W7 Installation: Device Drivers Not Found
I bought a W7 Home Premium, the discounted version for students, and I'm trying to install it on my Acer 6930G (500GB, ram 4GB, ...right stuff for W7).
I'm actually running W Vista x86, and I know that in order to run W7 x64 (the one I bought) I must do a custom installation from the boot. And I'm doing so, well trying to...
After the window asking for my location and keyboard input, I continue but then I get stuck.
A new window pops up asking me for a device driver...it stated "device driver not found"...
I read a lot on the internet, but that's driving me mad...
how can I solve the problem and having that OS running?!
I'm going to sue Microsoft if that OS is not gonna run... xD

Rc Installation Problem : Cd/dvd Device Driver Not Found
I was trying to change from Windows 7 beta 7000 build to RC 1. Right after loading files, setup said something like a necessary cd/dvd device driver was missing and asked me to load it. I browsed for my driver folder and randomly tried with all the drivers. Did not work. Error message after that was something like no new devices found, please make sure driver is in installation media. Is there a way to get around this?

No Device Drivers Were Found
No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK. Windows XP-32bit > 7-64bit I have now spent many hours now on this and this is the latest error message i get after redownloading and going through all this malarky. I am getting very frustrated and heartly sick of MS. They are every example of a monopoly for the economist and will be for years. It is an absolute disgrace that they never even got 10 students to try and download when they uploaded; it's just basic. The money I have spent buying it have been long exceeded at a personal cost in time. I feel cheated.

Acer Extensa 5630 - No Device Drivers Were Found
I have a acer extensa 5630. It has vista installed on it. Last week I was in the middle of restoring my computer to factory settings when my computer died, when i put it back on I started getting a "no BOOTMGR" type of message. Ive been on google for 3 days trying to figure out what to do, and I saw somebody wrote, to go on command prompt (the only thing I have been able to get on is my bios settings and the restore options, but i kept getting error when trying to restore). So I went to command prompt to diskpart to make partition 2 active. Volume settings I picked the one with c drive. I have a copy of Windows 7, 32bit I put the cd in and it comes to the window for "Select the driver to be installed", A little window pops up that says "No device drivers were foudn. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK". I hit ok and nothing happens, I can click Browse but I have no idea what im looking for. Can someone tell me if my BIOS settings have anything to do with this?

Icons In Device Manager Issue After Installation Of USB Device Drivers
We had a (small) issue when installing our USB device driver on Windows 7 RC. I downloaded the newest WDK, created and signed with Authenticode a new cat file including the new OS, and built a simple installer for installing the drivers. We used the recommended functions like CryptCATAdminAcquireContext, CryptCATAdminAddCatalog, CryptCATAdminReleaseCatalogContext and CryptCATAdminReleaseContext as well as SetupCopyOEMInf. We created a new device class and therefore the drivers appeared in the device manager as "unknown devices". We added the registry keys for displaying the mini icon for "USB devices". This worked pretty well on Vista64. Using the same installer script on Windows 7 (64-bit) still showed the "unknown devices" in the device manager. As we have to prepare now our installers to be compatible with Windows 7 and we need to know if this is a bug or if there exists a workaround.

CD/DVD Drivers Not Found Preventing Installation
Tried to install on three different computers, unsuccessfully, all having the same problem. During installation a window pops up requesting the optic drive drivers for the device it is already reading. The first attempt was for a new computer and had the installation disc for the Samsung burner but W7RC says they're not there. Downloaded firmware from Samsung on a flash drive and 7RC continued reading the small file for ten minutes and never got beyound that. Same results with another computer using Sony drives and another using a Toshiba. Other versions of Windows I am using never had this problem. I have read in these forums of people using F8 on a reboot to make file alterations but how do you do that when no OS is installed?

Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK" Can anybody help me understand why these drivers are not included in the iso file I downloaded from MS? What should I do now?

