View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently installed a new hyper 212 cooler. After doing so I downloaded the Intel Burn Tool and ran it a few time to make sure my temps were fine. Now I can't run the WEI program?
View 18 Replies View RelatedMy Windows experience index is 5.5, can I increase it?My Computer is an Intel DH67BL_ Motherboard Intel i7 2600 3.4GHz CPU 16 GB of memory, 500 GB Seagate SATA hard drive, running Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Asus G73SW Republic of Gamers laptop. Systems specs are an i7 2630QM 2.0ghz cpu, 16GB of ram, 1TB and 500GB, Nvidia GeForce 460m 1.5g of mem. My question is looking at other people that have the same machine are rating at around 7 on the processor part of the WEI, but I am rating a 4.7!!!!! I have also seen many machines at work that have far lower processing power that rate a higher score than I do.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop a few days ago, and am trying to get the Windows Experience Index generated. However, I get a message saying that it couldn't be completed due to an error. Here is the info from the winsat.log file: Code:
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Windows Experience index is not working. I click on "rate this computer", and nothing happens. My old scores are gone, but I haven't tried using it in probably 4 months. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1 OS Version 6.1.7601.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have core2duo T6600 2.20ghz cpu, 4 gb(2.75gb usable) ram installed on my system, 500 gb hdd, and 512 mb dedicated nvidia graphics memory. Still my windows experience index is 3.4 only. Is there any way to increase it. Due to low WEI I face problems in playing some games.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI have a problem (though I think it is minor because my system recovers quite well from it after restarting). Basically, I overclocked my CPU to 4.19 gHz and everything is running smoothly (also got a Radeon 7770 HD graphics card) so I decided to redo my WEI score and close to the end of the CPU test the computer crashed and went to the blue screen of death before restarting again. Everything seems fine with my computer but I'm not sure what the problem might be. [code]

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I keep getting this error when trying to run WEI so that I can get the previews for the taskbar.
-- Error message --
The Windows Experience Index for your system could not be computed.
Could not measure storage performance. Error: Failed to properly assess the disk. The data is invalid.

i own dell vostro 1400, c2d 1.6ghz, 4 gb ddr2 ram (2x2gb), windows 7 ultimate 32 bits.
i was very happy with the performance but suddenly it has become extremely slow to use. it becomes quite unresponsive even for simple tasks like watching Internet in browser. i check windows experience index and found out that processor and memory subscores are very low.
it shows 2.1 for processor and 2.8 memory.
I'm curious to see what kind of numbers people have gotten for the primary hard disk data transfer rate. Under Vista I scored 5.9 on all tests as it was as high as the numbers would go.
After a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, I was quite surprised to find my primary hard disk score remained at a 5.9. My boot drive is made up of 2 10,000RPM cheetah SATA drives in a RAID stripe (RAID0). I'm wondering if this test is still maxed out at 5.9. If you got higher than 5.9, what kind of drive are you using? I'm sure SSD's score higher.
Several weeks back I started getting an error every time I ran the WEI in one of my computers. It would stop near the end of its run with the following error:The Windows Experience Index for Your System Could Not be Computed Could not measure storage performance.Error: Failed to properly asses the disk. The parameter is incorrect.(Parameter ??? There's nothing I like better than a nice cryptic explanation)And get this... Today I ran the WEI on my 2nd computer and now it's producing this same error. And yet, both computer's HDDs check out fine, There are no flags in Device Manager, and no problems elsewhere.I haven't done anything pertaining to the HDD in either machine. If I remember correctly, I noticed the problem after swapping the graphics cards between machines, although I can't understand why that would affect the HDD error in WEI. In both instances I did a clean re-install of the latest drivers. Both systems are kept clean of garbage and both are running Win7x64.
View 9 Replies View Relatedwhat the difference is between the graphics rating and gaming graphics rating in the Windows Experience Index? Which is more important? Because my graphics has the lowest subscore of 5.8 and my gaming graphics has a subscore of 6.7.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't run the Windows Experience Index after performing some hardware changes. Since two weeks ago when I first had the issue, I have tried rebooting, upgrading the SSD, and upgrading the graphics card. I have also done a search on Google.

