Ripping Music Cd Using Media Player?
Apr 30, 2011I do not want Windows 7 Media Player to play a music cd while ripping it. I had this problem in the days of XP. The solution was simple but I don't remember it.

Windows Media Player Ripping Options Bug??
Feb 1, 2012Windows 7 x64 latest updates applied. WMP 12 now cannot rip CDs. It was set up and worked fine, but the disk that the path pointed to has been removed from system. Now ripping does not work, and I cannot reset the path. THe options dialog just ignores the click on (CHANGE...) button for path. Clearly a bug.
I have tried to uninstall WMP and reinstall it - using optionalfeatures.exe [or the control panel feature to show windows components] but that does not fix the problem. WMP 12 is back, but still does not work.
Media Player Has No" Ripping" Button
Feb 13, 2013I just want to load a cd of music onto my media player. I use Window's "Help and Support" icon and type in "download music." Media player help says I should look for tabs saying "Rip(ping)" to click and no such tabs exist. I look in both Media Player and Media Center and no tabs exist. I am using Win 7 64 bit Pro version.

I copied across all the Music folders from the old PC into the Music Library and I can play them by clicking on any track but Windows Media Player has not found and indexed them. Odd Distortion While Playing Music In Any Music Player On Windows 7 PC
Jan 19, 2012When listening to music on my PC, it does not matter if I use Winamp, Songbird, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or any other software. Every so often, there appears some sort of distortion, like the drive that the music is on slows down. I dont know if it is the driver or what. Its hard to explain. You have to hear it. I dont think its the mp3 file itself, cause I could play a song and it will be perfect, but then the next time I play it, it will distort. It is really driving my nuts cause I can't find the reason for it.

Sep 23, 2011I am using a third party music player, MusicBee, to play my music, however if I select a folder in windows explorer of an artist that has more than one album in sub folders under the artist name then the "PLAY ALL" button does nothing.
If I select a folder without sub folders inside the PLAY button works fine and open MusicBee to play the music.
I also have VLC installed and if I right click on any music folder I get the Play with VLC option, how can I add this same option for MusicBee.

Jul 25, 2011I'm in grave problem here. I just installed windows 7 x64 a few days back. And initially I installed the 32bit version of k-lite codec pack for my windows media player. The media center worked fine then. It was loading my ffdshow and ac3filter along as I checked it.But then yesterday I noticed that the same pop-up od recommended/express install of WMP came again. Initially I thought that it must be some bug or something, but then when my MKV and AVI files didn't work in WMC, I realized that somehow WMP x64 got triggered, and now it is using the x64 bit of WMP in WMC. And I just wanna revert back to 32-bit WMP in WMC.

Also it would be nice to add new tracks in a random order to places within the list. The main thing is to listen to something new rather than repeat stuff. My list mainly consists of favourites and will probably not exceed 1000 items.
