Windows 7 Missing Realtek's 'Speaker' After Transporting PC?
Apr 7, 2012
I transported my PC from The Netherlands to Argentina in a suitcase. When I arrived I noticed that the processor's cooler was loose but so far the computer was in one piece. In order to place the cooler again and protecting the mobo I had to take apart the mobo. When I try my pc everything was working but suddenly I noticed that Windows 7 doesn't detect anymore the "Speaker" interface, only the Realtek Digital Output.Did I forget some cable to plug (don't think so)? lose cooler damaged mobo?It is a Gigabyte EP-45 UD3, It's a self-assembled pc.Already tried latest drivers and erasing it and re-detecting it in the device manager.
So yesterday I bought these quadrophonic speakers from a friend. The problem is, that only front right is working (everywhere- in test, windows sound, music, games etc.)... I thought that the other speakers might be bad, switched them but no- now when the FR speaker is the different one, it is still working and the others are not... I plugged the green wire in the green socket, the black one (rear) in the black socket, confirmed it in the realtek manager (front speakers, rear speakers)... I tried setting it to other mods (5.1, 7.1), its the same, only front right speaker is working... I downloaded the newest driver (2.52 or whats the newest one) both from gigabyte and realtek...When I plug the green wire in my notebook headphones socket, both speakers work ok (I have Windows 7 ultimate on my notebook to, but the sound card is not realtek hd)...
[code] So I bought a new computer not too long ago and I've had some issues with my headset and whatnot. I have a ASUS Xonar DX sound card with an optic fibre cable for my Logitech Z-5500 system and they worked just fine with it.However, when I bought my headset (Steelseries 7H Fnatic, normal non-USB) I had issues. When I plugged them into my motherboard it couldn't find them. And when I tried to plug them into my Xonar card, people I was skyping with could hear my sounds (videos I watched etc) even though I had earplugs. So I removed the card and decided I'd go with the normal drivers etc. So I checked ASUS website and got the drivers.I installed the drivers (Xonar drivers uninstalled clean before) and it asks me to reboot. I reboot and I get the message: "No speakers or headphones are plugged in." from the system tray. I run dxdiag and no sound card is detected (it's just empty where there should be driver names etc). In the control panel there is no Realtek option etc. When I check the folder it only has 2 folders:Drivers and InstallShield. They contain files named RtlUpd64 (application), USetup.iss and the InstallShield contains Rtkupd64 (application).
I uninstalled/reinstalled and rebooted etc several times but I never get it in the control panel or the system tray. BIOS etc are the lastest for my motherboard, and I never had this issue before. In BIOS the settings are to HD audio. I'm pretty sure I haven't screwed up the assembly of the computer, because I've been building my own for a very long time. In the control panel I can currently see "Digital Audio (HDMI)" 2 through 5 (2,3,4,5) and they're not plugged in it says. On recording there is nothing.
I recently purchased DELL N5050 laptop. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate OS on it. I installed all the drivers required from this link: url...But whenever i play any media (viz., audio/video), only front-right speaker sound playing can be heard. The front-left speaker does not work. Its a brand new laptop. I tried re-installing all the drivers (which i thought may not have been installed properly).
I have a problem locating my Realtek Hd Audio Manager, I have read through many posts such as updating your drivers, uninstalling then re-installing, restarting your computer, make sure to check my BIOS, check in control panel, things like that.
And in conclusion I think I have 2 possible explanations, the first one is that the current driver (updated) doesn't support the realtek hd audio manager? (I read on someone else's post that he had to rollback/downgrade his drivers for his audio manager to appear.
My last solution is... that I don't even have the Realtek Hd Audio manager chip on my motherboard? Possible Nvidia Hd Audio? Because I have 4 Nvidia Hd Audios, and only 1 Realtek.
This is what i'm using, Newegg.com - SONY VPCF116FX/B NoteBook Intel Core i7 720QM(1.60GHz) 16.4" 4GB Memory DDR3 1333 500GB HDD 7200rpm BD Combo NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
I have no "port reassignment" options with my realtek HD system , its a Realtek ALC890 - 8 Channel HD audio Codec. Anyone else not got this option? , i need to resign my output because the black REAROUT is giving me distortion through my rears.
i have downloaded realtek hd audio driver R2.67 from realtek website. but i need realtek hd audio manager. is realtek audio driver and manager are same?
I have recently installed windows 7 32bit OS. after installation i checked speaker test all 6 speakers are playing, but when i play any music only 2 speakers will work. kindly suggest me what can i do for updates.
I boght a soeaker 5.1 channel and I found later after 3 weeks of trying to connect it with my win 7-64 is there was no SPDIF port. However, I will post pic for my pc and my TV and the speaker so you can tell me how I connect them and if I need to buy adapterThis is my TV it is Sceptre 32 LEDI am using HDMI Now this is my Speaker from Acoustic AA 5102This came with bad manual, it is only says were it is says DVD audio input, I should connect it to my DVD. I do not have DVD, and also for the two top AUX input its says that for PC. This is my PC, I am using gig 990fxa-ud5 and it is supporting 5.1
For now I want to say some thing, when I use this caple ( I have 3 oh this and i connect it ith my pc were Green and Orange and Black) from my speaker to my PC( in the speaker were its says AUX audio input L and R)I can go and set up my speaker to 5.1 so I can hear all the speaker work but, they all the same I dont feel any different. However, if I went to my PC audie settieng to check if I am using 5.1, I see I am using 2.1 but still the sounds come from all the speaker because of the speaker itself can change the audio but as I said this is not a 5.1 it is 2.1 because when I test it from my PC for 5.1 I only I can hear the right and left work. WhenI do the test and my right and left works as if the pc telling me, my speakers all of them work as if they are just right and left. So. since my speaker do not have SPDIF is there is a way to make it work ? I do not want to buy a DVD just to connect my speaker to it and then from the DVD to my TV.
