Several days ago, while my computer is at sleeping condition, but hardware yellow switch light is't showing, so I hit the switch,it caused computer shout down, I restart computer, then I found the green light is not showing too, but side yellow light is blinking, what is the problem? and how to repair? My computer is still working in very good condition.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I switch user accounts the computer will start the switch and then lock up with a display message that says no signal on the monitor. It happens if the computer has been running for hours or only a couple of minutes. I have to shut the PC off and leave it off for 20-30 minutes. I can then restart and enter any user account. But if I try to switch user or logoff and pick a different user the whole cycle begins anew.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI shut down the computer but did not unplug it from the surge protector. We were messing with the main breaker box in the house.When i went to turn it back on nothing. Monitor work everything and else that is plugged in to the surge protector. Took the computer apart and opened and cleaned all dust out Plugged it back in and nothing. There is a green light on the back just under the plug which is lit up (Green) as it was before I took it a part. Can't say I remember weather or not it was lit previously. Check on line and suggestions are the power supply may be bad. However I can't seam to find out if the power supply would be bad would the green light be on, which seams to be connected to the power supply box.

Windows 7 and XP. When I use Windows 7 then my computer specially hard drive light stays on and mouse is busy and I have to restart my laptop however in my XP this problem is never seen. I also installed vista and deep formatted the hard drive but the problem still persists in windows 7. The system is normal but when I surf internet via mozilla or chrome. This problem arises. I have done everytrouble shooting I can chkdsk and everything but when I use chkdsk in my western digital harddrive, it says error. I am thinking its harddrive issue what do u say?

I like to have a home server running - but these days with all the beefed up hardware we could be talking of 200 - 300 watts running all day and night when I'm only logged on for maybe 30 mins a day.
If you take the number of people these days leaving computers running all the time thats a HUGE amount of "Wasted" energy to say nothing of adding to your electricity bills.
There must be some engineer out there who could design a really SMALL device which is connected to your router. When you accessed this it could power on your machine. This device would say consume only 5 watts or so -- still not zero but a HUGE improvement over having the computer powered on all the time.
Mind you these days in W. Europe - at least outside Germany whoever does Engineering anymore unfortunately. - A device like this however could make you HUGE bucks though.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy monitor exhibited signs of flickering during start-up, but only minor ones and would just stop at the 'Welcome' screen of windows so I didn't give it much thought. Iv'e been using it with the cpu the same time I bought the monitor.But after some time, the flickering got worse. It went from 1-2 second interval flickers to a whole 10 seconds of blackness before it showed anything.Now,Iv'e got a new cpu but still using the old monitor. After a day or so, the monitor exhibited the first symptoms of my first cpu, so I just dismissed it. But after a week, It got a hell worse, before I even start-up my computer, the monitor doesn't show Analog/Digital at the top-left corner of the screen. PLUS my cpu keeps restarting after I pushed the ON button after 10 seconds or so. Is the monitor responsible for the restart and what could be the reason for the flickering?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI had only used it for a day and then the next day it wouldn't even turn on. I have tried everything that I can think of to fix it. From unplugging it and plugging it back in, changing out the power cord with a different one, trying to plug it into a different location in the house, turning the surge protector on and off, etc. I opened the side up and everything seemed to be in place and nothing was obviously unplugged. We do have a warranty but when we called we got put on hold for an hour + and gave up. We will probably call them again Monday I just wondered if there was something else that I should try before calling it quits and switching the computer out completely.

And after a few second, maybe 2 to 3 or 4, it turn off itself again. When i press the power button myself, there is no more power. I cant turn it on.So, i do the same thing again. Soon as I touch any browser icon the rest of computer stops responding as well. It's only me on computer. Have virgin media security/ spyware/ virus protection. Tried CCleaner. After I switch user everything is fine.Additional info; On 16th October had great difficulty getting my emails from Yahoo. Sometimes sign-in box appeared without my security signature and different style of writing for browser remembered log-on details.

The computer turns on everything initiates like normal but the monitor wont turn on, im not getting any signal. There are no beep codes etc, also ive tried removing the little lithium battery to reset the bios and still nothing. Ive tried using a different monitor and its saying no signal.
