I am on an aspire one netbook and can no longer connect to the internet via wireless or a wired connection. I typed ipconfig/all in command prompt and all I got was..:
Host name:
Primary Dns Suffix:
Node Type: Broadcast
IP Routing Enabled: No
WINS Proxy Enabled: No
I do have a desktop and when I ipconfig/all this is what comes up
C:Documents and SettingsAdministrator>ipconfig/all
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name: your-9k1ay6x2a2
Primary Dns Suffix:
Node Type: Hybrid
IP Routing Enabled: No

I recently had a sound problem on the internet in google chrome ( no sound at all although the system sound worked fine). Installed shockewave and reinstall chrome on my pc and reboot my pc all remotely. At this stage my problem with chrome was not solved (although the sound in Explorer and firefox worked). After the remote reboot I could not reconnect to the internet. The local area connection status shows that ipv4 & 6 is not connected anymore.
I tried to turn on and off my network adapter, turn off my firewall and connect my pc directly to my cable modem( instead of being connected to my cisco 4200 v2 router) but nothing! I also tried to restart the DNS Client service and the DHCP client service: still nothing. The windows troubleshoot indicate a problem with the network adapter driver but I doubt it. I am running windows 7 ultimate.

I'll try my best to explain all the issues clearly.from very above downto the third line are:IPv4 connection : not connected (Not OK, it wasn't like that)IPv6 connection : not connected (No public IPv6 connection in China, this is OK)Media State: connectedBut as you can see below, network is OK (Yeah, it seems that). The problem is, this ADSL connection is not showed in 'Avtive Networks'.Most online activities are OK, but somw applications like EA Origin are malfunctioned(I'm sure it is because of the problem in network connection)I've tried reset my winsock, LSP, netsh int ipv4,also reinstalled drivers. All above didn'you may wanna have a look at my Network and Share Center. Here it comes.Area 1 shows that there is no active networks except a 'unidentified network'(this refers to Local Area Conncetion. Since I don't neither have a router nor use LAN, that don't matter). When ADSL was OK, I got a active ADSL network there.

I am using Windows 7 Pro and I can't access the Internet My IPv4 is working but I get this:
IPv4 : Internet
IPv6: No Internet Access
But when I open Browser I get white page but on vBulletin forums I get a 404 error on Every Forum site I go to. So I have a laptop, my brothers computer, xbox360, and my own pc all connected wired to the same router. Recently my PC is unable to get any internet at all from anything, even though it says:
ipv4 internet
ipv6 no internet access
It shows I am receiving and sending packets but not very often. All my other computers on my network except my one PC, I thought maybe it was my integrated network card on the computer but it seems I am not the only one who has had this problem.

I have a QNAP NAS and several devices (mostly Windows 7 and iOS devices)The vast majority of my networking setup seems OK - however on one Windows 7 laptop I am having problems. The Laptop can 'see' remote shares, access the Internet and ping other devices on the network - however remote devices cannot ping the laptop. Whilst trying to ascertain what could be the cause I thought that I would ping 'localhost' on the laptop - after all, it should be able to see itself!

I have a desktop that is connected to my Belkin router via wire. I have 3 laptops that are all connected to the router wirelessly. All computers have Windows 7 64bit and synched clocks. All are connected to a Home network. All 3 laptops detect that a Homegroup has been created on the wired desktop. I'm using the correct Homegroup password. All computers have discovery on. All computers have IPv4 and Ipv6 running. All services are running. Everything else I've read and tried regarding troubleshooting this issue haven't worked. All computers can see each other on the Network, but can't connect to the Homegroup.

Restarting sometimes helped, but disconnecting from the wireless network or rebooting the network adapter didn't help(atheros ar9285). If i go under status in available wireless network it says i have not connected to ipv4 or ipv6. I get this message even when i can get on the net. If i press details nothing shows up. i have pinged Google and have 0% loss he is my ipconfig /all

I'm running windows 7 64 bit and I'm having a strange internet issue. This has happened to me before and I've only been able to solve by doing a system restore but I figure there has got to be a much better way to solve this problem. In the bottom right hand corner beside the clock there is a little icon that resembles a little monitor (I'm no brilliant tech person so a lot of this is going to sound stupid probably) right now it shows a little yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it. When I hover over it with my mouse it says Network Connected and then No Internet Access. This is where it gets strange. I am able to connect to pretty much any website when I open my browser. Now I like to play online games and I recently got BF3. And as some of you may know you need to go through "Origin" in order to play it. Well when I connect to the Origin "library" it tells me I'm offline and basically tells me I won't be able to play multiplayer. But as I said earlier I am able to access the internet for the most part. This issue has been happening well before I got BF3 too.
So I've done everything I can possibly think of. I've emptied my cache, cookies, etc. I have also done the "IPCONFIG/ ALL" thing. Rebooted the modem and the computer. done any system updates. I have also turned my firewall off briefly and tried that. It only seems to work when I do a System Restore and I really don't want to be doing that every time I have this problem. I have troubleshooted it as well.

I started getting the problem where my laptop would connect to the network but there would be no internet access. I tried many of the suggestions that I found online, like flushing the dns and resetting the tcp/ip but none of them seemed to work. The only thing that I have been able to get to work is doing a system restore to the day before it began to happen. However, the next day when i swich on my laptop again I have the same problem so I have to restore again. Obviously doing a system restore everytime i want to use my laptop isn't ideal.I can't figure out what is doing this. At first I thought it was a windows update but I disabled all updates after one of my restores and it did not make any difference. I also have mcafee installed and disabled anything within that that I thought could have been an issue. As far as I can see I have not changed or installed anything after the system restores that would cause this problem to arise each time I start up my laptop.