I have a new install of Windows 7 (OEM Home Premium). The PC formally was used for Windows XP. The hard drive became corrupted and I figured if I was going to replace the HD anyways, I may as well upgrade to Windows 7. Under XP I had no issues with the on board sound card. The install went very smoothly except for the sound. The Playback Devices screen only lists Digital Audio (HDMI) and Digital Audio (S/PDIF) as possible devices. I'm trying to enable ordinary speakers. I downloaded the Win7 version of the the ATI Hight Def Audio Device drivers (I was using the XP version before the corruption issue). They appear to install fine but after the reboot, there is no sign of the drivers anywhere.
I recently updated my GATEWAY MT 6831 with Windows 7 and my speakers do not work. I have tried everything and cannot figure this out. There is a red x over the speaker icon but disappears when I plug in my headphones. I tried downloading the SigmaTel 9250 drivers but they are for VISTA only and will not install. And when i slowly pull my headphone jack out, the speakers will try to kick on. So I don't think its a driver issue. I've already done the obvious ones so please dont repeat control panel.
I suddenly noticed no sound from the rear speakers. (5+1) W7 64.I have creative XI-FI elite pro. The creative test would give a faint garbled sound from the rear spekaers, so I know the wiring is connected. However in windows the test sounds are totally off. All obvious settings are as supposed to be.I did run combofix a few weeks ago, and then I made a windows system restore.
I just installed Windows 7 on my home computer. When I plug in my old speakers (Creative Intrigue 2.1s) whatever speaker is plugged into the right jack BARELY gets any sound. I did some research and it seems this is a semi common problem. I tried messing with all the balance levels and hooked up an old set of speakers which work fine. I also tried switching speakers and whichever is in the right audio jack barely works while the other works fine. The only other thing I was able to find was someone said they got a "new" cord and it fixed their problem. Is there a cord that would work with Windows Vista but wouldnt work with Windows 7?
We have Windows 7 at church and we run DVD's where we only use the right speaker, to take out the vocals. WE could do this in XP, but can we do it in Windows 7 and how?
I recently upgraded from xp to win7 home ed. Now when the system boots and the speakers work fine, however; after the system id for 30min or so the speaker drivers disappear. It does not matter if any apps r running or not.
I currently use an old Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card in my system. Worked wonders under XP (What didn't, honestly) and upgraded recently to Windows 7. My sound in Windows 7 works great, all speakers emit their proper sound in their proper positions and when I play games, I can hear everything like I did in XP. Someone sneaking up from behind has no clue that I can actually hear them. -.- Anyways, to my point...
Front Left becomes Rear Right, Center Becomes Front Left, Front Right Becomes Center, Rear Right Becomes Front Right My Rear Left Makes No Sound And Sub Becomes non-existant!
This all happens just after a quick *Pop*, and suddenly someone speaking dialogue in front of me sounds like he is behind me! The only way I have found to fix it is to open my Creative console (I use Game Mode (Entertainment proves just as problematic)), set my speaker configuration to 2.1, then set it back to 5.1 and the sound works properly again! But, wait about another half hour, *Pop*, back to messed up configuration.I have an XP partition, works fine under it with no sound re-arrangement,Figured It was my speakers, Bought a new set, does the same thing.I've checked the cables: Everything is as they should be and placed correctly Does this in OLD and NEW games, as well as iTunes and WMP.
I am not sure if this is a Windows 7 problem but it seems to have occurred since I upgraded. Whenever I am speaking on Skype or listening to a video the speaker volume slowly decreases on the volume bar until it reaches zero. I have tried searching in control panel to make sure all the correct boxes are ticked but cannot resolve the problem.
I have a computer with external active speakers connected to the 3.5mm phone plug. I'm using win 7 32-bit and when I start my computer the speaker starts to make strange sounds, almost sounds like an old modem. I have disabled the start-up sound since I don't want that, the noise is there until I do anything with the sound driver, or so it seams. If I for example I play a sound or even mute/enable the cd volume the sound stops and don't come back until the next time the computer is started. I have had the computer on for a long time without doing anything and the sound don't stop until I do something with any sound or sound setting.
Additional things I have tried so far to fix the problem but not succeeded:
1. I have been into BIOS and the sound does not start in BIOS, it is when windows is starting the sound starts.
2. Re-installed driver
3. Tried to set the register DrvAzComIdlePowerState and a few more to 00 00 00 00.
I accidentally deleted my speaker and now i don't know how to get the sound back.If i go to the "control panel" then "Hardware and Sound" then double click on the icon sound. I can see only headphones under the tab "Playback". There is no speaker under this tab.Could you please help me get the speaker back and thus the sound.I went to start menu then right click on computer then "manage" then "services and applications" then "services" to see if windows audio was stopped. it was not but I restarted "Windows Audio" &"Windows Audio Endpoint Builder" to see if I could get the sound back. But the sound didn't come back.
I downloaded and installed windows 7 from the microsoft site, now my sound won't work. I tried updating it but nothing. I have the latest realtek drivers AC'97 audio and the high definition audio in the device manager but both have a yellow exclamation mark next to them. Then when I click on it, it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
Any help? School starts in a week and a half and i need audio for classes. What can I do?
For a long time i have ignored a problem with my laptop which is a Acer Aspire 5739G, and that is i hear crackling from my speaker on the laptop itself and speakers i plug into my laptop. It's getting a little annoying due to i listen to music from when i get up to i go to sleep and i have some spare time right now so i thought why not try to fix it. Hope someone knows how to fix it or else point me to what may be making this noise, because i have tested a few things and i know it isn't any programs due to i deleted processes so i only had like 7 in the entire list
