I cannot access my internet and don't know why. When i try to access the internet it says I have 'limited access' although I have a full internet connection. Does anyone know how to fix this please? I have a Windows 7 operating system

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter installing the 'Panda 2011' antivirus, it's impossible to connect to any wireless connection. It always says 'limited access', even though the signal is at full strength.
The antivirus had been fully removed, but the problem persisted, so I even removed any trace left of it in the registry. I even installed the latest NIC driver just to be sure, but it still isn't working.
There are a lot of topics on here with the same 'limited access' problem, but none of them helped.
I have found a wireless connection near me and connected to it. I saw that my speed is kind of good (about 14 Mb/s), I tried to get this speed higher.I went into the router setup from my browser, and changed some settings from thereOnce changed, I reboot the router to see if it changed my speed.The one setting that blocked my access to internet is MCS. I don't remember if that was off/disabled, but i changed it to MCS7, the last option available for MCS... thing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I booted up my HP Pavilion dv4-2049wm laptop. Windows update needed to reboot, due to my postponing it for a few days, so I let it reboot and I started getting blue screens. After a few restarts (getting the BSOD every time), I booted into the last known good configuration. It booted up fine, but now I can no longer connect to my network (wired and wireless). It sees my wireless connection, but states "Limited Access."
Things I have tried:
- Uninstalled/Updated network drivers from HP's site, specific to my laptop model.
- Uninstalled all windows updates that were installed before BSOD
- Flushed, registered, renewed dns via command prompt
- Reset Winsock via command prompt
- Tried a "clean" boot
- Ran Windows Check Disk
- Ran Windows Memory Tester (Unsure of exact name)
On the day of the crash I attempted to do a restore, but the earliest restore I could do was at the time of the windows update (same time as BSOD). One thing I did notice is that the "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo_Interface" listed under network adapters is no longer there. Not sure what that might have to do with anything. I ran this tool (Who Crashed/Crashdump) and here is my log:

My new Samsung laptop has just stopped allowing me access to the internet. Its not a problem with the router as I have a wired connection to a desktop that is fine. My laptop has been working ok but now I just get 'Limited Access' from the status bar. All the other checks have been made with ISP the Intel(R) Centrino(R) wireless N130 is supposed to be working according to the network properties dialogue box. Also have wired the ethernet from desktop to laptop and still the same response so narrowing it down to the possible driver software.

When I click the Network connections button on my task bar it shows me my internet connection with the words Limited Access next to it. I've been on google for a good 2 hours and can't really find the answer. I may know what's wrong, however. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently been having difficulties with connecting with my wireless connection. We have a in-home router that is connected to two computer's downstairs by cable. I however own a Acer, Windows 7 laptop that I mainly use upstairs and I get a Excellent signal strength.I have connected to my Home wireless connection before with no problem but recently the connection keeps coming up as ~Identifying... No Internet Access.Also when I have had connection to this network prior to this problem the connection is under Home. But when I try to connect to the same network it comes up as Public or just keeps Identifying. I have the connection set to Connect Automatically.Also the yellow triangle with the exclamation point almost always pops up immediately when I reboot my system or after I Disconnect and Connect the network again. I have tried Disabling and Enabling the network in the adapter settings and this does not work either. In the manage wireless networks tab, I have repeatedly deleted the connection and reentered the security password and again put it as automatically connect but it still comes up as Identifying. I have seen many people with this same problem and have tried many of the suggestions to no avail.It is rather bizarre because my connection will be in this Identifying state for a while and randomly connect properly and I have no idea what makes it go off and on so erratically. I just had it working again for a few days and it is again acting up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm in need of some serious help here. Working with a Dell Inspiron 1750 laptop that's running windows 7. The machine can not get full access to the Internet. It seems as if there is a software conflict, but I can't find what it is. It did display the BSOD a couple of times, but the screen was gone before I could see what the codes were. The system restore only has 2 days of restore points, neither did anything to help.Running the diagnostics produced the following codes. 0f00:0232, 968634624, 0x490, 0x8007042c, 2000-0151.All repair options suggest patches that require an Internet connection. Well...if the computer had an Internet connection I wouldn't be in such a state. Reminds me of the car repair manual that says to start the engine to preform a test when the problem is the engine won't start.Anyway, I'm at a loss. This isn't even my machine, it belongs to the sister in-law, which means I have no idea of what she may have done, if anything, to cause the problem.There's a lot of Apple software for the ipod, or itouch, whatever it is she uses.I can't access the recent update history, so I'm not sure if updates are a factor.It sure seems like a software issue, but what do I know? If I knew what I was doing...I surely wouldn't be here seeking help.One other thing, when the machine is first booting, a window of some sort appears just after the desktop appears. It only flashes for a split second before disappearing. Not long enough to tell what it is.Well that's all I have, I sure hope that someone has an idea. The computer isn't even 2 years old, so it'd a shame to have to throw it away. As far as programs goes, it has very little, and the 500GB HD isn't even 25% filled.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI installed a new wireless adapter yesterday in the hope of increasing my internet speed. After installing the driver for the adapter I realised that my internet was no longer working. I can still see the connection but it is limited and doesnt allow me to connect to the internet. I also had a system up date the night before and hadn't been on the internet since that happened so am unsure if this has any part in it.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for both the adapters i have to no avail, as well as plugging my pc into a laptop and using internet connection sharing which also doesnt work.If i run a network repair i end up with two problems found:
1)There might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter

