Wireless Card Not Recognized

Sep 1, 2011

I recently installed Windows 7, and most seemed to be fine. However, I just moved to college for the semester and I usually use wireless at school. I have a wireless card/adapter and it used to work fine on XP, but Windows 7 doesn't seem to recognize it at all. I checked device manager and the only network adapter is 'NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller'. Under 'Other devices' is 'Network Controller' with a little '!' next to it. This may be the wireless card, but I don't know how to make it work.I really need to get this wireless working, otherwise I could be screwed. I never removed the card so it should be in there. Not sure why windows 7 is not recognizing it (in fact, I used to get annoyed when the 'Wireless network detected' bubble popped up on XP. Now I want nothing more!)

Video Card Not Recognized?

Jul 25, 2012

Recently ran a bunch of malware / antivirus programs to get rid of a zeroaccess trojan. (malwarebytes, mcafee, cccleanter, eset, hitman). Was finally able to get rid of the viruses in the services.exe and desktop.ini files. However once they were cleaned and got everything back to normal, I'm having problems with my video card being recognized by anything. Only recognizing the Intel® and not my Nvidia gtx 560M. It's not listed on the dxdiag page, not showing up as a selectable option for The Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Was working fine a few hours ago. It's listed under device manager just not showing up anywhere else. Just wondering if getting rid of those viruses might have deleted some needed .dll or something

Video Card Not Recognized?

-HP Pavilion p6750z Desktop PC-AMD Athlon(TM) II 250 dual-core processor-6 GB RAM-512MB DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 6450 (PCIE)-Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bitSo, two weeks ago I bought a desktop PC from HP. I wiped the drive to get all their vapor ware off, installed my software and everything went fine. Windows Update recognized the hardware on my machine and downloaded and installed the appropriate drivers after the wipe. Here's the problem. My girlfriend followed suit two weeks later and asked me to do the same thing for her. Our machines were slightly different but for the most part I expected a similar experience. Except it wasn't. This time Windows Update failed to recognize the Video Card after the wipe.So now she has this nice video card sitting in her machine using a Standard VGA Adapter instead of the Radeon drivers it needs. No matter how many times I download and install the Catalyst software from ATI's site it doesn't catch. What am I doing wrong?

SDHC Card Not Recognized

Aug 15, 2009

We just bought an 8GB SDHC Transcend micro SD card from amazon. I did not realize there were probs. I put it directly into my tower in the card slot and nothing pops up. If I put my regular old 2GB micro SD in the slot, it immediately pops up, but not the SDHC card. Is there a fix for this? Something I can download to make it recognized or did I waste my money and get a piece of junk? Please help. This was actually my son's money; he wanted this, and I did not realize there was an issue with these until I googled the prob and had tons of people's complaints pop up.

Contents Of SD Card Not Recognized

Dec 24, 2011

I am having a problem with memory cards (SD) contents being recognized on a Windows 7 Pro machine. I am using an internal card reader, and have virtually eliminated it being a hardware problem because a new replacement unit gives the same results. The first time a card is placed in the reader after the computer is booted, the card is recognized but not the contents. In Windows Explorer, the card is designated "Removable Disk (H)". When I attempt to navigate to the contents, a window opens titled "Insert Disk", prompting that a disk be inserted into the drive.I can correct this on subsequent card insertions by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon in the system tray. When clicking on the specified card/device (only item showing) I am prompted that "Removable Dish (H)" is currently in use". There are no applications open including Windows Explorer. Of the choices given, (Cancel, Try Again and Continue) selecting Continue results in an indication that it is safe to remove the hardware. When I remove the card and replace it, I don't get the expected Autoplay prompt, but when I open Windows Explorer the disk shows with the same drive designation, but this time with the volume showing instead of "Removable Disk". I can then navigate and find files and folders on the card.Removing the card again and reinserting it using the same procedure the second time results in the Autoplay window opening and the contents of the card being recognized in explorer. At this point everything works as expected and will continue to until the computer is rebooted.I would like to find a way to have the volume and contents of the card recognized and the auto play window open the first attempt after the computer is booted.

I installed the 7022 x86 version of Windows 7. Everything installed fine and there were driver issues which I anticipated but my Ethernet port is not working on Windows 7 or any other OS for that matter.

