Just purchased a sandisk 64gb microsd. When I put it in, windows says it needs to be formatted. I went to format it as exfat but it only sees the drive as27gb. Same thing if I select ntfs. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this a faulty microsd card. If I use swissknife to look at the removable drives, it shows the drive as being 64GB and formatted already.
Today i booted up my computor and some updates were automatically done and then i had to restart. when i began working on my project again the function of assigning one pane to one side and the other half of the window. i am running a sony vaio and originally it had a thing at the top of the desktop screen, a toolbar i think.

Currently I'm using Windows 7 64Bit ultimate. Yesterday I brought Sandisk microSDXC 64GB.
I try to use this microSD with my PC. But my PC cannot access to this microSD card. So I try to format this microSD card again. But I can't format it, Because Windows can't specify capacity of this card.
Addition Information I'm using Sandisk ImageMate All-in-One USB3.0, tjat already supprt microSDXC I [URL]
Can you recommend me the best way to transfer OS from old 64gb ssd to new 256gb ssd? My prev 64gb only had my os installed. So i presume that to upgrade to a new 256gb i just need to install an os and it will work the same way as the old 64 gb?
Anybody able to help me with this problem? I currently have the new 256gb installed with windows 7. However when i replace the old 64gb with the new 256 gb it states that the bootmgr is missing. Bios seems to detect the new 256 gb.
i would like to have my 256gb replace the 64 gb and operate the same way as my 64 gb without any changes.
My Dell XPS 8500 has an MSATA slot in which I have a 64 gb msata board which acts as the system and boot drive. I have just purchased a 128 gb msata board I want to install in place of the 64gb unit. My system also has a 1 tb main hard drive. I have tried a system restore DVD and Back/Restore, neither has worked at all. All I want to do is find a way to do a complete copy of the 64gb msata now installed and then replace it with the 128gb unit and copy over all of the data that was on the 64gb one. This way all I have done will be to have more storage available on my system drive, the msata drive.
recently I've been noticing Windows 7 doesn't even automatically check all the updates it claims are important. Yes, I have it set to install Windows Updates automatically, but this would still prompt me to "start" the updates.I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my having Microsoft Office 2003 (the 2003 version of MS Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) but, that's not an excuse. They're prompting me to install updates for my software they're JUST releasing, and yet they fail seemingly almost every time? Do they even test the sh!t they release to the public? And how come sometimes they'll install if I manually do it myself as opposed to when I try doing it automatically? Why should it be any different?
Stop Windows 7 assigning my folders to its own special ones
This is a year-old Windows 7 Pro PC that gets very heavy home office use. Just yesterday I noticed that 2 top-level folders I created long ago no longer appear in the Explorer view of folders under C:.
In each case, if I explicitly enter the folder's path in the address bar (or the Run dialog), the folder content displays, but the address bar reads, for example, Computer - OS (C) - My Pictures. (The title bar shows the path, but the address bar is beating its own drum.) Another folder has now suddenly been declared My Music. And while these folders do contain lots of pictures and music, respectively, they have other stuff in them too, and I don't want Windows to apply its heavy-handed classifications. Strangest thing is, I'm certain the My Pictures and My Music folders were located elsewhere until yesterday.
If I go up one level from either folder (to C), the folder's name & icon are not shown in the list of other top-level folders. That is, I can't cursor down to it and hit Enter to open, as I can with dozens of others.
I've never used, nor liked being cajoled into using, Microsoft's array of "My XXXX" folders, nor am I partial to the recently birthed "libraries" concept. I have my own carefully designed folder hierarchy, and must work in it at great speed, so short paths and quick keyboard access are critical. I deliberately name certain folders toward the top of the alphabet, so scrolling down to the 'My's -- even if I were to accept these involuntary relocations
This only just started, and I can't figure out what provoked it. Is there a setting that governs this that can be disabled? If it's a new "feature" added in an update, I see it as inexcusably intrusive.
I just turned on an almost new build pc to install windows 7. The entire pc is a new build except the hard drive that has a good copy of xp installed. I am trying to install a new copy of windows 7 on the hard drive. So I turned the pc on and go into the bios to set the DVD to boot first. So windows starts to install and the window is loading bar comes up. After the bar gets over half full, the screen drops and there is a line of h's on the left side of the screen and the installation freezes.
