View 1 RepliesWe have been having a problem the past month with our computers at work or network at work. When we try www.facebook.com on any computer on any browser even if we are on a wireless device we get this error:The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. We tried looking it up on google and try multiple things to try to fix it but no luck at all.And we need Facebook here because we have the companies page which we used to regularly update.

View 1 Replies View Relatedokay so i have kind of a huge problem. well not really i'm just being a bit dramatic. lol. i have recently gotten a new laptop (hp pavillion dv7-6157cl / windows 7 home premium) and since i set it up i have had a problem signing into facebook. the only time i was able to do so is the day i got it, when my sister installed some add-on but it stopped working less than an hour later. i am able to access the web page but am unable to sign in. at first, i would put in my information to log in and i would see a message saying i had to enable cookies.. so i did that and i still get that lovely message sometimes and i go to my internet options and the cookies are enabled. -_- but what i usually get now is "you must log on to see this page" after i attempt to log in.
i know my log in information is correct because i am able to log in on my android, so that is not the problem. also, i have restored the internet settings to how it originally was and nothing. another problem that i had, which i mention just in case there is some correlation to the problem at hand, is that i was having problems logging into my gmail and Internet account. the problem was that i was checking the box for "stay signed in." so when i didn't check that box i was able to sign into both. oh and i am trying to refrain from using any other web browsers because some have told me that it is easier to get viruses and that they cause unnecessary problems that may easily be avoided.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I posted several weeks ago that my fan was about to go out in my HP DV7 laptop, and it finally stopped working completely. I have a small fan I a using to keep it cool. It appears to be doing the job for the most part. Depending on the time of day I get 32 degrees to a high of about 74 degree's in the hot part of the day.
My question is will this be alright, or is the internal fan being out and not pushing the air out going to be a problem? I will tell you one thing after calling HP and checking with local repair shops I won't be paying anyone to fix it and I am not sure if I can tackle this job myself or not. If I were to fix it myself don't I also have to put the heat sink (processor) stuff on there? (Not sure of the name of the stuff) And were do I get this stuff? So should I just wait and see if this small fan continues to work for me? Or jump in and try to fix it and create more problems! My fear is I will damage the mother board or something else trying to repair the $45.00 fan! Is it worth it? Or rock and roll with the $5.00 external Walmart fan Which could last days or years.
I am bummed as the laptop is only 1 1/2 years old. But I absolutely like all the options and design of my laptop!
Facebook used to open just fine last week. Now this week no one in my house can open it. We all get the error message stating that Internet Explorer cannot open the webpage. The funny thing is that Facebook is the only site that is unaccessable. All others work just fine. We are running a Belkin wireless router.we can open Facebook when we connect to the internet using my husbands mobil hotspot on his cell phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a HP laptop and a custom built desktop both running Windows 7. I have both devices networked together and both share files through the Windows 7 Home Group or through my NAS. There are many times when I am on my laptop and want to switch over to my desktop or vice versa. My desktop has multiple displays which got me thinking about extended desktops. Is there any possible way to set up a connection between both computers so that a program or software that is installed on both computers could be dragged from the laptop screen over to my desktop screen?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install a WAMP on my laptop for work outside of my normal environment. My issue is i cannot get the WAMP to work and the icon is red, when i click on it i get an error.I have done the following:
1. removed ALL items that may be on port 80, which included Skype and TeamViewer.
2. I installed Apache 1st, ran a check with my localhost and it displays "It Works"
3. Installed PHP from PHP's site
4. Installed MySQL's workbench with success.
I tried to install the 64 bit WAMP since im running a 64 bit OS on my laptop. This didnt work, so i installed EVERYTHING, and tried the same process but with the 32 bit, still no go.Ive searched all forums and web videos with no luck.
I have a pioneer blueray writer drive installed in my Sony Vaio laptop. I'm on holiday and brought some DVD's with me to watch in the evenings. I have watched several since arriving but tonight when I tried to play one nothing happened. I checked in device manager and it reports that the drive is working properly but when I checked device region I found that it was set to region 1 instead of region 2. When I try to switch to region 2 I get the following error message;"Unable to update region setting. The drive reports that it requires media of the destination region (region 2) so please insert appropriate media and try again." When I insert a region 2 DVD into the drive and click okay it asks if I'm sure I want to change to region 2, I click OK and I get the same error message as above. I have tried uninstalling the drive and then rebooting the computer to force Windows 7 to reinstall it but it just comes up the same as it was. Any idea how to get this working again?
