I have Dell inspiron Model laptop with window 7. Whenever I install new window 7 in my laptop, first of all it works rightly, then after some days when i use window media player with other application or software, its speed gets slow and it hangs. After that it shuts down and whenever i want to start it, it starts with recovery set up. This recovery setup runs all the day but have no any effect or not start. So what would be the reason? Is it related to window & problem or hard disk problem of my laptop

I am running Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron 17R laptop. Inside the program "Dell Support Center" it tells me that BITS - Demand Started to Auto Started. I don't know what BITS is. It runs in the System Services. Should I disable the BITS?
Whenever I search in Windows 7, I want to have the ability to open found folders in a new window. If I r-click, that option is not there. Is there a way to add this to Windows 7?
Also: When I go to 'open file location', the file's folder opens in the same window - highly annoying. In Vista, it opens in a new window. Anyway to change this behvior in Windows 7 to act like Vista, so the file opens in a new window?
I am running into an issue where I can open a window/program with my mouse however once the window is open I cannot click inside of it. The window becomes inactive. I also have noticed I cannot right click on my desktop to bring up the properties. I can right click on the window in the task bar to close it but not in the window. Since this is happening I am limited to command prompt. I ran sfc /scannow with no errors. I tried with 3 different mice. I booted the computer into safe mode with command prompt and brought up the device manager to show devices not in use, and when the device manager window opened I could click inside it! since I could use the window I uninstalled all mouse drivers, and reinstalled my microsoft wireless usb mouse driver.. while in this safe mode I changed my mouse properties to system default as I read somewhere that can reset things. Next I booted the computer in safe mode (without command prompt) and still the same thing. I was trying to do a restore point as well however my Kaspersky antivirus 2012 is preventing that as i cannot find a way to kill the program through command prompt.
I'm Running Windows 7(64bit)Each time I boot into Windows 7 Prem (64) a open window apears requesting my username at the top of the open window to specify a a program to open it?I've clicked on note pad and I get the following information that apears, each time though it requests, or looks for a program to use to open.
I had to post this here because nothing from the sections indicated to me where to put it instead of here: my IE started to become slow and I think my Microsoft Security Essentials is connected in some way (or it's something else, and that's connected to what's going on to these two). My IE started to act slow today, to the point where it was only easy to close it, but not work it (searches, sites). Now it seems okay, but I still have no clue on what to do if it happens again.Next is my Microsoft Security Essentials; it's been acting funny since last night. I did a quick scan, and most was done until it stopped at

when i start the windows 7 install, it takes forever at the loading windows screen, thn goes to a blank screen with just a cursor on it. it wont even start the install screen. i have to install windows7, because anytime you unplug my computer when its on, it corrupts the os so it wont start. and the cord got caught in the sweeper and unplugged.
For some reason today my computer has started to blue screen every so often.I don't know why really but this is the information that was given to me Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033
this is actually a fairly common problem for people right now apparently, but the steam forums aren't any help thought I might pick a few brains here. The first time you start steam the log in always fails. The second time you start steam it logs in just fine. This appears to happen regardless of if it's set to start with windows or not. I've already played with most the network or environment variables that could be causing it. Just looking for other ideas at this point.
The other day I got home and I heard this screech. I followed the noise to my computer. I've had this computer for about a year and a half and I've never had this problem before. I shut it down, opened the case and used canned air to clean the fans. Then i rebooted and the noise was gone. Tonight out of nowhere, the fan started screeching again. I checked the cpu temp on the thermometer on the case of the computer and cpu temp was normal at 32 degrees C. I turned the computer so it had more air and blew in it and the fan stopped making noise. I Dled CPUID Hardware Monitor and it looks like all the temps are fine. The fans are running at 1339 - 1383 respectively. I have liquid cooling and a couple of fans and if it's not the CPU that's running hot, what else might it be?
I went through the installation process of Windows 7 Professional once, and then it began the process again after completing (I think) the first time. I am installing on a new, blank, hard drive on a Compaq Presario C700. I am currently back to the "Where do you want to install Windows?" page. The first time I had no partitions to select. Now I have two, the first says "Disk 0 Partition 1: System Reserved." The second says "Disk 0 Partition 2."
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit .I have ticked in Folder Options to open windows in same window but it won't work, the windows are opening in new window!

