I need to get the Windows 7 video driver for an eMachines M2105 laptop. I have downloaded the XP driver provided with the eMachines website, but is says Incorrect OS when installing it. The audio driver did, however, work just fine. Windows Update is not finding anything. Can anyone offer some help?
my netbook won't start. It happened when I accidentally plugged out w/o the battery on it. When I tried powering it on, It went to black screen with options:
safe mode safe mode with networking safe mode with command prompt last known good configuration start windows normally
We already higlighted all the options but it just kept on restarting all over again.
I am, at this point, completely baffled how I can even interact with my computer. And frankly whether this should be in this part of the forum. The problem is with this machine. . My understanding of the situation is that I google'd "Winrar", and carelessly downloaded a malware-ridden version of the software from a fake site.
a friend of mine bought an Emachines laptop from sweden aguess, and the HDD failed, so I had to install a new OS to a new HDD... but now the Network controller just wont install... and on Emachines homepage the version G730G is not even shown.I have tried many different ways of installing, even disabled UAC, safe mode, thru command promt and still not installing. On device manager it just shows under "other devices" as "network controller" with a yellow sign on it probably its for wifi, cause it doesn't work currently also I took it apart yesterday before installing new windows... cleaned and changed thermal paste. could it be that I might have broken WIFI wire or its not connected properly? (It's a pain in the butt to take this apart and put it back together)
before i gutted it out and put all new stuff in, my computer was once an eMachines C6415. it has a built in card reader that 7 identifies, but just as a generic card reader. there are windows xp drivers for it that will give them certain icons and specify what kind of slot they are, but i can't find any for 7. they work and all, but i want them to show up in my computer with all the correct information (instead of the generic icon that just says "removable drive"). i can't find any 7 drivers for it. any help?
A friend gave me a netbook the one in title and I believe the sata hdd is failing, I just need some reassurance. The computer is just majorly slow, done some researching on the board and found out if the drive fails to spin up so many times it will put it in POI-I mode or something like and cause the data transfer to be extremely slow. When the computer FINALLY does turn on takes an hour sometimes no joke nothing will load. Acts like its frozen, after a while of letting it sit and do its thing I can slowly start opening stuff and it starts to speed up. I've defragged, ran chkdsk, and startup repair and everything I could think of and no luck. Is the drive failing ?
My e250 wont boot up... it shows a nag screen saying that is did not complete configuration and to restart to continue config.. I tried that several times... no luck.. this machine has no internal cddrive.
I have an emachine that my uncle, used for a while and reset the admin password. He recently passed away so now I do not know how to get into the system. He had an administrator account. But I don't know the password. I've tried all I can think of, but doesn't work... Also i've tried to login in safe mode.. but the accounts screen comes up and there is only one account (My uncle's.. which is also the main admin account)... and there's a link under that says "reset password". Is there any free solution that I can use or do I have to go show to a technician or re-install?
i have this older emachines PC i just picked up,, It has windows vista on it (yuk) along with a recovery partition to reset it back to factory specs. I shrank the C: drive and split the drive so i now have:
C: W7U D: Vista E: Emachines Recovery
Or well thats how im trying to get it set up BUT everytime i install Windows 7 the machine thinks it needs to be recovered and boots into system recovery options.
I currently use an emachines el1360g desktop. Full specs here:

I bought this off someone who had purchased a week prior, but sold it cheap to pay rent-I live in a college type area and this happens now and again. Everything was in great condition and all I added was a new litescribe dvd burner. Since the first time I started it up, it has run incredibly slow. While I am aware its processor is nothing fantastic, it had specs loads better than my old desktop yet runs much slower. My main use is simple web browsing and word processing, using mainly chrome and ms office. Any more than 4 tabs open on chrome with no other programs up and it starts to crawl. If I have multiple programs open, say chrome with office, it goes even slower, I've run the diagnostics windows includes and everything looks fine but yet it still goes incredibly slow. I ran the repair disk to no effect, and my next step was to reinstall 7, or drop down to either vista or xp.
EDIT: Also ran several malware/virus scans using malwarebytes, avst, norton, etc. All scans came back clean
When going to device manager it states that it is installes and working properly. When clicking device update it states that I have the latest update. However, I don't have any software to access it. Search doesn't provide any results.
I have windows 7 32 bit. The webcam doesn't have any buttons to it.
I tried to reload the original factory format using f8/alt (due to virus). When it rebooted it went to "emachines recovery maintenance" window and inside the window said "please wait a moment". I went back several hours later and it still had the same message. I then purchased the reformat software from emachines website. I put the system disk software in the dvd drive and rebooted the system, hit f12 on the splash screen and it still gives me the same window and message. Is my hard drive fried or is there something else I can do to correct?
i am worried about my netbook eMAchine eM350's mouse because its left click doesn't work. I seldom use it. what is the problem of my netbook? is this problem can be fixed by the setting? please..i really need to know the answer asap.

well i searched past threads but couldnt find what i was looking for. i have already downloaded the audio driver for my dell d600 but i have been unable to find the video driver. not sure if it is relevant but the laptop will play downloaded videos.
I am not sure if I can still fix this but I am trying not to lost hope here. This started when I upgrade my professional XP to windows7 Ultimate. I was able to use it for at least 3 months with no issue but then my computer crashed. I decided not to use windows7 anymore and then installed back my XP professional but even I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the XP os, my computer tends to use the generic driver of the video card. It will not detect now my monitor driver as well. I still have all th cd drivers but my computer always tells me it can't locate the driver. Should I replace or buy a new video card or is it my monitor driver that is damaged?
I've installed the lastest leaked version of windows and am having problems with the video drivers.
I'm running a 3 year old Asus laptop, W3000 series and can't get the screen res above 1024x768, I've tried lastest ATI vista drivers and the ATI windows 7 pre-release driver without luck.
Will have to put vista!! back if I can't get this sorted. It runs very quick now.
When I first installed the OS I used windows update in order to install a driver for my vid card. I am now trying to use a driver from nvidia. I go through the entire process of installation smoothly, restart, but when I go back into the device manager the same microsoft driver is there.
I'm trying to play World of Warcraft on an old laptop I have. I've been told to update my video drivers but I've been searching for some hours but can't find them anywhere. The laptop is an IBM ThinkPad T42 running Windows 7 32bit. If any more information is needed, please reply to the thread and I'll answer asap.
