Nov 29, 2012I want my kids to go to bed early, so I want the computer to shut down at a specific time but also wants that they are not able to restart it immediately. How can I achieve it. If I set a password, I would like them to use all the features of computer except to restart when it has auto shutdownm.

Jul 7, 2011Main computer is the office computer. Its a desktop that a person is constantly on and doing stuff. There are 3 others that need the same information and documents at any given time. These 3 people have their laptops that are constantly switching wifi hotspots. They need to change information sometimes, and need access to all of it any time. The way its setup now is 1 person is on the main computer, but when one of the three need to access it, they remotely log in and take control. Only one person can access the computer at a time. How do I set it up so all four of these people can access and change the files at the same time if they want? The main computer is being used constantly, but someone always needs a document or file while the main person is working on it. So it slows production when someone logs in.

Dec 14, 2011i'm running my sound through a line 6 kb37 interface and out through some studio monitors. however yesterday after having spotify on from 30 - 60mins the sound stopped, spotify crashed, i tried to restart and explorer.exe couldn't shutdown because it was stuck trying to play the logoff sound. i force restarted it and it turned into a bsod. today the same thing has happened after about 30mins of watching a film. the sound stopped and media player crashed. i tried to watch a Internet video after this and it wouldn't buffer it and crashed my browser. i checked my device manager and it said all my sound devices were working properly

I assume either my ISP/router is the issue or something else strange is going on. I tried changing my DNS server to the google ones as well as adding a server to my hosts file but it still returns the same error. Just curious what exactly the message means if it really is DNS related as hard-coding the IP into the internet time requester returns the same error.

Jan 14, 2011When I am using Windows Explorer, recently I've noticed that MPG files are showing inaccurate length of time and resolution.As an example, I have a 1 hour MPG [720 * 480 resolution] and Windows Explorer says the length is 173 hours, 37 minutes and 16 seconds! If I go into the Details tab from the Properties of the file, it claims the bit rate is 40kbps.