I have recently installed Windows 7 (32 bit) on my Acer M1640 desktop replacing Vista. After installing W7, the system worked fine for a couple of days and then it started freezing at start up, right when Windows logo is on the screen. My computer does not move ahead at all after this freeze. When I go to Safe mode, it starts loading files, but stops forever at system32/disks/sys. I reinstalled W7 for couple of times but same thing happened each time. My W7 installation on my other desktop is working so for good, without any problem.
When i did all the steps here also received bsod when first started the ram program(thats why ram suspicious)this is all the information zipped:no cpuz screenshot, instead a speccy reports.your forum software reportsand the info i posted on the other foruim.power supply: enermax 400 or 500Wall other info included.Hope i could resolkve it couse its very frustate.Other info:all the bsod's startted after buying razer deathrader mouse and installing its software.alsoi changed the screen resoulution in counter strike to widescreen 1680X1050
The usual utilities associated with ATI catalyst software, my Kaspersky security software, the weather channel app. But then this one started, and the only thing I could see on the taskbar looked like an open application such as Word - and a title of MyOleComputerWi..., and a small black square maybe two inches square on the screen. This ran for approximately 3-5 seconds.
i left home for a few days over thanksgiving, and when i came back i found that my computer was behaving oddly. i built the computer myself only this may?
first, the specs:
cpu: intel core i5-2500 3.30 ghz (quad-core) ram: 4 gb mobo: asrock p67 extreme gpu: ati radeon 5770 1g hdd: seagate momentus xt st95005620as 500gb 7200 rpm 32mb cache 2.5" sata 3.0gb/s with ncq solid state hybrid drive [url]
basically, what is happening is that the computer will frequently hang for one, two, or even three seconds while performing basic tasks. i first noticed it while watching videos on Internet, and now its very obviously happening with everything i do on the computer. the computer had been performing wonderfully up until that point; it just developed this problem all of a sudden.
heres a breakdown of the performance issues that ive noticed:
startup: startup seems to take longer to get from power off to desktop.
watching streaming video: the video will frequently freeze for a couple of seconds, but the audio will continue as normal.
clicking: when i hover over something with the mouse, it sometimes takes a second or two for the item to be highlighted. computer occasionally hangs when clicking on anything: a link, a program icon, etc.
scrolling: sometimes hangs when scrolling with mousewheel, even on pages with simple text.
opening programs: occasionally takes significantly longer to open than normal. program begins opening up but does so slowly.
closing programs: when i click to close a program such as a word document, it sometimes takes a second or two to begin closing when before it would do so instantaneously.
i bought arma II CO to play this famous mod called dayz. My first day of playing was fine but after the first day, my pc started to stop responding and shut down itself. I had to do a hard reboot. These happend after playing half an hour or so.After some time passed, computer started to give me bsods with often about nvlddmkm.sys or sometimes -rarely- PFN_LIST_CORRUPTED. After these bsods, i started to crash after 10 secs of play. have tried couple of things to solve these bsods such as reinstalling nvidia driver, removing some bad drivers but for no good. Latter however, seems to be fixed. I no longer receive that one. My specs as follows:CPU:Intel Core2Duo e7200 2.53 GHzVideo card:Nvidia 9800GTMotherboard:Gigabyte ep35-ds3rRam: 2x1 kingston 1gb 667 MHz and 1x1 kington 2gb 800 MHz Power Supply:Cooler Naster RS-500-PCAP-A3 OS:Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit sp1And this is the dmp file: 070112-42245-01.rar download - 2shared
I have gone through all of the suggested bsod fixes and still getting random freezing. I ran SF Diag. tool it pop'd up and error but still ran. I have attached .zip - not sure what else to do?
Recently, I have been leaving my PC on a windowed game that isn't really CPU/GPU intensive at all. First four days of leaving it on this game my PC was fine, it came through the night, however the past 3 nights my PC has crashed different times throughout the nights and all data I had on the game lost. I also have a memdump from a program called WhoCrashed, ill post below along with my system specs.
Microsoft Windows: 7 Ultimate 32bit Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 4GB DDR2 RAM
I had just done a fresh install on a new machine 15 days ago. I had registered my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit @ microsoft site. Now my system has virus @ the anti virus has started to act very strangely. telling me to re-inatall the Anti virus + Office 2007.If I do so will my OS be legal? My system is acting up strangely.
I'm just doing my usual thing today on my laptop and suddenly all these warnings started popping up from AVG (my AV) They keep asking me whether or not to let this EXE (see title) from having access to the internet. I let it but it still pops up. It's located in the Windows folder on the main hard-drive, but if I search "iqagoa.exe" in Google there's only TWO results, neither of which are related at all. What is it? Is it a virus? Can you see it in your Windows folder. If it makes any difference, it mainly popped up when I was using Photoshop. And yesterday I switched to MSE AV but then switched back to AVG as it was really slowing down my system...
I've searched the forum but most error text is different. Mine is simple.. It says Quote: Windows cannot start Diagnostic Policy Service on this local computer.
Error: 5 Access is denied I've tried multiple things however I cant get it fixed.. I tried system restore but system restore took 4 days and SURPRISINGLY, the restore failed..
In the last two weeks I have noted that my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit machine will boot, looks good and when I log into a user account the Desktop shows, without gadgets or icons and just sits that way for seemingly ever. Can't break in and must power down. I log into Start Normally and it will boot correctly. This has occurred usually in my user account and once on a rapid restart on the Owner account. I have used chkdsk to see if it is a physical problem. Out of my league but this hasn't occurred for 2 years and just intermittently occurring.
