Oct 11, 2012have a new HP lap top running Win 7 64 bit, A new Lenovo Think Centre running Win 7 32 Bit, connected wirelessly to my router. Have set up a Homegroup between these two computers and they work OK, My problem, my older PC running Win Vista 64 bit is connected to the same Netcom NB6 plus 4w adsl2 router via a wired connection, this PC has files I would like to share with the new windows 7 computers. I have tried to follow the set up proceedures although they do not seem to work the way the Computers are connected to the router

2- Already scan with malwarebytes anti-malware and removed affected files - failed

Unable To Start .jar File As A Window Service
Jul 8, 2012I've a jar file which contains a very simple program of displaying "Hello" message in the console.I've pasted the code at the end of this thread.I want to run this jar file as a windows service.This service gets started without any hiccup,However,It simply wouldn't start the service.
I've tried running this service as using NET and Sc command.But in vain.Below is the error i'm facing C:Windowssystem32>sc start MajaService [SC] StartService FAILED with error 193.
Further, as a workaround I created a .bat file for executing this .jar file and again tried creating a window service for this .bat file,In this event i get the followingh error:

Jul 25, 2012I bought a used hp tower with twin xeon dual core processors a few months ago. It was a great machime but only has dvd rom. I wanted to burn a disc but couldnt, so I tool my old ISE Dvd drive out of my old computer, bought new only about 1year ago. I insterted it and a screen came up say that my system configuration had changed and press F1 to accept the changes. I did this and then it faild to boot!
I have removed the dvd drive and tried again but the same, will not boot. I then removed the original dvd drive and you guessed it, still wont boot.
I have run windows repair but nothing. How can I get it to boot without reinstalling? I only have 1 hard drive (sata) and stupidly havent done a backup (doh!!)

"USB device Not Recognized. One of the Usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows doesn't recognize it".
It works fine for other devices, only for this one gives me this error. I tried to reinstall the drivers again but in vain. I even reinstalled my system and it gives me the same error when I try to connect my nokia c3.

Jun 6, 2012Got a Dell laptop with Wn7 premium and I noticed windows update was not up to date. Checked manually and it said Windows security center is not turned on, tried to turn it on and all I got was it won't start.
I checked and I uninstalled a Norton AV that was a come with, I rebooted and I still have same issue. I havent been able to keep Win 7 updated. I am using McAfee for AV, it seems to be working fine.

SSD, Radeon HD 7950 and Mushkin ddr3 are the newest parts. But I'm experiencing random BSODs (ntoskrnl.exe). There were also BSODs related to dwm.exe, but they disapeared when I installed Catalyst 12.8. Sometimes there are hardlocks without BSODs - ctrs+alt+del doesn't work here so I have to do a hard reset.First I thought it might be related to Radeon 7950 and compatibility problems - F2 (2009) is the latest BIOS for my motherboard (there is also F3J but still beta). Now it seems to be ok after I installed Catalyst 12.8.Then I thought that the SSD connected to Marvell controller is the problem. Well, there is a problem cause BIOS sometimes cannot see this SSD. Now Im thinking of buying a newest motherboard... unfortunately. I updated Marvell Controller drivers, still the same.Next thing - I ran memtest86+ ver. 4.20 to check memory. Pass 0 (Modulo 20, Random pattern) - there's only one error:

I'd say the memory is getting warm (even not so warm), but not hot. Third MemTest pass also was completed. No lock ups. Probably too low voltage could generate errors.Today I got another BSOD:

How To Get Default Settings On System Service
Dec 5, 2010[code] i was reading something online that everything under services should be normal because of the default settings and wasnt supposed to be ignored. I wanted to find out how they were put on ignore and if you could give me instructions on how to get the default settings on those services again. I already tried sc.exe and run it on administrator but everytime i type something on cmd prompt it closes.

Nov 19, 2009So I finally get everything installed and running. I updated my gfx drivers to the latest at the time(a couple weeks ago) and things worked.
The computer had been shut off for probably a week maybe longer. Turn the computer on, right after I login, bam, BSOD. system_service_exception.
So I do some searching on another computer. Most of the things come up talking about gfx drivers being the problem, but nothing definite.
I rolled back the drivers. Things work fine. ATI released a new driver catalyst 9.11. I install that, everything is fine. computer was shut down and restarted and still worked fine.
I fire up the computer tonight, bam, BSOD. Same message as before. So I rolled back the gfx driver and now it's working normal again.
Does it make sense for the computer to be working fine with the newer drivers, be shut down for a while, and then not work? Cause that doesn't make sense to me.
There's also not much information out there regarding this system_service_exception BSOD that comes up. It would be nice to have some better concrete info on it.

May 31, 2011My HP with Windows 7 suddenly gives me the following error message on startup: "Failed to connect to a Windows service: Could not connect to System Event Notification Service." Among other things, this prevents me from connecting to my wireless network, so I can't get on-line. Rebooting doesn't help. And the problem occurs regardless of whether I sign on as administrator or as general user.More: I can't access the Windows Help & Support pages. And I'm told to "see System Events log" for details, but when I try, it says "Event Log Service is unavailable."

