The Remote Device Or Resource Won't Accept The Connection And Port 8000 + HP Webjet Admin
Feb 15, 2012
i have just installed HP WebjetAdmin on a W7 64bit Office Pro installation. It installed fine and is the 64bit version. Since restarting I get the error message The remote device or resource won't accept the connection Detected [URL] The device or resource (localhost) is not set up to accept connections on port "8000". The usermanual [URL] says 8000 UDP O HP Web Jetadmin Discovery Listen: HP Web Jetadmin uses this port on remote IP hosts to detect earlier versions of the HP Web Jetadmin software.8000 TCP I Web Server: HP Web Jetadmin provides an HTTP listener for the initial client launch, Help content, and device file transfer operations. I have Commodo firewall and this program's exe is set as safe, but when i shut Commodo the issue remains?
I have been dealing with an issue where I am only able to get on a couple of websites, while every other website will not load. I have checked my auto-config settings and ive reset Internet Explorer. I used Microsoft's tool that tells you what the problem is and it came up with "the remote device or resource won't accept the connection".
He downloaded and ran a .reg file that was named crack1 without even reading any comments or anything and it corrupted his internet.....Whenever he tries to go to a website it just says cannot connect to webpage.he runs diagnostic and gets that errorThe remote device or resource won't accept the connectionive googled it and he's done the thing where you do this....control panel>internet>advanced>rese
When I'm away from my home office, I like to use Remote Desktop Connection to log on to 3 of my home computers. I have done this before without problems, but this time I found that I could connect but the remote computer would not accept my login even though I was using a user name and password that I knew worked for logging on locally. I was going to come here for help, but I figured out what the problem was before hand, so I thought I would post what happened just in case someone else runs into this problem.
The problem was that I had gone to the control panel and changed the username from what I had used when the OS was installed. This is a no-no because some aspects of the original user name are permanent. I accidentally discovered this when I went to computer management and clicked on local user and groups and saw two different names. One under column name, and the other under column full name. When I changed the full name back to the same as name, everything then worked fine with RDC.
message on my laptop "InternetExplorernot working problem found" "Your computor appears to be configured but the device or resourse [asus.msn.com]is not responding" what does it mean?
Got my new TP-Link router up and running all is well, my spare rig in ther conservatory is connecting to the net fine and it is accessing my main rig but I can not connect to it from my main rig I have done everything I can think of.All open/owned/shared with everyone, so yes all permissions are ok.stopped firewalls still the same. I have this weird problem with my laptop - i cant browse the internet, nor use any programs or games that require internet connection, however my network its still receiving and sending packages AND i CAN chat and receive/send files with skype . After diagnostic trows the "Can't communicate with Primary DNS Server" error message.I don't have router nor modem, i use cable directly.
Also my other PC witch has 100% identical network settings( IP, Mac address etc. the only difference is that is Windows XP) connects to internet with no problems whatsoever.Been searching the internet for some way to resolvet the problem all day, so far with no success. If you have any ideas what could be causing the problem please do answer below.
I will give you an idea of my set-up then what I am trying to do and what I have done.I have a BT router with Static IP, two wired computers, both have DHCP IPs but BT Router makes static IPs assuming computers MAC address dont change (according to BT)I am trying to connect using Remote Desktop and port forwarding for each PC e.g. 81.149.115.104:51463 The port is open when checking via [URL] but when trying to connect via Remote Desktop it times out/doesnt connect. I have set each PC to listen on the respective port in regedit but still nothing. Windows Firewall is also configured to allow connections through each port. Still nothing?
I am using hotel wifi network and was able to use it quite nicely. But suddenly my network started showing "No Internet Access" though it was connected. Diagnostics gives an error "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS Server) is not responding." I am still able to connect to same wifi properly with my other laptop.
My internet was fine when I went to sleep last night but when I got up today it was giving me the yellow exclamation error. According to my internet provider, Comcast, they can ping the modem and everything, it just won't connect to the internet. The diagnostic is telling me " Windows cannot communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server)". We've tried restarting the modem, the computer, etc. She had me go in and look at my network settings and they're fine. She even deactivated the modem on the phone and nothing.I have a desktop with windows 7. I do NOT have a router. The internet goes from the wall, to the modem, to my computer.
Anyway, my computer's been having some ridiculously slow internet speeds for the past few days and whenever I do a troubleshoot, it states that the 'device or resource (DNS server) is not responding'. I've tried every possible solution I read online and I'm still experiencing this problem.
"Computer appears to be configured properly but the device or resource [URL] is not responding". It's not the DNS cause that's all properly set and I've double checked, restarted computer and did a virus scan with security essentials.. came up with nothing. I'm connected to the router, just not the internet and when I go into my router and disable firewall it gets rid of the yellow triangle caution symbol and says internet access.. but I can't do anything..