Its a very strange situation. After it was not seen I Windows 7 I booted from my 2nd drive which has Vista on it and it was not seen there so I booted from my XP drive and it was not seen on there either.....

I have re-downloaded all the drivers for each version of the OS but none are making the NIC discoverable.

I have an nVidia 680i SLi & I am using the on board port.

Wireless Keyboard - USB Device Not Recognized?

Nov 8, 2011

i just bought a Trust Thinity wireless media keyboard. It comes with no disc or drivers and the usb receiver is just plug and play. When I plug it in it gives me the message "One of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned."If I keep unplugging and plugging back in it eventually picks up the drivers and installs, unitil I switch off my computer and then its back to square one.

All my motherboard drivers are up to date and bios is on latest version. Iv tryed uninstalling all my USB controllers and restarting. Iv even installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 64bit and 32bit to see if that made any difference but it hasnt.

The keyboard is brand new and I have tryed it on XP and it picked it up, installed the drivers and worked straight away.

Wireless Mouse Not Recognized By Windows 7 (x64)

Mar 1, 2011

I rebooted my machine the other night and when it came back on, my Logitech EX 100 mouse and keyboard were non-functional.

They (the keyboard, at least) work in bios, when the adapter is plugged into my laptop, both devices work flawlessly, just on my main machine, it's a no-go. This is maddening.

I downloaded the newest Setpoint version from Logitech to no avail, I've disabled and uninstalled all of these usb devices in my device manager, and tried the adapter in every usb port (there are 12) on my motherboard. All other usb devices work fine.

Usb Pci Card - Devices Plugged Into It Not Recognized

Sep 9, 2009

I just installed a new PCI USB 2.0 card into my machine. I have a Line 6 Toneport UX8 that connects to the PC by USB as the interface for microphones and instruments. Because of the high volume of data coming down the pipe from this external interface it is pretty much a 'mandatory recommendation' to use a dedicated USB controller in a PCI slot.

Anyway, I installed the PCI card just fine but when I plug in the UX8 to it, Windows 7 reports 'USB device not recognized'. It is recognized if I plug it into one of the motherboard's USB slots though. I need to use this PCI card, otherwise the recording quality is useless. I know other people have this external interface and run it into a dedicated PCI/USB controller with great results. So I am hoping someone here can suggest what I can do to get Windows 7 to recognize the card and the USB devices plugged into it.

I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall the OS since it will be a pain to have to reinstall again when the commercial licenses come out in less than a month (I'm assuming I'll have to reinstall since I will be using an upgrade from my XP Pro that I have not used since trying out this Windows 7 RC).

Graphic Card Doesn't Get Recognized?

Aug 7, 2011

I bought my laptop awhile ago and it has 2 graphic card drivers in it. One Intel and one from NVIDIA. It all worked fine until I decided to upgrade my NVIDIA Graphic Card driver. I think this is the cause although it could easily be something else. Either way after the new installed driver there was no way to run ANY program with my NVIDIA card. It does get recognized in the "Device Manager" but no program seems to be able to acces the NVIDIA.So I decided to download the lastest driver from the Dell site and install it. As that was the driver version I used back when it was working but I still seem to have the same problem. I don't really know what causes this.

I tried running a performance test to see if this program could use the graphic card but I seem to have no luck. Accesing the NVIDIA Control Panel and setting the desired program (or the global options) to automaticly run with my NVIDIA Graphic Card above anything didn't seem to pay off. I have searched with google for awhile but it's hard to use google if you don't know what your looking for. I found some things but I can't even tell if there connected to this problem.

Windows 7 ATI Graphics Card Not Recognized?

Nov 23, 2011

I have recently had some video issues with my HP Probook 6550b.

Basically, I have recently had the heat sink, motherboard and monitor all replaced. My ongoing issue is that now Windows does now not recognize my on board ATI graphics card. If I install the drivers from the ATI website it does not acknowledge that the adaptor exists at all. Conversely, under Device Manager, no display adaptor is listed.

I have also installed the 64 bit BIOS update and graphics drivers from the HP website with no success. Interestingly, If I attach an external monitor, reboot and enter BIOS. I can close the lid, and the external VGA monitor works. However, when I then log into Windows and then try to use the secondary monitor, it does not work.