Shouldn't my wireless adapters appear here?
When I started using my computer this morning everything was fine, and then "no network access" kept appearing, along with "limited connection/connectivity". I would troubleshoot the problem, but then at the end of the troubleshoot it would freeze, and my screen went black, so I had to turn my computer off and then on again. This problem has persisted throughout the day, I've googled it but nothing really the same as this has turned up .
View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night I was on the internet at home absolutely fine and my laptop automatically downloaded an update, since then I have been unable to connect to my wi-fi. I deleted the updates and was still unable to connect, so I tried to used a system recovery restore point and every one I use starts but fails to complete.So, I did a factory reset after around 8 hours of trying to sort it out today and I STILL have the same problem. I can plug in the cable to connect and my housemate is having absolutely no issues connecting and neither is my phone so now I am at a total loss what I should do to resolve this. Prior to the factory reset I was able to connect to the wi-fi but it was stating no network access/limited access and now it simply won't connect to my internet at all. It finds my full strength signal but will not connect.My drivers for the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n card are the most up to date and the laptop (HP G62) says it is working fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated to v. 2.2 Of Sun Virtualbox and have lost my connection to the Internet on Windows 7. The 'VirtualBox Host - Only Network Status' reports "limited or no connectivity". This is because "the Network did not assign a Network Address to the Computer". I have not been able to solve this problem, the icon in the sys. tray has a yellow marker against it.
I have normal connectivity on Windows XP.
I cannot wind back using System Restore as there are no restore points. I do have a drive image of my C; drive dated just prior to the update, would this work?. Is there an easier way?.

View 5 Replies View RelatedA few hours ago I installed a Windows update, so my ACER Aspire 5733 restarted. I shut it down after the restart, not paying attention to the wireless. When I went to turn it back on, I couldn't get online because my home wireless connection has "Limited access."The icon signifying signal strength on the taskbar has a small yellow star-shaped dot on it. When I click on it, it pops up and says "Not connected. Connections are available. It then says my wireless network name and says "Limited access" next to it. The signal strength is excellent.When I disconnect and then reconnect it says the connection was unsuccessful because the computer has limited connectivity.The same network is working on my other laptop and on my iPod, but not on my Aspire 5733.

One of the laptops has all of a sudden switched to saying limited access on the proset icon. After reading threads etc. I have re booted the laptop & router, tried connected by wire with no avail. The machine is running very slow and I am wondering if this isn't the only fault. View 2 Replies View RelatedMy laptop suddenly stopped being able to connect to the network in my house and for that obviously it doesn't have any internet. It doesn't work either by connecting a cable or trying to use the wireless, here are the detaills for each case: When I connect the cable, the laptop detects it, but doesn't detect any network, it doesn't seem to even be trying. I checked on the network adapters, and it clearly says "enabled" when connected and when disconnected it changes to "No network cable plugged in". When I try to connect to my network, it always ends up saying "Limited access", when I tried troubleshooting, it said that there may be an error with the network drivers, I tried the fix there, and then it says that there must be an error with the network adapters.
Here's what I have tried so far:
-Reinstalling the devices and drivers, when I check them in device manager, it says that both the wireless and network driver are working properly.
-I tried resetting the router.
-Tried resetting the bios of the computer to it's factory ones.
- Tried resetting IPv4 and IPV6, along with the IP/TCP using the command prompt, still no go.
When I try to ipconfig /release or ipconfig /renew, I get an error saying the next thing: "An error ocurred while releasing interface Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1: they System cannot find the file specified. The operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation."

I have been using my home internet in my new place for a couple of weeks fine, yesterday morning when I tried it it had the limited access yellow triangle and wouldn�t connect.I reset the router and connected to the wifi on my iphone which worked fine, I checked the DNS numbers were the same as on my iphone which they were and I had not changed any settings. I spent the entire day yesterday online looking for solutions, I�ve reset the adapter, disabled it etc, set the ip and dns to automatic and back again etc etc.
When my wifi tries to connect to my home internet it takes a LONG time to identify and then identifies it either as an unidentified network and/or public. Even when I change it to home it changes it back to public or just doesn�t let me change it to home and says try again later.
Ps- I just tried disabling then re-enabling the protocol 6 on the wifi which isn�t working and it just said �in order to configure TCP/IP, you must install and enable a network adapter card. But then it just let me configure it and is still connected but with limited access and public network.
I am setting up a new Acer laptop and cannot access the internet via my home wifi network. I have 2 other laptops connected to the network and running fine. The new pc is running 64 bit Windows 7 (the others run XP) and has an Atheros AR5B93 Wireless Network Adapter. When I pan over the wireless icon in my taskbar, it says "Limited access" beside my home wifi signal.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with internet access when connecting wirelessly on ONE Win 7 64 laptop on ONE router. The same laptop connects to internet just fine to ALL other routers, while ALL other computers (with different OS) connect to internet just fine via this router.The laptop in question connects well to the router itself and you can red everywhere that it is connected to internet as well. But when i try to load any pages in any browsers i get "server not found" in FireFox or "This webpage is not available" in Chrome. Email and torrent clients don't work either.This does not seem to be a DNS issue because accessing sites via IP address does not work. Pinging any sites or IP addresses does not work.The strangest thing is that the situation have been worsening slowly over last 2 weeks - at first everything was just fine, then i would have to reload pages every now and then, last days i would succeed less and less frequently and as of yesterday - no luck at all.
