I have to be forever setting and resetting folder views. Is there a way to get Windows 7 to accept a change to the view settings of a folder without propagating that to other folders unless I ask it to?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOne of the features I like in Windows 7 is that I can customise the Favourite Folders that appear in the save options. For example I can in include any folder in the save list for most applications. This works for microsoft Word, IE etc. However some applications like Adobe reader and a few others do not have my favourite folders when I go to save. They just have the basic: Recentplaces/Desktop/Libraties/Computer/Network. Does anyoner know of a way to include my favourite folders in the list for Adobe reader and these other applications as well?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am running Windows 7 (Home Premium 64b) with Office 2010 (Home & Bus) on our new desktop PC. Just finished installing both without problem. Have now turned to adding email accounts to Outlook. I added 4 POP3 accounts, using the wizard. The wizard's test mails - and my own independently sent test mails - have confirmed that send/receive work fine in all 4. One of the 4 has been selected as my default account.
All 4 accounts show up in the navigation pane on the far left of the screen. The default account appears at top, with a black arrowhead to the left of its name. Under it appear the standard list of system-offered subfolders: Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, Deleted Items, Junk Mail, Calendar, Contacts etc. etc.
The other three accounts are listed below this array. Each of them has a white arrowhead to the left of its name. None of these accounts has any system-offered subfolders (Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items etc) listed under it.
Question -
How do I get Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items and the other system-offered subfolders to appear under these non-default accounts in the Navigation Pane? For example, I know (from viewing the same accounts independently on my laptop) that these non-default accounts are receiving mail; however, I cannot view any of this mail because the Inboxes of these accounts are not accessible from the Navigation Pane. I would like all 3 non-default accounts to at least show Inbox, and - if possible - one of them to also show a fuller menu including Drafts, Sent Items, Deleted Items, Junk Mail etc.
I have looked everywhere in Outlook there is, but can't seem to find the path to the fix (or - if I have found it - I guess I am not recognizing it).
I'm running windows 7 os using mozilla firefox browser. I created a shortcut on my desktop to access Internet Options. It was working fine for a while. Recently I opened the folder and the look has changed. On the general tab I no longer see "home page", "temporary internet files", etc. I only see, browsing history and appearance options. I wanted to change my home change in the address box, but it doesn't appear. How can I change it back to the way it use to look? I've scanned my laptop for potential viruses using AVG-anti-virus and Malwarebytes anti-malware....both came up clean.

Tried take ownership, cacls, safe mode, tools etc.
Need to to really move it, because the 2TB disc had no room to do a copy. It's really a FAT/NTFS table issue.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRunning Win7 and certain programs do not display options. For example... if I run msconfig.... it pops up but there's nothing there... just a blank GUI... If I try to install a program... the install wizard pops up... but it's just a blank GUI... same with Task Manager. I can run CMD though. I tried to run a Outlook export and the export wizard is also just a blank GUI. And then in Chrome when I try to browse websites it's like 90% of the CSS doesn't work. I think I might have a virus but Kaspersky couldn't find any issues... I also tried some online scanners. I have a batch file that uses Robocopy to perform "incremental backup" from the office to home.Here is the example robocopy c:/sharedFiles "\192.168.1.10myHomesharedFiles" /E When I run the batch file, the VPN connection was fine. So the VPN was not the issue.I found it strange that every time I run the batch file. It uploaded the same file again and again. I was pretty sure it already did it but it marked it as newer and did upload the file again and again. This is a waste of bandwidth.I am tempted to use /mir but this option is very risky as I could have important files deleted by accident.By my understanding, option /E should do the job as it only copies the modified files as well as new files and empty folders. That's what I want to do.

I just installed Da sims on a HP pavillion dv5 laptop with Intel Core i5 processor & 4g ram with windows 7.The game itself runs rather fine, but the options on the upper part of the screen (build, create family, demolish...) are oddly GONE.So, I installed the same game on my PC (wich runs on win XP) and it works perfectly, with th eproper options on the screen�s upper section.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHowever, If I try to change any settings in the options menu, when I click accept the game just freezes. The PC doesn't freeze, JUST the game. When I page out and close the game and reopen it, sometimes the settings took effect, sometimes they didn't.
This happens EVERY time I click the accept button. Other than changing settings in the settings menu, the game works flawlessly. It's just a pain because I would like to change up some settings on my keyboard but after I change it and hit "accept" it just freezes and I have to restart crysis.
**It did NOT do this with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 RC.***

-ATI 4850x2 Card in Crossfire (absolutely no scaling issues). this is not two separate cards. It's one card with two GPUs on it.

I'm outgrowing my boot disc. I'd like to migrate the image to a new disc. I will not use anything from Symantec so that eliminates Norton. On Amazon, the negative reviews for Acronis run 2 to 1 so that leaves that out too.Suppose I install Windows 7 on a new disc and run an image restore. Would that give me back my current image with all programs installed?
