I restart my PC spam F8 and enable test mode. Windows boots up and then... nothing. it's normal windows starting without the watermark in either corner and I can't install drivers without certification.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Ps3 controller as an alternative to an Xbox 360 controller on my PC (to play games with a gamepad) but in order to use my Ps3 controller as a makeshift 360 controller, I need test signing enabled.
Unfortunately with test signing enabled I get a big ugly watermark at the bottom right of my screen, as far as I know the only way to disable this is to disable test signing, otherwise it just won't leave! Is there any way I can get past this and somehow keep driver test signing enabled but get rid of that horrid watermark ruining my gorgeous wallpaper?
I've bough a Dell Inspiron 1564 with Windows 7 home premium x64 last month and everything was fine until a few days ago, when sleep mode stopped working. When I close my lid and open it up after some time there are 2 things that might happen:
1. The screen is just black, all the buttons are lit, I hear the fan, but no reaction at all. So I just forcibly turn off and turn it on again.
2. After opening the lid, nothing happens, when I try to turn it on, it loads up, but informs me that windows has not shut down properly last time (or something like that).
One day i was on my computer and it crashed and since then every time i try and open up my computer normally it will reach the point where my user has to log in and cut out just before. Can still hear windows just my screen says "no connection with pc". Ive tried other wires/monitors and stuff and nothings worked.I have a Nvidia graphics card and ive tried completely removing my nvida files and reinstalling the drivers from the website. When i uninstalled the graphics driver it allowed me back onto windows normally except when i reinstalled the driver (on the normal version of windows not saftey) after the restart it went back to the same problems.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI had a problem about ipv6 on windows 7 for a long time. I have a ipv6 & ipv4 dual stack network. Every time I wake up my computer, the ipv6 cannot work. The appearance is that I can't ping and access ipv6 website. But after some research, I realize that only the DNS part is broken. When I ping the ipv6 site like ipv6.google.com, it tells me it find no host, but if I use nslookup, I can find the ipv6 address. And the following are my tries:
ping ipv6.google.com -- not work
ping 2a00:1450:8001::68 -- does work, the ip is the ipv6.google.com address
ping -6 ipv6.google.com -- does work like the above
I have many years of experience with Windows OSes, but one thing about Win7 is stumping me. I have an application that I want to open when I log in. It's Speedfan, so I can monitor temperatures. I put a shortcut to it in my Start Menu - Programs - Startup folder. If I click on that shortcut it starts the app. But the app never starts when I log in. It shows in the start menu in MSCONFIG and it is enabled.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is really strange.. i have noticed for a few days that the search in the star menu isn't working... i shrugged this off the last few times because i didn't really need it(just being lazy trying to find a program)... but today... i typed run... and instead of finding run like normal it shows a few options "programs", "control panel", "documents", and "files" now these all have blank icons and when i click on programs(the obvious selection) i get a pop up from windows security that says"These files can't be openedYour Internet Security settings prevented one or more files from being opened."and in "show details"... View 9 Replies View RelatedWindows won't start. I get a a black screen saying some hardware or software has changed and the only options are to press enter to continue, or escape to exit. I tried booting my Win 7 64 bit recovery disc (aka system repair disc) but in the second screen where it tells you to select an operating system, it is blank! I attempted to add hard disk drivers but i couldn't figure out how. So i pressed next and got to the screen with various options. I selected "Startup Repair" but that won't work. It says that "startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically".

View 5 Replies View RelatedI overclocked my cpu to 3GHz along with RAM (running at 1333MHz). Did stress test for 9 and half hours and everything seems stable. Prime 95 doesn't show any errors and max temperature it reached was 48. I also did winsat mem test but max it goes was upto 5960.97MB/s (Without OC, it scores upto 4721 MB/s). I'm pretty sure my ram is capable of running higher.

When I shut down computer or it ask me to restart every time it take update of the same file and after restart, my windows again downloading the same file and a strange (Test Mode Windows Build) thing is appearing just right down corner of the task bar where the digital clock is been displayed. This is the only file which is taking update every time I restart my Workstation. I can still see my speakers under the Sound list in Control Panel, and they say they work. All of my drivers are up to date and say they work. I have tried many things, some of which where disabling all sound effects under enhancements, reinstalling all the drivers, and restarting the Windows Audio.

I recently replaced the hard drive on my Dell PC. I followe the Seagate instructions to copy the entire hard-drive, including the Operating System. The instructions didn't say anything about activation or "genuine windows" issues. In any case, my Windows 7 installation is "activated", but does not pass Microsofts "Genuine" tests. Updating is disabled. I really don't want to reinstall Windows 7. Is there a way to get my "Genuine" status back?
