I have a Linksys Wireles-G USB Network Adapter (Model #: WUSB54GC) that wont fully connect to my home Wi-Fi network. "Limited Access" is as far as I can get. The Windows Troubleshooter just says there might be a problem with the driver, even though I downloaded the latest version driver and installed correctly.
My new Samsung laptop has just stopped allowing me access to the internet. Its not a problem with the router as I have a wired connection to a desktop that is fine. My laptop has been working ok but now I just get 'Limited Access' from the status bar. All the other checks have been made with ISP the Intel(R) Centrino(R) wireless N130 is supposed to be working according to the network properties dialogue box. Also have wired the ethernet from desktop to laptop and still the same response so narrowing it down to the possible driver software.
A few days ago I booted up my HP Pavilion dv4-2049wm laptop. Windows update needed to reboot, due to my postponing it for a few days, so I let it reboot and I started getting blue screens. After a few restarts (getting the BSOD every time), I booted into the last known good configuration. It booted up fine, but now I can no longer connect to my network (wired and wireless). It sees my wireless connection, but states "Limited Access."
Things I have tried: - Uninstalled/Updated network drivers from HP's site, specific to my laptop model. - Uninstalled all windows updates that were installed before BSOD - Flushed, registered, renewed dns via command prompt - Reset Winsock via command prompt - Tried a "clean" boot - Ran Windows Check Disk - Ran Windows Memory Tester (Unsure of exact name)
On the day of the crash I attempted to do a restore, but the earliest restore I could do was at the time of the windows update (same time as BSOD). One thing I did notice is that the "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo_Interface" listed under network adapters is no longer there. Not sure what that might have to do with anything. I cannot access my internet and don't know why. When i try to access the internet it says I have 'limited access' although I have a full internet connection. Does anyone know how to fix this please? I have a Windows 7 operating system
I have this problem with my new Asus laptop which was fine yesterday, but cannot connect to any wireless network now. When I click the Network connections button on my task bar it shows me my internet connection with the words Limited Access next to it. My laptop has been playing up for the past two weeks, it keeps displaying 'limited access' despite my adapter claiming to be connected.I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro c650 and the adapter is the Atheros AR9285.I have system restored multiple times after which the internet works fine, its when I turn my laptop back on the problem seems to reoccur.Wireless Network Connection status says that my laptop is not connected to IPv4 or IPv6. I have no idea what any of this means and have been going out of my mind trying to decipher computer language.
I installed a new wireless adapter yesterday in the hope of increasing my internet speed. After installing the driver for the adapter I realised that my internet was no longer working. I can still see the connection but it is limited and doesnt allow me to connect to the internet. I also had a system up date the night before and hadn't been on the internet since that happened so am unsure if this has any part in it.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for both the adapters i have to no avail, as well as plugging my pc into a laptop and using internet connection sharing which also doesnt work.If i run a network repair i end up with two problems found:

Last night I was on the internet at home absolutely fine and my laptop automatically downloaded an update, since then I have been unable to connect to my wi-fi. I deleted the updates and was still unable to connect, so I tried to used a system recovery restore point and every one I use starts but fails to complete.So, I did a factory reset after around 8 hours of trying to sort it out today and I STILL have the same problem. I can plug in the cable to connect and my housemate is having absolutely no issues connecting and neither is my phone so now I am at a total loss what I should do to resolve this. Prior to the factory reset I was able to connect to the wi-fi but it was stating no network access/limited access and now it simply won't connect to my internet at all. It finds my full strength signal but will not connect.My drivers for the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n card are the most up to date and the laptop (HP G62) says it is working fine.
A few hours ago I installed a Windows update, so my ACER Aspire 5733 restarted. I shut it down after the restart, not paying attention to the wireless. When I went to turn it back on, I couldn't get online because my home wireless connection has "Limited access."The icon signifying signal strength on the taskbar has a small yellow star-shaped dot on it. I recently changed my router and it worked okay not bad. But the internet connection cut off too much like once in 20 minutes and I feel like my internet is too slow. When the internet is cut off, it says limited access with yellow sign on the wireless bar.

After installing the 'Panda 2011' antivirus, it's impossible to connect to any wireless connection. It always says 'limited access', even though the signal is at full strength.
The antivirus had been fully removed, but the problem persisted, so I even removed any trace left of it in the registry. I even installed the latest NIC driver just to be sure, but it still isn't working.

I have 2 dell laptops running off the same router and have been working fine for the last 6 months. One of the laptops has all of a sudden switched to saying limited access on the proset icon. After reading threads etc. I have re booted the laptop & router, tried connected by wire with no avail. The machine is running very slow and I am wondering if this isn't the only fault. I have found a wireless connection near me and connected to it. I saw that my speed is kind of good (about 14 Mb/s), I tried to get this speed higher.I went into the router setup from my browser, and changed some settings from thereOnce changed, I reboot the router to see if it changed my speed.The one setting that blocked my access to internet is MCS. I don't remember if that was off/disabled, but i changed it to MCS7, the last option available for MCS... thing.
My laptop suddenly stopped being able to connect to the network in my house and for that obviously it doesn't have any internet. It doesn't work either by connecting a cable or trying to use the wireless, here are the detaills for each case: When I connect the cable, the laptop detects it, but doesn't detect any network, it doesn't seem to even be trying. I checked on the network adapters, and it clearly says "enabled" when connected and when disconnected it changes to "No network cable plugged in". When I try to connect to my network, it always ends up saying "Limited access", when I tried troubleshooting, it said that there may be an error with the network drivers, I tried the fix there, and then it says that there must be an error with the network adapters.
Here's what I have tried so far: -Reinstalling the devices and drivers, when I check them in device manager, it says that both the wireless and network driver are working properly. -I tried resetting the router. -Tried resetting the bios of the computer to it's factory ones. - Tried resetting IPv4 and IPV6, along with the IP/TCP using the command prompt, still no go.

