Windows Media Player Ripping Options Bug??
Feb 1, 2012Windows 7 x64 latest updates applied. WMP 12 now cannot rip CDs. It was set up and worked fine, but the disk that the path pointed to has been removed from system. Now ripping does not work, and I cannot reset the path. THe options dialog just ignores the click on (CHANGE...) button for path. Clearly a bug.
I have tried to uninstall WMP and reinstall it - using optionalfeatures.exe [or the control panel feature to show windows components] but that does not fix the problem. WMP 12 is back, but still does not work.

Windows 7 - Unable To Boot, Safe Mode Options Looping?
Dec 3, 2012I have a Dell inspiron 4010 laptop with Windows 7. I am unable to log on. The safe mode options screen keeps looping, and i am unable to boot. none of the safe mode options work, though the screen shows the loading windows files before restarting the safe mode options screen again. when i press f8 to get the advanced boot options, the system repair option is no longer there (it was there yesterday, but the system restore or system repairs didn't work), nor do any of the advanced boot options work.when i choose to disable automatic restart on system failure it appears that windows is startingbut then goes to a blue screen that says STOP: C0000135 The program can't start because %hs is missing.I believe this is happening as a result of an automatic Windows update.

If so why when ripping a double cd does the first disc go quickly and not the second.
BSOD While Burning/Ripping DVDs?
May 24, 2012Every time I try to RIP a DVD and burn it I get the BSOD "after" the burn has completed. No problems ripping just after the process has completed. I have BSOD using ConvertXtoDVD 4 and 1Click DVD Copy.

Jan 5, 2012I have used dvddecrypter and autogk for a long time to rip my dvds to avi for use on my media centre, I have never had any sync issues before but have recently done a fresh install of Windows 7 on an ssd, after reinstalling dvddecrypter and autogk my rips are out of sync by a few seconds.I rip the main movie to a single vob, this is in sync perfectly, it is the avi which comes out of autogk which is out of sync, i have checked all the settings i can find but cant find a culprit.

Starts The Ripping Process By Listing All The Tracks As Pending, But Will Not Rip Anything?
Feb 23, 2012I have bought a cd which I wish to add to my cd collection on my pc. I insert the cd and winsows media player will find it and download all the cd information and list it ok. It then starts the ripping process by listing all the tracks as pending, but will not rip anything. You can hear the cd head tracking but nothing else. The same happens in itunes.I have another pc with XP as the OS and the cd will rip ok on that version of media player

Jun 1, 2012Running Win7 and certain programs do not display options. For example... if I run msconfig.... it pops up but there's nothing there... just a blank GUI... If I try to install a program... the install wizard pops up... but it's just a blank GUI... same with Task Manager. I can run CMD though. I tried to run a Outlook export and the export wizard is also just a blank GUI. And then in Chrome when I try to browse websites it's like 90% of the CSS doesn't work. I think I might have a virus but Kaspersky couldn't find any issues... I also tried some online scanners. I want to install some more serious software but I can't get through the wizards because the options don't exist.

So the VPN was not the issue.I found it strange that every time I run the batch file. It uploaded the same file again and again. I was pretty sure it already did it but it marked it as newer and did upload the file again and again. This is a waste of bandwidth.I am tempted to use /mir but this option is very risky as I could have important files deleted by accident.By my understanding, option /E should do the job as it only copies the modified files as well as new files and empty folders. That's what I want to do.

No Options Menu On Da Sims

Oct 30, 2009However, If I try to change any settings in the options menu, when I click accept the game just freezes. The PC doesn't freeze, JUST the game. When I page out and close the game and reopen it, sometimes the settings took effect, sometimes they didn't.
This happens EVERY time I click the accept button. Other than changing settings in the settings menu, the game works flawlessly. It's just a pain because I would like to change up some settings on my keyboard but after I change it and hit "accept" it just freezes and I have to restart crysis.
**It did NOT do this with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 RC.***
SPECS:
-I'm running Windows 7 Premium x64
-ATI 4850x2 Card in Crossfire (absolutely no scaling issues). this is not two separate cards. It's one card with two GPUs on it.

Options For Migrating To A New Disc
Jul 27, 2010I'm outgrowing my boot disc. I'd like to migrate the image to a new disc. I will not use anything from Symantec so that eliminates Norton. On Amazon, the negative reviews for Acronis run 2 to 1 so that leaves that out too.Suppose I install Windows 7 on a new disc and run an image restore. Would that give me back my current image with all programs installed?