When the PC came, it had a rating of 4.5, the lowest being the Gaming graphics section. Right now, that section is 4.2 and has established the baseline. I did the custom option and wiped my entire hard disk, created new partitions according to my need and installed the windows on a newly created and formatted partition.
Before I began installation, I backed up a folder called 'drivers' located in the root folder of the OS partition. This is what I used to update all of my drivers after the installation.
My PC is a Dell Latitude E5410. - Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x86 - PC's hard drive capacity is about 240 GB but when it came it only had a single partition of 116 GB - I don't have the original disks that came with the PC.
Is there any way I can get back to my original rating?
When I run the WEI I receive an error that says video playback cannot be completed. I have updated all video drivers. I have a NVIDIA GEForce GTS 250. Below is a copy of the error log.

I know this is nitpicky and rather insane but i have a sata 3 hard drive using a sata 3 cable plugged into a sata 3 controller and windows only rates my HDD transfer rate as 5.9 (eg sata 2) and i know this is nitpicky but what do i need to do to fix that
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have never gotten this to work on any of my desktop computers once I upgrade them. On the laptops, it runs fine every time. The error happens at the end and gives the normal "could not measure storage performance. error: failed to properly assess the disk. The parameter is incorrect."
View 3 Replies View RelatedI ran the Windows Experience Index on the PC I just built and in the part that tells you the amount of RAM you have installed, it says nothing.
Installed Memory (RAM): (Blank)
However, it did give me a rating of 7.4 for the RAM section. (6 Gigs of OCZ DDR3 1600 )
Is this something to worry about?
I previously had vista installed and it performed smoothly.I did a Windows 7(x64) clean install and i kept getting the usual "cannot complete the assessment error".
I updated all BIOS-graphic card drivers and still no solution.
i want to wi-fi driver for 3.2 window experience index 64 bit
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy does Windows 7 automatically reindex my index search file when I reboot the computer.I have 300,000 files on my computer and it takes two days to rebuild the index. I leave my computer on all the time because I am afraid that by turning it off and on again will cause the indexing function to restart the index. How can I stop this reindexing function from starting on its own.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed a retail copy of win 7 on my laptop and have been experiencing some issues. At first everything worked fine but out of the blue my desktop/folders have not been auto-refreshing. Whenever I try to delete or create a new folder I have to manually refresh to the folder in order to view it. When shutting down my laptop it takes 5+ minutes and when my desktop is loading after booting up the laptop it takes several minutes for everything to load and for the win 7 chime.
Finally, it won't allow me to update. When I try to use the windows updater it hangs for a while on "creating restoring point" (which may be normal) but then permanently hangs on installing update 1/16 at 0%. If I try canceling the update nothing happens and even when I try to shut down the laptop it attempts to install the updates but hangs on update 1/16.
From researching these issues I've realized that the auto-refresh problem is not uncommon and has something to do with a network. This may be unrelated but these problems only started to occur when I was transferring pictures via a USB stick.
Recently I wanted to check out WinXP. I installed it and it ran pretty good. But Since I use Dx 10 for some of my gaming I decided Re-install 7. When I returned to 7 I noticed WEI giving me a lower score then what I used to have. I used to have a 4.2 Aero / 5.4 Gaming graphics. Now its showing at best a 3.8 Aero / 5.3 Gaming graphics score. I say at best because first going into Windows after the re-install it showed 3.7 Aero / 5.2 Gaming. And at the 2nd day in use 3.8 Aero / 5.3 Gaming. I did everything normal as always, installed DX update, Java, Flash, Visual C+. So maybe it just needs time to improve itself or maybe I'm missing something I don't know. The Graphics Driver is up to date and is setup as it always was when I had the high score. I know Windows 7 Improves Performance over time with superfetch so I'll continue to monitor it.
View 1 Replies View Relatedhad a look and cant find similar issue anywhere. Basically i have a dell inspiron 1520 with x3100 i had to reformat windows 7.Everything is fine except i can noticably tell my games are slower than before. I ran the WEI and gaming graphics is reported at 3.1The gaming score of WEI before i reformatted was 3.5. I have the latest windows 7 x3100 drivers from intel.com since the dell site supports vista x32 only. i have latest chipset drivers.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a Acer Aspire 5735 running Vista 32 bit. It has 4gb ram and a Intel 2 duo T6400 processor. I have installed win 7 upgrade and found the performance score dropped from 3.7 to 3.4. The upgrade was installed on Vista as from the factory without any extra software. I have tried to upgrade to Win 7 32 bit but it wont accept that although the computer should be suitable.
