I have two Windows Updates that failed to properly install, how can I fix or reinstall them? I ran the Microsoft Fix It program and it said the updates were repaired but they are still listed as failed under the update history section of Windows Update. I run a 64 bit version of Windows 7

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that on occassions say every 2nd or 3rd start-up my laptop states that Windows failed to start-up properly, and gives me the option of repair or start windows normally So as the recovery states on screen is recommended this is usually the route i take but i have also run start as normal which gets me going. this is maybe not as serious as other posts I've read but it's becoming very frustrating, my laptop is a Lenovo G575 and i'm running windows 7 home premium.[code]
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust purchased a new MOBO and some other new hardware a couple of weeks ago. I am using the same Windows 7 Pro copy I had on my previous mobo and HD. After I installed Windows 7 Pro onto my SDD (with a HD as my secondary storage), I was getting BSOD and SP1 would not install (but other updates would prefectly fine). I re-installed (cleanly) Pro a couple of days ago. Now, barely any of the updates work. There are various failure codes, such as the ones in the title--and no distinct problem.
I was able to download some updates by only selecting 1-3 at a time. However, with 118 updates...I eventually lost my patience (plus, sometimes a few would still fail even at only 1-3 at a time).
The failure process at first was at the download stage - the progress would freeze randomly at 7% or whichever. After several more attempts it got through to the installation phase. Now installations randomly stop at a random file. Upon restart, Windows fails to configure updates and nothing is accomplished.
Now a weird thing is, that with some of my larger files (2+mb), I will sometimes see like 5.1mb - 10mb for the listed file size. Also, on my main Windows Update screen (the one which lists how many important and optional updates you can download), it says "79 important updates selected, 236.2 MB - 1,059.8 MB."
I have tried:
-FixIt
-Deleting all temp files
-Deleting DataStore

Windows 7 Pro
ASUS P8Z77-V Pro
Samsung 830 64GB SSD
I have been trying for the past 3 nights to find a way to fix whatever is the reason for my latest windows updates continue to fail. There are 3 of them trying to be installed: KB2655992; KB2691442; KB2719985; I have tried the troublesshooting, added anti-malware, cleaned whatever I could or know how to clean and they still wont update.

The error code I get is "800736B3". I ran MS FIXIT and it said they did not detect any problems.
I updated Windows 7 64bit and it installed IE9 64bit. I used to be in IE8 64 or 32bit. I'm not sure. When on IE9 I had so much problems with flash player. So I uninstalled the updates to IE9.Now my IE8 doesn't fully work anymore. I updated Flash player, thinking that was the problem. Some thing with Internet Explorere (non-64bit)I play a lot of those Facebook applications like farmville and cityville. I can get to the game ok, but any popup within the game to ask request, don't work anymore.I am already using firefox for my other account, so I need IE working.

I am deathly afraid to turn off my computer because my brother recently did and that caused it to freeze at the blue HP startup screen, but thats another thread. I get this error whenever I launch anything. I can't even open up the task manager. I really need help. I don't currently have a way to back up my stuff either but I am working on it. By the way, I don't know that my brother was having the same error message as i was or if he was having any error messages. I use zone alarm full security suite if that helps at all, I don't know if it deleted a registry file or something.

It will go through the loading process and it goes through all the steps until it finishes and restarts and then I get a blue and white diagonal striped screen. I have Administrative rights to the computers only, and network access rights on our network. I keep a number of computers up to date, including various 3rd-party programs (i.e. java, flash, etc), and I currently manually remotely connect to each computer and install the updates to the programs from a network share, then run Windows update, select all the critical updates (as well as all the applicable optional updates), then disconnect and move on to the next one. Needless to say, time quickly adds up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 4 Win 7 computer that will not up-date, Windows shows 21 updates available (all 4 computers show same), upon reboot system says "Updates Failed". Each computer upon reboot dsiplays an error message saying the "updates failed". rinse - repeat.This started with one computer about a month ago, I now have 4 that are doing it. I have scanned with Combofix, Superantispyware, Rkill, Symamtec's Endpoint, eSet on-line, Panda on-line, Malwarebytes, JRT, ADWcleaner, CCleaner, FSS, awsMBR, and tried the MS FIXIT.
I also tried this procedure:
1) Disabled Windows update Service
2) Deleted all files in c:\windows\softwaredistribution\datastore and deleted files in c:\windows\softwaredistribution\download
4) 3) Downloaded and installed the most up to date Windows Update Agent.
5) Restarted Windows Update Agent, made sure Workstation and Background Intelligent Transfer Services were running.
6) Ran the MS Mr. Fixit program to repair update issues.
7) Ran the Windows update. 21 updates to install (as always).
8) Rebooted
9) Guess what, same issue!
I tried this on ALL 4 COMPUTERS I have with this SAME issue, 2 of which are on the same domain, the other two are laptops. ALL 4 FAILED. All four (4) again show the need to receive 21 updates. All 4 were again ran through the update process, all four (4) again failed post re-boot to take the updates (message stated �up-dates failed� post re-boot)
For the past day windows wants to install the same 4 updates over and over, I have windows update set to download and let me choose when to install.
I can't understand why I even need them, as I uninstalled net framework. Notice how the update at 8:17 AM., KB2656368, is the same as one of the 4 updates installed at 7:47 PM. Windows wants to install the same four kb files again.How do I stop this?
