Aug 28, 2011After installing the 'Panda 2011' antivirus, it's impossible to connect to any wireless connection. It always says 'limited access', even though the signal is at full strength.
The antivirus had been fully removed, but the problem persisted, so I even removed any trace left of it in the registry. I even installed the latest NIC driver just to be sure, but it still isn't working.
There are a lot of topics on here with the same 'limited access' problem, but none of them helped.

I saw that my speed is kind of good (about 14 Mb/s), I tried to get this speed higher.I went into the router setup from my browser, and changed some settings from thereOnce changed, I reboot the router to see if it changed my speed.The one setting that blocked my access to internet is MCS. I don't remember if that was off/disabled, but i changed it to MCS7, the last option available for MCS... thing.

Aug 29, 2011I'm in need of some serious help here. Working with a Dell Inspiron 1750 laptop that's running windows 7. The machine can not get full access to the Internet. It seems as if there is a software conflict, but I can't find what it is. It did display the BSOD a couple of times, but the screen was gone before I could see what the codes were. The system restore only has 2 days of restore points, neither did anything to help.Running the diagnostics produced the following codes. 0f00:0232, 968634624, 0x490, 0x8007042c, 2000-0151.All repair options suggest patches that require an Internet connection. Well...if the computer had an Internet connection I wouldn't be in such a state. Reminds me of the car repair manual that says to start the engine to preform a test when the problem is the engine won't start.Anyway, I'm at a loss. This isn't even my machine, it belongs to the sister in-law, which means I have no idea of what she may have done, if anything, to cause the problem.There's a lot of Apple software for the ipod, or itouch, whatever it is she uses.I can't access the recent update history, so I'm not sure if updates are a factor.It sure seems like a software issue, but what do I know? If I knew what I was doing...I surely wouldn't be here seeking help.One other thing, when the machine is first booting, a window of some sort appears just after the desktop appears. It only flashes for a split second before disappearing. Not long enough to tell what it is.Well that's all I have, I sure hope that someone has an idea. The computer isn't even 2 years old, so it'd a shame to have to throw it away. As far as programs goes, it has very little, and the 500GB HD isn't even 25% filled.

Jan 3, 2012I have a Linksys WRT120N wireless router connected to a modem, and a desktop connected to the router (not wireless) and i have my laptop who sometimes have this "limited access" problem.It is pretty annoying, happens once a day and i just unplug and replug the wireless router for it to fonction again but i want to fix this problem definitively im not sure what is causing this problem,however when i ran the windows diagnostic thingy,i get 2 problems :"wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid ip configuration and the default gateway is not available.

Jan 19, 2012I installed a new wireless adapter yesterday in the hope of increasing my internet speed. After installing the driver for the adapter I realised that my internet was no longer working. I can still see the connection but it is limited and doesnt allow me to connect to the internet. I also had a system up date the night before and hadn't been on the internet since that happened so am unsure if this has any part in it.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for both the adapters i have to no avail, as well as plugging my pc into a laptop and using internet connection sharing which also doesnt work.If i run a network repair i end up with two problems found:
1)There might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter
2)There might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter They both have yellow signs with exclamation marks next to them.If i type ipconfig/all into the cmd line I get:

May 12, 2012A few hours ago I installed a Windows update, so my ACER Aspire 5733 restarted. I shut it down after the restart, not paying attention to the wireless. When I went to turn it back on, I couldn't get online because my home wireless connection has "Limited access."The icon signifying signal strength on the taskbar has a small yellow star-shaped dot on it. When I click on it, it pops up and says "Not connected. Connections are available. It then says my wireless network name and says "Limited access" next to it. The signal strength is excellent.When I disconnect and then reconnect it says the connection was unsuccessful because the computer has limited connectivity.The same network is working on my other laptop and on my iPod, but not on my Aspire 5733.