HP have informed me that as the external VGA out does work, it is not a hardware problem with the graphics adaptor. How do I go about getting this issue resolved? Currently, all video is jittery and the brightness is sub-standard.

TV Is Not Being Recognized By MSI R7770 Graphics Card Anymore

Aug 1, 2012

I have got a problem which has occurred just few days ago. My TV could not and still cannot be recognised by my graphics card, meanwhile my monitor is working properly. I always use TV for watching movies, videos and whenever I am too lazy to get off my bed.

Recently I have changed my graphics card from nVidia GeForce GT 320. The new card's drivers may not be working properly and every time I turn on my PC, OS crashes on start up. Blue screen appears, showing that physical memory is being dumped. Then restarts. I select "Start Windows Normally" option. After everything loads, I get a message on my desktop saying error related to OpenCL.dll.

So one day I turn on my PC, go through all the rough start up and try to watch video through my TV and it is not recognised. I tried to repair it by checking all connections, AMD Catalyst Control Centre and "Screen Resolution" option on desktop (right click).

After my TV wasn't working with my PC, I left it alone. I was looking for solution online but nothing useful. Next day I came back from work and I tested it. It surprisingly worked and was showing all as before. The day after that it didn't work again.

Here are some answers to questions you might want to ask:My TV is 42" Philips Smart LED Easy 3D 4300 series (Full 1080p). My monitor is simple 24" AOC screen (Full 1080p) and it is connected through VGA cable. My graphics card is MSI Radeon R7770 1GB with MSI Afterburner. I have got TV connected from HDMI in my PC's graphics card to TV's 3rd HDMI plug. I have checked every connection and nothing has been touched since I was using it as usual. TV has been updated with latest firmware. So has the graphics card.

Best Wireless Pci Card

Dec 23, 2009

So i've been trying to figure out why the new computer I've built is freezing up randomly during operation. So far I've: Flashed an updated bios version, Run Memtest86+, and have been systematically uninstalling hardware. I think i've found the though, and it's the Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter (WMP54G).

Once i removed this piece of hardware, the issue vanished. I looked online for some information and i found that the Ralink chipset Linksys uses has driver issues with 64bit windows 7 at 4gb+ ram.

So, what i basically want to know is, is there a good pci wireless adapter for 64bit windows that won't suck?

And no, i can't use an Ethernet cable, I split the Internet with my neighbors (apartment) and i'm the one w/o the router.

64-Bit Not Supporting Wireless Card

Oct 8, 2009

Okay, so I'm using Windows 7 64-Bit. It's flawless, and a bit of a show off, seeming as it already had all of the necessary drivers for all my PC components pre-installed. :P

One issue is the network card. I had a Netgear WPN311 card before, which I couldn't find the right drivers for, so I decided to put my old Belkin F5D7000 into the PCI port.

So.. basically.. I don't have any way of getting online, because I am literally unable to find drivers that suit Windows 7 64-Bit, and at the same time work on this Belkin card.

So this is the one thing I'm confused with.. The PC seems to pick it up as a 'Multimedia' device under device manager. I am completely at a loss what to do with it, and it's becoming very frustrating. If anyone can help me out, tell me what drivers to use for this or the Netgear one if that so happens to be necessary, I would be very, very grateful.

Can't Go Online Using A PCI Wireless Card

Nov 22, 2009

I have a new system running win7 64-bit, and so far I have not been able to get it to connect to the Internet using a PCI wireless card or usb adapter.

So in the interim, I'm trying to get it to connect via an access point functioning as a bridge. I've confirmed that the bridge works because it successfully connects my laptop (running windows XP) to the net.

However, when I plug in the same connection to my win7 system, it doesn't work. I've gone one step back and tested the Ethernet connection directly from the router, and that works. So I've confirmed that the Ethernet port is working properly.

It's just that when I plug in the bridge connection to the Ethernet port, it doesn't work.

Anybody got any ideas? How come my bridge works with my laptop, but not my new PC?

If they don't work then I'll do a restore point. If all the above doesn't work what would you suggest before getting a new network card - presuming it can be replaced and not an on board type ?? System recovery ?