Just recently something has happened to change things like "one" to "Half-Two"; "there" to "Thor"; "mathematics" to "spelling"; and "Yours" to "Y'all's" or "you're" to "Y'all're". This happens on IE and Firefox and even happens the URL when I attempt to go to a mathematics website. The only thing I have done that I can think of that might possibly be involved is I downloaded jsMath v3.6 (Tex fonts) but I removed that and the problem is still there.
I have performance problems. Even though I have 4GB RAM installed physically, my hard disk runs like crazy. A moment ago, I encountered the system report below, which says that only 2GB of my RAM is usable.
For some unkown reason half my memory is no longer working i have 8gb of ram on my computer yet it says only 4gb is available and if i go onto resource moniter it says that half of my memory is reserved for hardware? also im not great at computer.
I downloaded an old game that I wanted to play again it finished downloading I installed it. Though it didn't install in the folder I wanted it to so I uninstalled it and started the installation again. Went through the process and put in the correct pathing D: program files (x86) it selected and smart highlighted program files x86 for me so i hit enter and the installer thought I was finished with the pathing when I was not and it went ahead and installed the game to that path.So once again I uninstalled the game and this time ... it uninstalled everything within "Program Files (x86) from A to L before I realized what was happening .. I quickly ctrl shift esc'd and canceled that process for the uninstaller and now alot of items are missing so many I don't even know what is gone.Unfortunately I do not enable system restore on any of my drives because I know malware can hide in there and some people recommend to keep it off.is there any way without using system
I am having an issue getting my microphone working. I used to have the logitech USB mic about a year ago and that worked great, then one day it stopped working. I tried fixing it for a while but couldn't figure it out, so I gave up on it. The mic was not the problem because it worked perfectly fine on other computers. Recently a came across another brand USB mic so I decided I would give that a try also, this just doesn't work either. The problem is that when I plug it in, it recognizes and installs the drivers (USB Audio Device). When I go into recording on sound options, it shows the mic there as the default device. Now when I click it, the levels tab is just blank. Also I cannot make any changes to the microphone such as "Listen to this device" etc, none of the options will stick. If I go into windows sound recording for example, it will tell me "An audio recording device cannot be found". To troubleshoot this issue, I uninstalled the USB port it is plugged into, tried it again. I tried this with multiple ports front and back. I then tried uninstalling USB Audio Device drivers, then when I plug the mic in, it installs everything again. It does it all successfully, no errors, but then it doesn't give me a working mic.I made a video demonstrating the problem.
I'm having a problem with my Desktop icons. All standard Windows 7 icons are completely visible, but after I install any software, new icons are only half visible.
Just upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows XP. Got everything set up and turned on. On bottom of desk top screen, are 4 icons start, ie, windows explorer, & windows media player. But only half of the icons can be seen, the other half disappears. Would like to see all of these 4 icons in full. Can't figure out how to fix it.Talked to 4 different people at Geek Squad phone tech support, none of them knows how to fix it.
I came home and set up a dual monitor for my computer, mainly so I can still do things on the 2nd monitor whilst playing a game. Half way through trying to figure out how I could get things where I wanted them my left ALT key decided to stop allowing me to alt+tab. If I hold it down it gives me the little window that allows me to switch between my programs, but it won't actually go to them it just stays stuck on that selector. Makes no sense to me due to if the ALT key was dead I wouldn't be able to get half way through alt+tabbing correct?Anyways, it also stopped working as my push-to-talk on my Teamspeak 3 Client. Again, thought maybe the key was bad BUT it still works as a push-to-talk on my Mumble client.
recently i bought a new mobo and CPU. now that everything is installed its telling me i have 16GB of ram installed, but only 8GB are usable.... here is my new processor, AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor here is the new mobo..ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS?G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory its the same type of ram i have now.. i'm noticing that on the mobo, unlike my old mobo, the slots are different ----alternating---- colors.. where my old board the colors were paired together.... should i be placing the ram in a certain way?
Suddenly, I am getting half greyed out images when I click on a thumbnail. Had 25 out of 67 on a card I just uploaded and thought it was a corrupted card but just tried to open an image from several months ago and the same thing happened - only get the top half of the image. Not always half, might only be a third.
Why does Aero snap cut off half the Windows Media player 12 video? -dual sreen display is not on. Example: When i snap videos up or to the left it maximizes.
I have 8GB of memory installed (GA-P55M-UD4 and Xeon X3440), but in the System information it says only 4GB is usable, and when I go to resmon, it shows that 4GB is "Hardware Reserved". I don't have any special settings, but seems like too much is lost somewhere. Any help would be appreciated!