Mar 29, 2012A few days ago I booted up my HP Pavilion dv4-2049wm laptop. Windows update needed to reboot, due to my postponing it for a few days, so I let it reboot and I started getting blue screens. After a few restarts (getting the BSOD every time), I booted into the last known good configuration. It booted up fine, but now I can no longer connect to my network (wired and wireless). It sees my wireless connection, but states "Limited Access."
Things I have tried:
- Uninstalled/Updated network drivers from HP's site, specific to my laptop model.
- Uninstalled all windows updates that were installed before BSOD
- Flushed, registered, renewed dns via command prompt
- Reset Winsock via command prompt
- Tried a "clean" boot
- Ran Windows Check Disk
- Ran Windows Memory Tester (Unsure of exact name)
On the day of the crash I attempted to do a restore, but the earliest restore I could do was at the time of the windows update (same time as BSOD). One thing I did notice is that the "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo_Interface" listed under network adapters is no longer there. Not sure what that might have to do with anything. I ran this tool (Who Crashed/Crashdump) and here is my log:

Network Wireless Adapter - Limited Access
Jan 27, 2012My new Samsung laptop has just stopped allowing me access to the internet. Its not a problem with the router as I have a wired connection to a desktop that is fine. My laptop has been working ok but now I just get 'Limited Access' from the status bar. All the other checks have been made with ISP the Intel(R) Centrino(R) wireless N130 is supposed to be working according to the network properties dialogue box. Also have wired the ethernet from desktop to laptop and still the same response so narrowing it down to the possible driver software.

The same laptop connects to internet just fine to ALL other routers, while ALL other computers (with different OS) connect to internet just fine via this router.The laptop in question connects well to the router itself and you can red everywhere that it is connected to internet as well. When I used the trouble shooter it tell s that I have a broken connection and I should try to reboot my router. We recently switched from Cox Cable internet to AT&T U-Verse, and I've started noticing that my internet connection will randomly go out when I am connected. This occurs whether I am on a wired or wireless connection. Specifically, I will be browsing the web and, randomly, when I try to pull up a website, I get an error indicating that I cannot connect to that website because I am not connected to the internet. When I check the status of my connection in the bottom right corner, it will show that I am connected to the internet. If I disconnect the ethernet cable (or disconnect and reconnect to the wifi network), the internet service is restored, although it continues to randomly lose connection.
I initially thought that it was a U-Verse issue, so AT&T came out and replaced the router. Unfortunately, I still got the random drops. I then thought it was a Windows issue, so I reformatted by hard drive and reinstalled Windows - still having that issue.My wife has an older Macbook and does not have this problem. We also do not have this problem with any of the tablets or phones that connect to the network wirelessly.I am beyond frustrated and do not know what to do. I also don't know if this is a sign that my laptop is at the end of its life, which would be unfortunate since I've only owned the laptop for about 3 years (my last laptop, a Dell, is on year 7 and still churning).
Home Wireless Connection, Continually Identifying Network, No Internet Access?
Feb 9, 2011I have recently been having difficulties with connecting with my wireless connection. We have a in-home router that is connected to two computer's downstairs by cable. I however own a Acer, Windows 7 laptop that I mainly use upstairs and I get a Excellent signal strength.I have connected to my Home wireless connection before with no problem but recently the connection keeps coming up as ~Identifying... No Internet Access.Also when I have had connection to this network prior to this problem the connection is under Home. But when I try to connect to the same network it comes up as Public or just keeps Identifying. I have the connection set to Connect Automatically.Also the yellow triangle with the exclamation point almost always pops up immediately when I reboot my system or after I Disconnect and Connect the network again. I have tried Disabling and Enabling the network in the adapter settings and this does not work either. In the manage wireless networks tab, I have repeatedly deleted the connection and reentered the security password and again put it as automatically connect but it still comes up as Identifying. I have seen many people with this same problem and have tried many of the suggestions to no avail.It is rather bizarre because my connection will be in this Identifying state for a while and randomly connect properly and I have no idea what makes it go off and on so erratically. I just had it working again for a few days and it is again acting up.

Nov 10, 2011Last night I was on the internet at home absolutely fine and my laptop automatically downloaded an update, since then I have been unable to connect to my wi-fi. I deleted the updates and was still unable to connect, so I tried to used a system recovery restore point and every one I use starts but fails to complete.So, I did a factory reset after around 8 hours of trying to sort it out today and I STILL have the same problem. I can plug in the cable to connect and my housemate is having absolutely no issues connecting and neither is my phone so now I am at a total loss what I should do to resolve this. Prior to the factory reset I was able to connect to the wi-fi but it was stating no network access/limited access and now it simply won't connect to my internet at all. It finds my full strength signal but will not connect.My drivers for the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n card are the most up to date and the laptop (HP G62) says it is working fine.