I've been searching this forum and other resources for days now with no luck. I'm connected to our apartment's wireless network, but about a week ago I found the infamous yellow triangle and "No Internet Access." I was going along fine for about a month and this came out of nowhere've tried every imaginable ipconfig command that has been suggested, including flushdns, ipreset, all the winsock commands, etc. I've tried resetting everything: modem, router, laptop... I've tried enabling/uninstalling my wireless adapter, changed my TCP/IPv4 settings, used trusted DNS settings, the whole 9 yards. I've renamed my computer, deleted the network profile, deleted my computers profile on the router, booted on safe mode, you get the picture.

We set up three new terminals this week at the office; they're all running Win 7 Pro 32-bit. I set them all up simultaneously (literally sat at a desk and entered the same keystrokes at each of them), so I don't see any obvious reason that one is behaving differently from the other two. The essential problem is that the terminal doesn't see the Internet.
Here are all the particulars that I think might be interesting, listed in no particular order:
- The terminal ran fine for several hours. Email access, Internet access, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. At that point, the user called me to show me a dialog box. I used System Restore to go back in time to 9 a.m. in case the user had somehow managed to do anything (though she's not an admin).
- IPv6 is disabled.
- The workplace uses Static IPs. The IP address is entered correctly in the IPv4 properties (x.x.x.213), but at cmd / ipconfig, I get this result: "Autoconfiguration IPv4 address: 169.254.95.187"
- In Network and Sharing Center, the network (which is only known as Unidentified Network) is set to type Public. When I reset it to type Work and reboot, it resets to type Public.

I have a brand new desktop running Win 7 64 bit and a laptop running Win 7 Ultimate.
The laptop uses IPv4 to connect, verified via ipconfig. The desktop uses IPv6. Each can see one another on the network, but cannot access one another. If I uncheck IPv4 on the laptop, I can then access the desktop PC, but cannot surf the internet. Once I click it back on, I lose access to the desktop.
I have tried connecting to both with and without homegroups enabled, but I think it's the IPv4 on the laptop that's causing the issue.
How can I get these two to play nice? The laptop hooked up wirelessly with an Aetheros AR5007EG adapter via Realtek PCIe FE Ramily controller. Can I force the laptop to use IPv6 somehow?

Quote: The move to Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) could have a profound affect on the Internet, breaking it up into islands of connectivity and threatening cybersecurity in the process, according to Jeff Young, a senior analyst at the Burton Group.
As the IPv4 free address pool continues to dwindle, enterprises can expect to see IPv6-only hosts on the Internet within a three-year timeframe, Young said. In the report, "IPv4 Address Exhaustion: An Inconvenient Truth," Young addresses the incompatibility of IPv4 and IPv6 and some of the problems that need to be addressed during the changeover.

I have been messing with my daughter's computer (Sony Vaio VGN-CS320J with Windows 7 professional) for days now and cannot connect to the wireless network that our other two laptops running Vista work fine on. This all started when my router went wonky and I had to go buy another power adapter for it. For some reason (I realize this is illogical.) I've been unable to get her back to our wireless network since then. Things I've tried:
1. Unplugged, reset both router and modem probably 50 times.
2. Connected her laptop directly to the router and confirmed the router settings that way.
3. Uninstalled wireless adapter (Intel Wi-Fi link 5100 AGN) and let startup re-install (numerous times)
4. Downloaded and installed latest drivers for said adapter
5. Copied my network settings from working laptop to the one that won't connect.
6. Deleted the network and recreated it (numerous times)
7. Tried to ping router unsuccessfully. (general failure)
8. System restore to a few different dates when said laptop WAS connecting.
9. Reset all the router settings via 192.168.1.1 (New name, SSID, key, etc.)Then created new network on non-connecting laptop with new settings.
I can see the wireless network, that's not the issue. However, I can't connect to it. I ran ipconfig/all and the adapter is listed as "media not connected". I'm using WPA2-personal for security if that matters. The only other think I can think of that it may be would be her antivirus software causing an issue. But then again, she had the same software installed and running a week ago and it wasn't an issue.

i have a problem with my internet. Not sure if its my laptop or my internet. But when i turn on my laptop the internet works for a couple min. or hours or so then after that there will be a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark in the middle. Not sure why that happens. But if you guys have ideas that i can try out then that would be great! I tried /release & /renew but that didn't do anything. Also disabled and enabled the network adapter but that didn't work either. I am using a Ralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter.(If that helps with anything) I am using a windows 7 hp laptop. If you guys have anyway to fix this then please tell me! Its been like that after 5 weeks i got my laptop.

During this time the internet is unavailable.

Recently purchased a new hp envy 14 beats edition, I am unable to get access to the internet. My network sharing center tells me i am connected to the internet, but right below it says "no internet access" and my wireless connection strength bar on the bottom right hand side has a exclamation mark inside a yellow triangle on it. I have another windows 7 computer, 2 smart phones and Xbox live running on this connection with no issues. I have tied the new HP at my parents house along with several friends and the same thing happens. It will connect occasionally but for no longer than 5-8 minutes getting worse if i try to stream or download. (Does this on my wireless as well)All software and hardware updates have been done every update possible including firmware for my modem (there wasn't one but i verified). I sent the computer back to hp for them to change the wireless card, but when i got it back to confirm the work had not been done. So in frustration i demanded a new computer and got one.
To my unpleasant surprise right out of the box the new laptop (same exact model and specs) had the EXACT same problem...Now i do still have the original laptop as well, because i refuse to return it until my problem is fixed. Both laptops connect and function flawlessly to the internet when i connect through an ethernet cable. I have also tried different browsers as well with still no luck (explorer and google chrome)
