if I keep ctrl button pressed and then click and drag with left mouse button (selecting text or using photoshop) this drag is sometimes "sticky" - when I finally release the mouse button system does not stop dragging. It behaves as I would still hold the left mouse button pressed... To release it I need to click again.
It seems like the screen only works if I turn it on exactly at the same time as I turn on the computer. So i need to push both the screen power button and the computer power button at the same time.I am not sure, it just seems to work when I do it. What can cause this weird problem?
When i press my left mouse button it should trigger another button on the keyboard, and as long as left mouse button is pressed they key on the keyboard stays pressed (virtually of course).
I have a Deltaco USB bluetooth adapter that I want to use to connect a wiimote to my computer to play games with. But when I plug the adapter in, the computer acts as if the up arrow-key is being constantly pressed down, making it scroll upwards or flip through options constantly. Nothing short of unplugging the USB-adapter makes it stop. This is terribly annoying. When I was using a evaluation version of Blue Soleil this problem went away when I fiddled with the wiimote.
Now I'm using Toshibas Bluetooth Stack for Windows though, and it wont go away at all. The wiimote works, but I can't do anything on the computer at all due to this.
I'm having trouble with my laptop's keyboard, specifically with letter x.I press it once and nothing happens.. but if I immediatly press it again, it writes the letter. This works almost like when you open a folder on the pc. You need to click two times quickly to open it.I tried running the Safe mode and writing and it worked perfectly! At first I thought it was just dirt or a piece of something that was trapped under the x key but I removed it and nothing..
I work in a school environment and have come across an intermittent, non-user specific and non-machine specific issue. Sometimes when people log on and start typing it will open up a piece of software, and always the same one and the same 'A' key on the keyboard. It is not a huge problem, you can minimise the program and it wont keep opening up, or you can log off and back on again to cure the problem. I am just curious if anyone has seen this before, or maybe has an idea how we can prevent this. I have search many forums for similar problems people have experienced.
I have a computer running 7 Pro 64x that won't wake from sleep when the keyboard or mouse is pressed. I checked in device manager and both are selected to wake the computer and not allow it to power down the devices. They are both PS/2. The only way to wake the computer is by hitting the power button on the case.
I just bought a brand new laptop running Windows 7 64 bit 5 days ago. When typing, the computer suddenly acts as if the ctrl key is pressed when it isn't. Any letter typed will perform the action it would if the ctrl key is pressed. This can only be remedied by a complete reboot. I do not have sticky keys enabled.
The print options box appears in the upper left side of the screen. I press the print button in the box. What prints out is the print options box over the screen I wanted to print. If I drag the print options box out of the way to the right side of the screen. The print option box doesn't print, I get the screen print I requested.
I'm putting this in Windows 7 because it does this with all browsers. Initially, it did it with Google Chrome, but after I uninstalled it, it started up Firefox when I pressed the control button. I have no idea how it started, I restarted my computer and it still persisted.
i have windows 7 laptop that i have had for only a few months for all the time I have used it when I press ALT+Tab keys there came up with a viewer that I could scroll through open windows by selecting a from miniature images of that window... recently this changed to what I understand to the Windows XP viewer that only displays icons to scroll through when ALT+Tab is pressed... I dont think I downloaded anything harmful to do this but I also don't remember changing any setting to have this happen, how do I chage it back?
->Win 7 Pro ->Boots up shows "press ctrl+alt+del" screen ->Once this is pressed, the prompt for the password does not show (mouse moves not frozen) ->Unable to recover from rescue cd
After toiling with this issue for some time I found that when the computer is shut down properly, the next login does not show the password prompt. If the computer is shut down via a 5 second power-button press, the password prompt appears the next time the computer is turned on after the "start widows normally" dos screen. I had an older image of the os on a harddrive (replaced HD with solid state) that I used to "restore" from. The issue happened again some 6 days later. I can not keep restoring/backing up all the time as it is very time consuming (there is a lot of changing data on this computer and having to back up like this all the time is not a realistic solution).
