I am trying to install a WAMP on my laptop for work outside of my normal environment. My issue is i cannot get the WAMP to work and the icon is red, when i click on it i get an error.I have done the following:
1. removed ALL items that may be on port 80, which included Skype and TeamViewer.
2. I installed Apache 1st, ran a check with my localhost and it displays "It Works"
3. Installed PHP from PHP's site
4. Installed MySQL's workbench with success.
I tried to install the 64 bit WAMP since im running a 64 bit OS on my laptop. This didnt work, so i installed EVERYTHING, and tried the same process but with the 32 bit, still no go.Ive searched all forums and web videos with no luck.
I've been having problems with Wamp since the first time I installed which I also did today after uninstalling due to this error:The mysqli extension is missing. Please check your PHP configuration. <a href="Documentation.html#faqmysql" target="documentation"><img src="themes/dot.gif" title="Documentation" alt="Documentation" class="icon ic_b_help" /></a>,That error appears whenever I try to open phpMyAdmin from the Wamp tray menu. Anyone who has knowledge about this can fix this issue? Googling this doesn't necessarily provide the needed solution.
i just started with my new website; but running a localhost is not working out. Both wamp and Xxamp versions aren t running on both my Windows 7 Home Premium based computers. So I posted several weeks ago that my fan was about to go out in my HP DV7 laptop, and it finally stopped working completely. I have a small fan I a using to keep it cool. It appears to be doing the job for the most part. Depending on the time of day I get 32 degrees to a high of about 74 degree's in the hot part of the day.
My question is will this be alright, or is the internal fan being out and not pushing the air out going to be a problem? I will tell you one thing after calling HP and checking with local repair shops I won't be paying anyone to fix it and I am not sure if I can tackle this job myself or not. If I were to fix it myself don't I also have to put the heat sink (processor) stuff on there? (Not sure of the name of the stuff) And were do I get this stuff? So should I just wait and see if this small fan continues to work for me? Or jump in and try to fix it and create more problems! My fear is I will damage the mother board or something else trying to repair the $45.00 fan! Is it worth it? Or rock and roll with the $5.00 external Walmart fan Which could last days or years.
I am bummed as the laptop is only 1 1/2 years old. But I absolutely like all the options and design of my laptop!
I have a HP laptop and a custom built desktop both running Windows 7. I have both devices networked together and both share files through the Windows 7 Home Group or through my NAS. There are many times when I am on my laptop and want to switch over to my desktop or vice versa. My desktop has multiple displays which got me thinking about extended desktops. Is there any possible way to set up a connection between both computers so that a program or software that is installed on both computers could be dragged from the laptop screen over to my desktop screen?
i am facing the problem with hibernate before today when i hibernate laptop displays goes off but the laptop is still working and stop when the battery is empty and when again start the laptop it shows windows not shutdown properly and no BSOD ,error detail but now when i press hibernate system goes to sleep and when press any key or move the mouse system instantly show log on screen this is 2nd time 1 month ago same problem occurred but find no solution so ultimately i have to re-install the O.S but this problem occurred again.
My laptop has crashed on me and won't turn on. I desperately need a video from the Hard drive to upload tonight.. is there any way i can get the video from it ?
I have a pioneer blueray writer drive installed in my Sony Vaio laptop. I'm on holiday and brought some DVD's with me to watch in the evenings. I have watched several since arriving but tonight when I tried to play one nothing happened. I checked in device manager and it reports that the drive is working properly but when I checked device region I found that it was set to region 1 instead of region 2. When I try to switch to region 2 I get the following error message;"Unable to update region setting. The drive reports that it requires media of the destination region (region 2) so please insert appropriate media and try again." When I insert a region 2 DVD into the drive and click okay it asks if I'm sure I want to change to region 2, I click OK and I get the same error message as above. I have tried uninstalling the drive and then rebooting the computer to force Windows 7 to reinstall it but it just comes up the same as it was. Any idea how to get this working again?

The internal keyboard and touch pad of my laptop have stopped working suddenly. The laptop was running but I did not use it for maybe 5 minutes. Then the touch pad and the keyboard did not do anything anymore. Rebooting did not help. I use external devices now.In the device manager the devices are only shown when hidden devices are displayed. Both devices have a yellow exclamation point and error code 24 in details (device not present or not working). Replacing the drivers with a compatible one does not help. windows XP: Laptop Keyboard Not Working?
My laptop has currently been experiencing random BSODs while using Google Chrome, Visual Studio 2010, Windows Media Player, and iTunes. Sometimes I get them like 2 times a day, sometimes none at all. Here are some additional information:

I am trying to use my laptop as an alarm clock for waking up in the morning. I put the laptop in sleep mode at night, and none of the alarm clock programs that I have tried have succeeded in waking it. I am able to wake it manually by pressing the power button. Wake timers have been enabled and hybrid sleep is disabled. It is an NP5125 from Sager.
I recently wiped my laptop clean and reinstalled with windows 7 and the driver for my built-in microphone is not showing up and I can not use my microphone in any program. I've tried updating everything.

right now I'm currently trying to find out whats wrong with a keyboard that is on a laptop, after the computer starts there are some script errors, I don't know exactly what they are but I ran combo fix without safe mode and restarted the scripts went away...and it started working after restarting a couple times it started to work then restarted more the scripts came back and the keyboard stopped, even in safe mode but after five or so minutes the keyboard was able to type again, I checked the device managers and everything is update and no error, I ran a combo fix and have the report if you guys want to see it let me know, Its an HP DV6 series with 64-bit windows 7 OS, I'm stumped I have no idea whats up, I'm ready to just put in the recovery disks and see whats up, but he has like 250 gigs worth of files Games etc, Can I back it up to a hard drive and install go back to where it was normally or can that be a problem?
Last night my HP laptop was working just fine with zero issues. Today I turned it on and my keyboard didn't work and also saying that no battery was detected. Now if I turn it on with a power cord attached I can remove the power cord and the laptop stays turned on, I can also shut the lid and the laptop will stay powered on. However if I use the shut down function or turn it off by the power switch it will not power back up without the power cord attached. The keyboard just refuses to work none of the keys work. No fn key no alt key no ctrl key nothing. I can't turn wireless on or off using the F key, however the on-screen keyboard works fine, and so does a keyboard that is plugged in through usb.I have checked the drivers which says it is working properly, I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, which didn't fix it.I Googled this problem and read that a bios update might fix this, I updated it and nothing as well as doing the usual virus and malware scans with the likes of malwarebytes and MSE.