I manage AD and 30+ servers at a community college. I just got a new computer for my office and loaded Windows 7. I also loaded the Remote Server Admin Tools so that I may manage my servers. The old Windows XP Admin Tools had a tool called IP Address Management. This tool combined DNS, DHCP, and WINS management all in the same window and the DHCP would keep the server setups on exit. I can't find this tool in the RS Admin Tools for Windows 7. Does anyone know where I can get a tool like this for Windows 7?
I am trying to set it up so I can use remote assistance for a Win7 Home PC and the user not have to know the admin password to allow it. I am trying to look down a teens PC so they have to go to me for installs.
But it seems when I try to do RA they have to know the admin password at the actual computer, is there anyway to make it so RA does not prompt for it?
your computer appears to be correctly configured but the device or resource (www.facebook.com) is not responding.. this is the message I keep getting.. I can connect to facebook on my kindle but my laptop just wont do it.. I can connect to any other site on my laptop just not facebook..
I am running a lite version of windows 7 32bit in which the dev took off remote desktop. I have looked everywhere but cant find a guide to reinstalling it.
I am using the Belkin FD7050 v3 USB adapter. I was having all kinds of problems getting 7 to recognize it and find a network.
I got it work by installing Vista x64, running all windows updates and installing the adapter, then doing an in-place upgrade.
Everything was working great, no wireless problems at all. Then I unplugged the adapter and plugged it back in to a different USB port. Win 7 recognized the adapter right away and installed drivers, but it can't see any networks. Very similar to the first time I installed 7 before upgrading from Vista.
I have since tried uninstalling/re-installing. Letting Win 7 find drivers, manually installing the FD7050 v3 drivers from Belkin. Tried installing the Belkin drivers in XP compatibility mode and Vista Compatibility mode. Nothing works.
I'm trying to not have to completely reinstall Vista x64 and then upgrade to 7 x64 again. Any ideas?
I normally use remote desktop connection over my home network by simply typing the IP address assigned by the router to the computer I am trying to connect to.Now I am in a hotel in another city. I tried using the ip provided through ipconfig and whatsmyip.com, but I am unable to connect through remote desktop connection.
I'm really having a hard time configuring Remote Desktop Connection.I'm trying to set up a session between my laptop at work(Windows 7 Home Premium) and my PC at home(Windows 7 Ultimate). Now the settings are fine ('Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer' and 'Allow connections from computers running [CODE]
i would like to connect using RDC from my netbook (using windows 7 starter) to my desktop (using windows 7 professional) on the road.
i have followed all the steps here: Allow Remote Desktop connections from outside your home network when i try to connect i get the dreaded "remote desktop can't connect to the remote computer" error message.
I have Dell Latitude E6420 which Window 7,IE9. We use F5 Network & Symantec Antivirus in Office.Yesterday I tried to do remote desktop connection of my Off PC. I have been trying for a very long time to set up a Remote Desktop Connection to my work server, and am unable to set it up and connect. The network administrator gave me the IP address for the server and I have double checked that it is correct. He told me not to add anything else to the number when I set it up, but Windows Remote Desktop Connection setup wizard says it must have "https://" before the IP number so I put that in.I always get this error: Quote: An error occurred. Contact your workplace administrator for assistance. I thought it might be a Windows Firewall issue, so I went to check if it was allowed. Remote Desktop Connection Windows 7 how to add it because when I clicked to add another program, it was not listed as an option.I read this tutorial Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) - Network and the first photo under "Option Two" in that post shows Advanced System Settings with a section on Remote Desktop. On my computer it only shows the "Remote Assistance" section and does not show "Remote Desktop" at all, and I'm not sure why.My ISP is AT&T. I have DSL with a wireless router. Is it possible that AT&T is blocking the port I need to use? I connect to the server at my office and know my credentials are good, but I don't even get to the point of being able to enter them when I try to set up the Remote Desktop Connection at home.
I can use remote control between 2 of them, but I can not connect from any of those two to the third one. All the services needed for remote control are running, and I have tried several tutorials on how to set up remote control...and nothing. Again, only on third computer remote control does not work. On that computer I have 2 accounts: one standard and one admin. I have put admin account under "Select users" and did not help. Tried with enabled Administrator account and nothing. Below you will see the picture which describes the problem. I can not select who can connect.
This morning I was working in eplorer to move some files, and Windows 7 asked me if I wanted to turn on filtering mode, and I confirmed.
Now when I use my remote desktop session from a windows xp machine that has always worked, I now only have control with my mouse, but no more keyboard input.
I do not know if the filtering mode has anything to do with it, but I cannot figure out why I cannot use my keyboard anymore in RDP. Funny thing is, it DOES work when I login to windows 7, I can type my password but when the desktop is there, I cannot use the keyboard anymore..
I am trying to setup a RDC with a static IP for my PC so I can access it from work. I started messing around with my laptop and PC trying to Remote Access them from one to another locally before doing set up my router to do port forwarding. I noticed that none of my laptops in my house can connect to my PC for Remote Access but I can connect to any laptop from my pc. I don't know what's going on. I've changed the IP on my PC 4 times and still nothing. Hard reset on my router, but nothing.
