly for over 2 years. Then sometime last year Windows installed my "Missing HD Audio Driver" which disabled all sound until i enabled the on board sound in the bios again, this of course meant i couldnt use my recording card.ll Windows and driver updates have been turned off, it still installs. After many attempts at fixes i found online I gave up until more recently when i reformatted the computer and got it working. Then yesterday it started again
View 1 Replies View RelatedWindows 7 Home Premium X64 keeps re-installing the same existing USB drivers every time I plug in an USB device. This means every time I plug in my Wireless mouse, my printer, scanner, external hard drive... and so on I have to wait minutes before I can start using the device. Also, it does not just re-install the drivers from the hard disk, it does a lengthy check via windows update before it installs anything.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell ATG laptop 6420 and I'm running a program called V1 golf swing analysis for my teaching business.Im having intermittent issues using the voiceover recording feature. After I record the voice over sometimes it doesn't save it. I've used this program for many years with no issues on older laptops. After I purchased this new laptop and It became infected w/ virus.Reinstalled Windows and downloaded drivers from website. Since I've never had issues with Dell laptops and the recording for voice over program on my V1 I'm thinking I didn't reinstall all of the correct drivers from the Dell website. Once I have the ATG drivers pulled up in the Dell website, How do I know which drivers I should be downloading from the Dell website ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently picked up a pre-built machine that came with Windows 7 (OEM) pre-installed and an Nvidia 8400GS. I replaced the 8400GS with a GTS 250 and figured I'd uninstall the drivers that Windows 7 pulled in through Windows Update, and download the latest Nvidia drivers.
I uninstalled the stock drivers in the Device Manager, checked the "delete drivers" box and restarted the machine. Windows 7 dedected the card and immediately started to auto-install drivers. I could skip the downloading of new drivers, but it still installed older Nvidia drivers (dated April or May 2009). Can this be prevented? If so, how?
Windows Update then offered to download newer drivers (September 2009), which I allowed manually (this part is fine). What I'm looking for is a clean way to uninstall the drivers installed by Windows 7 and then manually install the driver package I downloaded from Nvidia.com.
On a side note (should probably make a separate post for this), is it normal that after the Windows 7 desktop is displayed (including shortcut icons), after two seconds the icons reset (become white default icons) and somewhat slowly reload? After a reboot, that is. I don't remember this happening with the 8400GS before I fiddled with the drivers.
I had serious problem with Windows 8 Release Preview and had to fully reinstall Windows 7 (Home Premium x64) on my HP Pavillon g6. The problem is that a lot of drivers are missing, especially network related drivers. I can't connect to any network.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently build a new system with win7 64bit. Everything went well untill I exchanged a blue ray drive with a dvdwriter (1 day later). Win7 recognized the drive in device manager but did not assign a drive letter nor would the drive open (function). After trying everything I can think of I decided to reinstall the sata drivers from the asus websitebecause I wasn't able to use the motherboard disk with the DVD drive for installation) the system restarted and never booted back up. The bios recognize the ssd as 1st boot but win7 does not boot back up. As a matter of fact the hd LED doesnt flash anymore like it did when the system was working. I also could not use 5 USB ports (i was going to reinstall the drivers after the sata drivers) from the beginning of win7 install and Bluetooth comport not available. Did I screw up the bios? (bios flash with USB?)

I just went from XP to a new Dell Windows 7. I have a multi-function printer that used CD drivers on XP, but with Windows 7, I had to install the printer with Windows Update and a scan utility from the manufacturer's web site. All of a sudden after a month, I can't scan, so I want to uninstall/reinstall the printer. How do I do this when it was installed with Windows Update? I see a list of drivers in the DriverStore/FileRepository folder. Do I delete those so Windows Update can reinstall them, or were they already there when I bought the computer?

Oh and after i reinstall windows, when i reboot windows it loads and instead of welcome screen it shows me black screen and cursor, i can move cursor.
After I had to reinstall my Windows 7 OS and the Samsung drivers onto a new internal hard drive, my screen images appear to be somewhat stretched sideways from normal. I right-clicked the desktop screen and was given only two screen resolutions to pick from, thinking perhaps was the problem, but neither option changed my problem.

as stated in the subject, I am unable to hear any sound from my speakers since upgrading to the windows 7 64 bit. HDAUDIOFUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_1028020EI have installed the realtek drivers and they as working but I still get nothing but a slight hiss from my speakers. I have tried them on my laptop and they work fine.Does anybody know what might be causing this? I am half tempted to get a new sound card but I am reluctant as it says my existing one is working (it just seems to have forgotten to tell the speakers!)
If anybody knows a fix for this I really would be eternally grateful
