Ok, I'm wanting to go from Vista 32-bit to 7 64-bit. I ran the upgrade adviser and it said my Linksys wireless adapter needed action taken. I went to linksys website, but only found the 32-bit driver, and I'm guessing that won't work on 64-bit, right? I have the WMP54G ver 4.1 if anyone can help me out.
I am trying to run windows7 upgrade advisor on a four year old hp laptop dv5250us and keep getting ran into unexpected error please reinstall and try again but keep get same error no matter what I do.
Microsoft released the final version of Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor today. This is a essential utility that can help you prepare for a smooth upgrade to Windows 7. Brief Description
Download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if your PC is ready for Windows 7. It scans your hardware, devices, and installed programs for known compatibility issues, gives you guidance on how to resolve potential issues found, and recommends what to do before you upgrade.
Overview:-
Before you begin: Be sure to plug in and turn on any USB devices or other devices, such as printers, external hard disks, and scanners, that you regularly use with the PC you're checking.
The Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor scans your PC for potential compatibility issues and lets you know about your Windows 7 upgrade options. Within minutes, you'll get a report that tells you if your PC meets the system requirements, if any known compatibility issues with your hardware, devices, and installed programs are found, and gives guidance on what to do to before installing Windows 7 on your PC.
Running XP Pro, i7 920 , 4 gig of memory, Gig MB, GTX 9800 Video, Lan Cable connection with remote connection for printer only = going to upgrade to Win 7, however, I can't run Win 7 Advisor - after download on Windows site, I try to run and it says I am not connected to Internet.
I cannot get Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to work on two computers running Vista Home Premium (32 bit) one a laptop and one a desktop. It ran fine on my old PC running XP pro. What could it be?
Okay so, my laptop's system is unable to boot, so I just tried to format it since I have to do that for a very long time, and when it asked me in which partition I want to install windows there was nothing, although when I clicked "Load Driver" I could access the hard disk's files, the hard disk IS listed in the bios normally but windows does not recognize it, I tried using Kaspersky Rescue disk(the only CD I had along with the recovery disk)and when I used the File Manager, the hard disk still didn't show, are there any drivers I have to install?I have burned both fujitsu9that's my laptop) and Seagate's websites and can't find anything, I have searched forums but the only answers were "check if your hd is listen in bios".So, i IS listed in bios but I can't reinstall windows nor access it

I installed Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 (from official windows site, but i got a windows key from a friend of mine ^^) a couple of months ago, its all working fine.I recently installed the Windows 7 drivers available at Nvidia.com for my Nvidia 9500GT and got a noticable FPS boost.Today when I was just browsing some stuff i noticed that I had 2 driver errors:
USB Camera <-- old thing, bought it years ago, so screw that xD Coprocessor <-- No further information given O.o
so I tried to use the troubleshoot thing by rightclicking on my computer (with the yellow sign next to it ) and clicked Troubleshoot. It tried to reinstall the coprocessors drivers, but couldn't find earlier drivers so it failed.so now is my question: What the hell is my coprocessor? Could it be the onboard Nvidia geforce 7050? I personally doubt it becouse when installing Windows 7 it showed it had downloaded the WMD drivers from windows update for the 7050 and the 9500...
Ok so I just reformatted my Windows but the first thing I noticed wrong with it was the video quality it was pixelated and blurry so I looked through my device manager and the I saw the PCI device is not installed
I just got a brand new computer for christmas, it's a hp compaq dc5850, and it was working fine until now! I tried turning the computer on and it got stuck at the blue hp invent screen, I didn't know what to do, so I finally decided to just try and restore it. When I try to use the windows 7 disc to do this it keeps saying "no drives were found. Click to load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation".
Having a problem with an unknown device under Other devices. I tried scanning for hardware changes and updating the device but keeps coming up with no driver found. As well as the fps of a game I play has dropped significantly from where it was a day ago and get prompted the game is having trouble recognizing my graphics card this has never happened before.
After much trial and error, I've succeeded in finding an alternative driver for my HP 980cxi.Windows 7 offers only one of it's standard drivers as being compatible, thereby losing a lot of options including double-sided printing. In the drop-down list during printer installation, tell Windows you've got an Officejet Pro K550 Series and it's back to normal There are more settings to play with with this driver..
I have a Lenovo T61 running Windows 7 ultimate x32. Every time I plug a new USB device in I get 'no driver found' and it won't install, even if pointed to manufacturer drivers. I've updated windows and all the lenovo software/drivers...
I have a computer that came with windows 7 home pre-installed. After the 1st month's trial period we decided to install windows 7 enterprise. [code] Second problem is that the windows cannot be installed since the right driver cannot be found. Using the windows software we first disinstalled the initial windows 7 home editions and followed the next steps to install the new windows 7 enterprise version. After finishing the language set up a new box comes up to "select the driver to be installed".Whatever I do, the programme cannot find right driver.I got the necessary driver from the company that configured the computer, but the systems does not recognise it. I have tried to check the BIOS set up, and it appears to be alright...., though I am not really an expert. Which driver should I use in this case?Is there some set up change to consider before installing windows 7?
I also have a Liteon ihas424 98B DVD writer, that win7-64 will not recognize during install (but it reads the win7 install DVD..) Installed win7-32 and all is fine. Used PLDS smartpack utility to update the DVD firmware, to latest level. Ran twice, 2nd time no update. rebooted to win7-64 install dvd, win7-64 install still pops error right before unpacking files, CD/DVD driver missing... I gotta say huh? win7-32 has the driver, 64 does not?I will try to find another win7-64 install dvd.
This was my first time building a computer and everything went smoothly until the Windows 7 64bit installation. Right after the installation starts, a box pops up that says a "Required CD/DVD drive driver is not found" and that I can take out my Windows CD to install the driver. My CD/DVD drive is a LiteOn iHAS424-98 and the manual says that it should be ready for installation with Windows 7 without any drivers. The drive did come with a CD for Nero 9 and drivers/manuals, but when I put that CD in at the appropriate time, it still says no drivers are found. I looked at reviews for the drive on newegg and most of them said their installation went smoothly, but a couple seemed to have similar problems. However, each time they seemed to be caused by different things. I do not have another copy of Windows so I am trying to find solutions other than buying another copy. I'm not sure what's going on with it.
as usual I turned off my laptop and after a while a turned on again to use my laptop but it couldn't reach operating system and showed error : " OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND" !
I tried all instructions to solve the problem and finally run by windows start up CD to re-install new windows. this time I faced error: " No drivers were found. click load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation"

We have a Flatbad Passbook printer (Globalis Pr90 Plus) that we need to use on Windows 7 machine using USB Port. In the manuals it's said that to use this printer on windows we need to setup this as the EPSON LQ driver. We have done that and the printer worked fine. After rebooting the machine, the USB Printing Support shows a yellow exclamation mark and the printer doesn't work; using troubleshoot, windows 7 is correcting the issue (Driver not found) and the printer works fine until the machine is rebooted where the problem re-occurs and same cycle again.
