Dec 17, 2011I recently had to do a windows 7 upgrade from disk due to some problems with my laptop. Now every time I turn on the laptop I get an Error 0000.

Feb 6, 2012I have old Dell laptop XPS M140, and had windows XP as the OS (my laptop has been working fine). Then my husband installed and upgraded the OS to windows 7..it worked just fine for a weeklot until in the last few days, I turned on my laptop and it wont start up anymore.I saw this message 'windows error recovery'..windows failed to start. A recent hardware/software change might be the cause....then there're two options to choose : launch start up repair and start windows normally..I tried both options but the laptop still wont start up.I also got through system recovery options, then I got result :launch an internal error occurred. error : the system cannot find the path specified (0x80070003).

Feb 3, 2013I have a Dell laptop Vostro 3350. It has been working fine for 2 yearsIn the middle of a windows update, the laptop was turned off.When started again, it had errors on update and stopped. Rebooted a few times but it always failed at the same point.Tried rebooting and using the system restore and repair options.It did get past the initial error point, but failed again further on.Now it doesn't boot at all, I get the error of needing to plug in a bootable device.

Jan 21, 2012I am on Windows 7 x64. Today I turned my computer on and it stopped at the "Windows Error Recovery". From the 2 options given I chose "Start Windows Normally". After pressing Enter it will not go beyond the black screen where it says "Starting Windows" and immediately reboots to the "Windows Error Recovery" again. I then chose the other option which is "Launch Startup Repair", entered the Disk, wait for it to load system files but it reboots to the Disk loading the files again like an eternal loop. Tried the F8 Advance booting options, chose "boot in safe mode with command prompt", it starts loading but then it reboots itself again!!
My system specs are these:

Always my PC get freeze with system message : "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 285.62 stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I found some tutorials how to fix it..like some one say use "Driver Sweeper" run it remove all drivers and install new one from NVIDIA web site. It doesn't matter what version of driver all showing it. Problem is it wont work..I am getting BIG blue fatal error where say " graphic driver isnt upgraded or something like that. I have Windows 7 64b Ultimate. My notebook is HP Pavilion dv7 with graphic card Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT. There is just something wrong with my PC or I have no idea.

I also purchased Registry cleaner program that supposedly found over 400 registry errors.I found by accident that I was able to connect normally if I turned the PC off by holding the power button. Then restarting, I got a message to start windows normally. When I did, and then it connected to the internet normally.Now, each night if I leave the power connected to the laptop and shut down windows from the Start command it works fine. I do not want to have to leave the power connected. Toshiba tech support is unable to help other that suggesting I return the PC to the "out of the box' status which is totally unacceptable to me.

Unmounable Boot Volume Error (PC Turned Off With Blu-ray Drive Open)
Mar 15, 2012I don't know if its a coincidence, but I left my blu-ray drive open when I turned my PC off, and all hell broke loose. Now I get these Unmounable Boot Volume. So Far,
- I've switched around the boot configuration. I've taken out the cmos battery.
- I've disconnected my 2nd hard drive
- I've reset bios default settings
- I've switched the SATA ports
I don't know what else to do, because I don't want to do a Fresh OS install. Right now I'm just working on 1 hard drive. my second 1tb is disconnected from power and data and I'm having the same problem. I also just disconnected my Blu-ray drive. And I did the start up repair. Niether worked.

Feb 6, 2012I just bought a new HDD since my 500gb drive wasn't big enough. I bought a 1.5TB drive and I wanted to use both drives. First I tried to transfer my Windows install to the new drive, I started getting some errors while booting up after a few hours. First Windows froze during the boot screen (at the point where it says Starting Windows... and normally the moving logo should appear). So I changed some boot priorities in BIOS and then I got a different error. The one where it asks if you want to start Windows normally or want it to check for problems. Whenever I tried to check for errors it froze during loading. When I picked start Windows normally it worked. Even when I had to reboot for a program. Then overnight I got the error again. I fixed it again and decided to just do a clean Windows install on the new drive.
During install all went well. No problems after rebooting as a result of installing programs or updates whatsoever. Then again overnight It showed the "Disk read error". Tried to fix it the same way but it didn't work. After changing BIOS boot priorities to only boot from the Windows drive it froze up during the Windows screen again or I got the error to run Windows normally or check for problems. This time I couldn't choose an option there, like my keyboard was frozen. So it always picks to check for problems and that doesn't work.
The fix I found this time was to use my Windows 7 disk and choose to repair my Windows. Problem is that it has to restore it to a restore point. But at least I got into Windows again. Even after reboot. However the next morning I had the same thing all over again. Again fixed it with Windows cd. Turned it off, waited about an hour, turned it on again and again it freezes during the Windows startup screen.
My guess would be that there's something wrong with the HDD since I never had the problem before I placed the new one. I'm thinking of returning to the store with it but maybe someone here has a solution.
