I can't seem to create the needed files as instructed from SF Diagnostics Tool. Every time I press a button, an Unhandled exception, could not find file C:XXX.txt, always occurs except for the "System Information" button. I tried searching but could not find any similar problem encountered from the tool.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two identical sata drives. They were previously configured at raid 0 so
reset and removed the raid config in my bios. I have a Asus p5wd2 Premium mobo.
When I try to install I get this error message
"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate existing system partition"
I also do not see my other sata drive detected In Win 7 set up.
I tried to load some drivers from disk and from usb but it says no signed drivers were found. I am also unsure what drivers I need.
I have Win 7 64 bit installed on my laptop as well as my desktop. System images for both are on external HD's.
On the laptop, I have created a system image on blank DVD's using DVD-R's. No problems -- I can restore from the DVD's.
However, when I try to create a system image on blank DVD-R's on my desktop, I get a message saying something like, "format was unsuccessful." If I use a DVD+RW the process runs to completion and I can restore from it. I had to use RW's because I don't have and +R's.
I get the same unsuccessful message if I try to format a blank DVD-R with Win 7.
My DVD burner on the desktop says it is a +R. Does that mean I can't use -R's.
I've no idea whether this is a Win 7 problem, burner problem or a problem on my part.
Would someone please try to straighten out the dense old mind?
I have searched high and low for a solution to this problem. I am running Windows 7. This error pops up in a window titled "fatal error" - "Unable to create an instance of required object". It happens in Firefox (14.0.1) and Word (Office 2010) usually when I'm trying to save or download a file. It then crashes the program and sometimes my entire computer.I've found tons of old references to problems relating to Allaire Homesite, but the page that windows support sends you to a Macromedia page that no longer exists as they were purchased by Adobe. At one point in the last year, I had started to install Homesite 5 but wasn't successful as I could not find my serial number. But that was long ago and this error just started happening now.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is a fresh Windows 7 install on a 500GB HDD (previously used under XP) In the BIOS the Storage is configured as: Raid. Obviously I have the right raid ICH10R drivers from Asus (they are on a USB drive) Installation starts, Windows sees the disk, I specify the drivers, BUT when I click Next, I get: Setup was unable to create a new system partition. I can delete the partition, create a new one, format it, BUT when I click Next, I get: Setup was unable to create a new system partition. I used Gparted to delete the partition, and tried again - I used Seagate tools to zero the disk (sort of low level format) - If I try to install on a brand new 1TB HDD following the same steps, it installs fine... Both drives are Sata II and I used the same Sata port (only one disk at a time)

while installing windows 7 from the installation DVD, everything works fine till the screen where it asks me to select the partition on which i would like to install Windows. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a External PVR unit that is connected to our home Theatre system and we watch downloaded movies that are stored on it's hard-drive.. This box is also connected via UPNP and I can see ALL Drives attached to my laptop which is located upstairs in the study...I was able to, from the computer, map this drive (N Drive) and was able to copy the movies files directly to the hard-drive of the PVR.Until recently, I was able to create new folders on the PVR hard-drive and then copy the files, but am no longer able to do so as I keep getting an error msg stating:"Could not create new file N:Moviesxxxxxx. The system cannot find the file specified"I can however copy the movie files or any other files directly to the hard-drive (ANY FOLDER).. Just cannot create any new folders!!!! Which I was able to do previously.?

When I was creating the first partition the Win7 install auto created two more volumes, both labeled as Unalloated. I thought nothing of it as I figured I would be able to merge/create my second partion with the remaining space once Windows was up and running. However, to my dimay I can not create a partition on one of those random Unallocated volumes. I've tried to delete all partition but the one that my OS is running on and I've tried to create two then merger but when I right-click on the second (first one works) volume the option t create a simple volume is greyed out.

Upon troubleshooting, I found that my computer cannot make System Restore Points, and it apparently tries to do so for 6 minutes. I deleted all restore points, expanded the space to 100%, and turned off and on system restore, without any success - I cannot create a restore point. My VSS service seems to be running just fine. The specific error is EID: 8193, and the text is: Failed to create restore point (Process = C:Windowssystem32 undll32.exe /d srrstr.dll,ExecuteScheduledSPPCreation; Description = Scheduled Checkpoint; Error = 0x81000101).

It reached to the page where it shows the disk partition. I deleted the partitions and created new one. My school handed out a bunch of software including windows 7. I saved the installer and key on my desktop and pretty much just left it there for two months. Eventually my vista crashed and could have only used mac. After a very short while my mac crashed to. I saved my key on a piece of paper but unfortunately I lost the installer.
This morning I found a iso, burnt it on another computer and popped it in. Everything was fine until I was asked where I want windows to be installed. Due to the fact that I tried to fix vista from dos, my hard drive configuration got messed up. Regardless of that I didn't care because everything was backed up on a external so I tried to format all of my hard drives and then instal windows.