Base System Device Drivers Not Installed After Win 7 Pro 64 Bit Clean Installation
I've just clean installed Win 7 Pro 64 bit on a Dell Inspiron 640m laptop with Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 processor (original OS was Vista Ultimate). All appears to have gone well but on checking Device Manager there's a Base System Device entry in Other Devices group which is showing an exclamation mark. On opening this entry it shows "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" Clicking Update Driver and searching the Internet fails to locate a driver. I didn't install an Intel chipset after the Win 7 install (this computer is almost 3 years old and Dell haven't provided a chipset for Win 7 so I'm assuming chipset support is included in Win 7 out of the box).Could anyone advise if the above is likely to cause any significant problems?

I ran into this problem a few hours ago and have been pulling my hear out. Autorepairs diagnose the problem as a problem with the partition table, but is unable to automatically fix it Ive gone into diskpart and confirmed that the partition was active. I reset the MBR thought bootrec, bootsect.exe /nt60 all /force Success on all three windows partitions manually creating the BCD initially works. I can create the store, but when i run bcdedit /import i get an error saying the store does not exist. I am desperately trying to avoid an os reinstall. I havent made any changes in the past few weeks so I dont know what could have caused this.

Nvidia Drivers Not Found In Win7
I am having A "HUGE" Issue I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. It installed the window VGA drivers and seems to not even see my Nvidia 9400GT 1GIG card. I have tried installing with the card in then reinstalled windows without the card in and restarted put the card in and the drivers bump'd right in and hide my card? Any help????? I downloaded them right from Nvidia, and it gave me this here is a pic attached of what it said. This happened with both sets of drivers advised from Nvidia. I tried "191.07 WHQL" and "nv19045_Win7Vista32"... I have even set them to install in compatibility "vista" mode and restarted into safe mode. Please any help would be amazing. I really love Windows 7 so far and do not want to go back to XP. Is there something I can do in the registry keys or something?

Clean Install To Win7, No Drivers Found
I've been searching for an our or so all over trying to find something that helps me with this problem, but nothing seems to be working. I have an HP dv6780se Pavillion Laptop. I put a new hard drive in it to restore and the restore disks are working correctly. It will install windows vista, but then when it starts installing all the bloatware the computer restarts and says OS not found. So, I figured I'd install windows 7 since I was planning on doing it anyway. My problem now is that I'm wondering since restore disks only install vista and don't finish the other hp stuff that the drivers aren't getting installed for vista...hence when I try and do a clean install of Windows 7 it says no drivers found. Any idea what I can do to get my install going?

Motorola SB5101 USB / Radeon 9200 Drivers Not Found
This was a bizarre problem with the 32-bit RC which I installed on my sisters machine, first off the SB5101. This was a pretty straight forward fix, I downloaded the USB drivers from the motorola website (they wouldn't install from the CD that came with it), copied them into the "windows/system32" folder and manually pointed the entry in device manager to said drivers. The radeon 9200 was much the same, download and install the drivers to the default directory "C:ATI" and manually point the entry in the device manager to those drivers. The DVDRW drive not being found was just strange, the device manager showed it in the list as fully working, for some reason I always had to "scan for hardware changes" to get the drive to show up in my computer so I could actually use it. The fix for this was strange as well, because as soon as I got my video card to work by installing and manually pointing to those drivers in the driver updates in the device manager, the DVDRW drive sudenly appeared in my computer and stayed there, even after several restarts.

Custom Install Issue - No Device Drivers
I downloaded the student edition of windows 7 Home Premium, I am currently running Vista Ultimate so cannot do an upgrade and have to do a custom install. I downloaded it fine, ran it, it opens up fine with the blue windows 7 opening screen, I select install, then select custom install. In the next window I have an empty white box which I presume is supposed to list my HD's allowing me to select where I want to install Windows 7. None of my HD's are showing up, I'm given the option to browse or scan, when I select this it gives me the message- No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK Any suggestions?