When I press Sleep button, I expect Windows to get into sleep mode at once. But why Windows spins up CD/DVD drive? This is very annoying, since I am putting my laptop to sleep mode several times a day.
New computer running Windows 7. I was delighted to discover sticky notes in the gadgets bit, started using it sucssfully then all of a sudden they are gone! No longer show under gadgets and they are not on my desktop any more. Anyone out there have a clue what's gone wrong and how do i get them back,
I accidently deleted my sticky notes shortcut from the start menu. I'm not sure where these things are actually stored, so if anyone can point me in the right direction or if you happen to know where it is, I'd appreciate the help...file explorer search reveals nothing, as I expect it's labled something else...
this would be really useful to keep track of Windows 7 development in both x86 and x64 flavours. What is out there now, whats comming up and changelogs for each version?
While holding down the right click button on my mouse and moving it(at games such as wow, lineage) it gets sticky.I've tried holding down the right click button on the desktop as well and it periodically right clicks.I looked into the settings of my mouse without any luck.
Usually, upon restarting, Sticky Notes has erased what was on them. It asks me to approve it in Start Up, and I do, but I don't see anything in msconfig startup that looks like Sticky Notes.
Whenever I finish using sticky notes and I try to close it, it doesn't closeThere's always the Windows Ding sound and I can only close it from task manager.
I installed Windows 7 on all of my pc's a week or so ago, and everything works beautifully, except for one little annoying issue... (Actually there is two, but the other one I will adress at the forum for that specific piece of software...)
On my desktop, "Sticky Notes" have a weird little "frame" around them...
If I move a "Sticky Note", the frame goes away...
- only to return a couple of seconds later.
I wondered if any of you had the same "problem", and if so - does anyone have a fix for this?
Really love the "Sticky Notes", but the "frame thing" is violating my Windows 7-eye-candy-experience.
It's a reinstall, since I don't believe in upgrades...
It's Windows 7 Ultimate x64...
All drivers is up-to-date...
I don't use/install "ancient software"...
Any other questions you might have, I will do my best to answer them if needed.
Can´t find a answer so decided to make this post. Using Sticky Notes on Win 7 is really nice, but sometimes I would use my tablet to write/draw manually to a note.
The problem is if I make any mistake or just want to delete, erase, part of what I wrote its no possible (i think).
I can at any time delete/modify etc my text but not what I drawn. The only way I found was delete the note and start over. There is anyway to get around this?
i am having a very hard time getting my mouse to work.it keeps slowing way down, to a crawl or moves and then freezes for a second then jumps like an inch at a time, very frustrating.ive tryed 3 mouses, a corded and 2 cordless both microsoft, one a wireless moblie 6000 ive tried with and without the drivers, ive reinstalled windows 7 ultimate twice, i formatted and installed linux ubuntu 11...still it keeps sticking and freeezing. oh yah also, its not the batterys but thats exaclty what it feels like, dead or dying batterys.ive read a ton of forums already i think i have tried everything. [code] also i had another ati 4670 that i tried did not work, and i just got a brand new harddrive, still the same problem..i just installed windows 7 fresh now and before i did anything i waited for a half hour or so and i started up again, does anyone think its possible somethings wrong with the mother board or cpu? ive tryed each usb port all of them have the same problem eventually.
Want to generate the reports in the sticky (attacking folders as a zip). I've done the first report and have the folder (Windows_N6_BSOD). How do I ZIP this exactly?
The third step (Start>perfmon/report). I type this into the search bar in start and don't get anything? (I have Windows 7).
I want to be able to put all the info as requested as I'm getting a few random crashes on startup (including the occasional BSOD). But obviously I want to be able to give the correct info to the experts on here.
I installed Windows 7 7260 32bit and everything works fine. But when i want to use my favourite gadget sticky notes... there is no sticky notes in gadget gallery, i dont know why. Can anyone who using this build tell me if he had the same problem?