Jun 28, 2012Yesterday I wanted to use my HP laptop with my TV so I connected it using an hdmi cable. Everything connected fine and I opened up my cyberlink youcam software to adjust the camera settings. I got up for a minute to do something and when I came back the computer had gone to the blue screen of death (displayed right on the tv screen). The error was SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. This is the first time this happened so im not sure what to think. According to the HP website all of my drivers are up to date so I don't think that would be the problem.

Jan 16, 2012Since building a new computer a few months back, I have been having issues with BSOD's while playing certain games like Battlefield 3 or Wow. But Skyrim and others are fine. I've tried many different drivers for ati and I'm currently using 11.12, but crashes still happen. I don't believe its a overheating problem as the temps are all low. WhoCrashed suggests a driver issue and has singled out ati as the possible issue a few times.

Random System Hangs By Service Pack One?
May 20, 2012I was having this problem earlier too, but i reinstalled windows 7 and now it was fine till i today used windows update to install service pack one. Now im getting hangs again.
No BSOD's have been seen yet, but its hanging up yeah(Screen freezes, keyboard lights go out and voice outputs a big 'ZZZZZZZZ' ) I cant provide much more detail

Sep 12, 2012My computer has been crashing alot lately. I get BSOD within a few minutes of using my computer. Earlier than this I had issues with my internet connection, even when using an ethernet cable. My network adapter would get a Code(10) saying it couldnt start, so I tried downloading a newer driver. I tried several times to update it but I was told it was up to date. Then I uninstalled it, also tried changing the settings so windows wouldnt automatically install, but I still have trouble. A lot of the BSOD occur if I am trying to use the internet. I tried updating my display driver as well, but the NVIDIA installer keeps saying the install failed. I tried downloading the newest BIOS from the manufacturers site, but I got BSOD special_pool_detected_memory_corruption.
What is also strange is that only a few days ago I moved my computer to my bfs place, and prior to the move I've only encountered windows freezing once in a while. Then after maybe two or three days of use, we started getting crashing. So we tried moving my files and doing a clean recovery in a desperate attempt to make it all go away. Then I tried looking on the internet for people with similar problems, but it all just seems so specific. I also turned on Driver Verifier as it should apparently give more useful dumps or something. I have changed nothing on my computer, other than doing a recovery a few months ago and now hooking my computer up to his monitor, mouse and keyboard. And I think the computer is outside warranty too.

All my drivers are up to date (double checked), I rolled back and uninstalled all updates, Did sfc /scannow three times and they passed without any integrity violations. I've tried netsh winsock reset as well. The aero is gone, greyed out plus I can't select any other theme and whenever I start up the computer it displays the message "Could not connect to a Windows service".This started happening about 2 months ago when my laptop ran out of battery in hibernate mode. It didn't resume so I had to press the power button again and then it took about 8 minutes to boot with nothing but a black screen and the mouse there. The audio service isn't running every time I boot up (I have to right click and run troubleshooter to start it). I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate on a Sony Vaio VGN-NW25GF. Intel Duo core T6600 and the ATI Radeon HD Graphics 4570 card.

I think it maybe related because this only happens when I do something on the internet. Watching a video or uploading something, or playing online games. Plus sometimes it freezes and not even the reset button works. I have to turn it completely off and in 5 seconds turns back again on its own. I don't understand much of it, but i went to event viewer and not all the errors are totally alike, so i don't know if that means the cause is different. I have lots of critical errors and all from the source: kernel power; and event: id 41. I have other errors with name "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDELED" and other with no name.

Dec 10, 2009i have been having this issue since Vista. I will randomly get the BSOD 0x3B. I notice it happens a lot when i play call of duty 4 and the new call of duty modern warfare 2. I immediately thought it was my ram. I took out all of the sticks and ran the vista memory test (i know, probably not the best choice) on each individual stick and then all of them together. No issues found.
After testing the ram i thought it may be my GPU because of the fact that it happens a lot in call of duty. I figured maybe the way the game renders on the GPU, its probably using a bad portion of the GPU RAM. I planned on upgrading in the future so i went ahead and ordered a Radeon 5870. it will be here friday. Hopefully that will fix the issue.
Here are my current system specs. Maybe you will find something wrong with it. I have updated the BIOS, Video Drivers and motherboard drivers.
Intel e8400 @ 3.6ghz. Cooled with a Cooler Master V8. Max temps after playing for awhile about 43C.

Problem 2:System Recovery Options window doesn't appear. The little box with command prompt, startup repair, etc doesn't come up at all. Tried 2 separate repair disk and repair your computer in the advance boot options list, still no luck, pc still wont boot and recovery options are still not appearing on screen. Also I have waited over an hour for it to show.

Aug 5, 2012So recently I had hardware issues, and through warranty I had several replacements done. Mobo, Video cards, ram sticks, and the power supply. After all that was fixed and replaced my computer seemed to have ran fine for a few days, and it still technically is except for this problem.The problem is when I log in into windows normally it takes a while for Windows to boot up. I get a "Please wait" screen, then after a long 4 minute log in once inside windows I get the"Windows could not connect to the system event notification service", and the toolbar is grey all old school windows like.

In services the service is called System event notification, it says that the service is running fine. Even when i try to restart it, it makes no difference at all.