I have a Cisco Linksys AE2500 wireless adapter and a Cisco Linksys e2500 wireless router.For the most part I seem to be able to connect to the internet with no problem. But whenever I stream video to my PS3, my phone, Kindle or when I start using a lot of bandwidth my internet drops and I get the "limited access" message with the yellow <!> symbol. It still shows full bars and excellent connection. If it matters though I can connect fine to the internet from my Laptop and my other devices.
I have been using my home internet in my new place for a couple of weeks fine, yesterday morning when I tried it it had the limited access yellow triangle and wouldn�t connect.I reset the router and connected to the wifi on my iphone which worked fine, I checked the DNS numbers were the same as on my iphone which they were and I had not changed any settings. I spent the entire day yesterday online looking for solutions, I�ve reset the adapter, disabled it etc, set the ip and dns to automatic and back again etc etc. When my wifi tries to connect to my home internet it takes a LONG time to identify and then identifies it either as an unidentified network and/or public. Even when I change it to home it changes it back to public or just doesn�t let me change it to home and says try again later.
Ps- I just tried disabling then re-enabling the protocol 6 on the wifi which isn�t working and it just said �in order to configure TCP/IP, you must install and enable a network adapter card. But then it just let me configure it and is still connected but with limited access and public network.
I am setting up a new Acer laptop and cannot access the internet via my home wifi network. I have 2 other laptops connected to the network and running fine. The new pc is running 64 bit Windows 7 (the others run XP) and has an Atheros AR5B93 Wireless Network Adapter. When I pan over the wireless icon in my taskbar, it says "Limited access" beside my home wifi signal.
im running windows 7 on my toshiba sattelite L15 S104 and and i cant find a driver for my T60N871 802.11 b/g WLAN wirless adapter. its made by intel but it says foxconn with it also. ive tried toshiba.com and intel.com and still cant find it. does anyone know where i can because i really dont want to go buy a new wirless net work adapter.
I have a AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter installed in my Asus Eee PC. Whenever I wake up the computer from hibernate or sleep, the wireless adapter takes a full minute or more before it will actually connect to a network. Once it is awake and connected, I have no issues, and I have no problems connecting to different networks. So it is working as intended most of the time. When starting up the computer from "off," it is usually fine as well, since the amount of time it takes to fully start up the computer is usually about enough time for the adapter to get going (though not always).I cannot ever "quickly" look something up on the computer, as I have to wait a few minutes in order to be connected to the internet. Has anyone had or heard of this problem? I checked and the driver is up to date.
A few months later i wanted to upgrade my 32 bit to 64, since i could only use 3,16 GB ram, and my computer has 8GB. So i bought a win 7 home premium 64 bit and installed it. Now i face the same problem, my computer can not detect any wireless network adapter, though i'm 99% sure that my computer has one.
since build 7068 I've been facing this problem with this network adapter, will try to explain as good as I can.
Problem as following: Everytime I start the pc after one or two minutes I lost my internet connection and when I try to restart the pc it hangs when shutting pc is showed, forcing me to shut it down only whit the power button.
I have tried to install the vista x64 driver that I have for this network adapter but cannot installed since is onlyfor vista x64, neither in compatibilty mode. After a few research managed to installed it via safe mode. and by now is working good but device manager shows a warning icon and a Cannot start device code 10.
any knows is theres a win 7 update driver?? can I just keep ignoring the code 10 till this bug is fixed??
I just finished building a new PC and installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit today.I have an ASUS Wireless PCI Express Adapter (PCE-N13 802.11 b/g/n). DSL, with a Linksys rounter. Theres just a red X mark on the taskbar and it won't show any open connections =/. I have several wireless devices that work even outside the range which is about maybe 5 meters away from the router. Its pretty much impossible for me to run a wired connection to my PC and need to have a wireless one since theres many tables/couches/chairs inbetween the router and my new PC.
USB wireless adapter is dlink DWA-130C, driver installed properly and windows 7 32bit detected it correctly as DWA-130C on device manager but it could not find any network in my area.
When I do troubleshoot, windows tell me that driver may not installed properly.
FYI it happened with my older G USB adapter too, when I uninstall the driver to update, it installed normally but then it does not detect any network. I have to do system restore to make it work again.
I cant see available network on my network list. Troubleshooting says "There might be problem with your driver". In device manager, it say"Your driver is working properly"..
im about to pull my hair out i have win7 x 64 and i can't find the driver that will work for a wusb54g ver.4 if i could get a link that would be awsome and not cisco because theirs does not work