So I just upgraded my home-made vista home premium machine to windows 7 home premium. When I got into windows 7 for the first time, everything was as expected (only a couple of incompatible programs but nbd). My desktops icons were all still there and like I mentioned most of my programs were still running just fine. Then, late at night when I was fooling around with some files (either deleting stuff or trying to update drivers or something) I noticed my desktop refreshed and came back with nearly half the icons it had before. When I searched for those programs that the deleted icons executed, they were still in my computer but some of there icons had been changed to the windows default one, which sorta looks like a page with the top right corner bent in and a little M$ Window opened.
I have been getting BSODs here and there ever since I put this computer together in August 2010. It's become intolerable and I am just so sick of it...I am running full retail Home Premium x64 on this platform:MSI 890GXM-G65 mainboardAMD Phenom II X4 BE 965 Deneb4x OCZ AMD Black Edition RAM 2GB (clocked at 1066 with 7-7-7-21 timings (factory default)) 8GB totalXFX 650W PSU*XFX 5850 GPU (HD-585X-ZNFC, 725mhz/1GB DDR5)1TB WDC HDD*Graphics card recently crapped out, system would no longer POST with it hooked in. Running on an ancient PNY NVIDIA 7600GT back-up...The Windows installation is approximately 7 months old, I have tried reinstalling three times to remedy the situation to no avail. I gave up on re-installation as a cure. The most common cause seems to be simply being IDLE. As in, I'm not even at the chair interacting with the computer.
Firefox (up-to-date) crashes ALL THE TIME - usually having to do with Flash Player corruption. Reinstalled Flash, reinstalled FF. No difference. IE9 is a bit more stable but also crashes (albeit not fully, so I use it more often than FF).I don't have dump files that reference it but atikmpag.sys was often the "culprit" of many of my BSODs prior to the card crapping the bed. In fact it even caused a crash after the card was replaced with the old 7600GT, at which point I uninstalled everything ATI. There hasn't been a BSOD pointing to it since.
I get all kinds of Flash corruption, pixelation, and lag when a BSOD is imminent - some of the time. 3D gaming however, is typically stable. Skyrim for instance, ran well until the GPU misfortune.I have tried lots of RAM manipulation (Timings, Voltage, whatever) and it just makes things worse when I stray away from the factory defaults. I believe there is a limitation with my series of CPU in using 4 DIMMS - the memory controller can't handle speed above 800mhz or 1066mhz or something. I forget exactly what. But I am using 4 modules, so I have gone by what I read and this fixed ATI driver hang-ups (hang -> black screen -> "ATI driver stopped responding and has recovered) I was having in a different game a while back (Vindictus).
Windows Memory Diagnostic has never returned a problem with the RAM. Memtest didn't either the last time I tried. Admittedly this was a while ago, but like my title states, I have been having these problems since basically day one of this build.pologies if I have omitted anything that could be of use. I have put this off for a long time and am quite frustrated. I have read about 50 threads with similar BSOD error codes and still haven't gotten anything useful so maybe my problem needs a specific
This has been an ongoing issue with my computer only waking from sleep half the time. The other half I need to actually power cycle my machine in order for it to wake. I know when it is going to wake properly because I hear the DAC on my Asus Xonar Essence STX Sound Card click on and if it's not going to work obviously I don't hear the click.I have tried the following:
- Complete system rebuild with new hard drives, reinstall of windows
- All drivers updated and bios updated (I have been through a fair few driver updates because this has been an issue for over a year)
- New Memory installed
- Played with as many power settings in the bios as possible
I am really starting to think it is a hardware issue with either my motherboard or video card but don't have a spare of each of these and don't want to buy new stuff just to test it.
Here are my Specs:
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V Pro CPU: Intel i7 2600 Video Card: Gigabyte 6950 (in eyefinity with 3 Monitors) Sound Card: Asus Xonar Essence STX HDD: 2 x 240GB Sandisk Extreme SSD (Raid0) Memory: Kingston Hyper X 4x4GB (16GB Total) PSU: Seasonic X Series 750w Monitors: Samsung MD230x3 (3x23") 2 connected via DVI and 1 via DisplayPort
As mentioned the hard drives and memory were replaced so it can't be either of those. Also it can't be any settings because it does wake via my keyboard/mouse half the time. It is also hard to troubleshoot as it may work 3 times ok and even wake form sleep overnight but then I could leave it for 30 mins come back and it won't wake that time, there is no pattern that I can make out, not sure what else I can do to troubleshoot this but it is really annoying as my computer gets a lot of use and would rather put it to sleep than continually turn it off and on.
