Screen Flickers When Take The Charger Out And In?

I recently updated the Intel HD Graphics driver to the latest version, but now it flickers every time I want to plug in my charger or take it out. It's really annoying and I'm not sure why this just started happening. yesterday i dl'd Spybot SnD, did a scan. After that i shut down my PC. When i turned on my pc at the morning, boot went on without problems. This flickering started at logon screen. I removed video drivers and the problem stopped, tried installing different drivers, but the problem goes on then.

I'm running Sims 2 and Age of mythology of virtual drives. Whenever I start them I have to battle with the laptop to keep them open.
When it starts loading it just flickers then minimizes, I then have to click it about 10-12 times before it eventually stays open.
Are there any solutions for this?
I understand there oldish games and compatibility could be the issue, but the fact that they do stay open would suggest that they're fine.

I recently got a fresh win7 install on my desktop and after a couple days some extreme flickering and screen distortion appeared. I tried disabling and uninstalling certain drives, did rollbacks etc. the problem persists. Booted in safe mode and the screen didn't give me any trouble also during boot up everything is fine but the flickering goes on from the welcome screen. I have an onboard 4250 if that's relevant.

I am using a windows 7 Acer laptop, and the screen only brightens when I plug in the charger. Also, the battery gets used up too quickly, even though I have the computer on 'power saver.' Downloading Bios or a brightness control won't work. The lever goes up and down easily when I bring up the 'adjust screen brightness' screen in the utility folder, but the screen stays dark. On top of that, the lever refuses to budge when I bring it up from the taskbar.

I'm not quite sure how to describe the issue(hence the title) but through several diagnosis I think the Graphics on the motherboard is failing. There is no add-on graphics, the system is a HP Pavilion P6310Y, AMD Athlon 2, 6GB of RAM, 1 TB of HDD Space. The onboard Graphics is NVidia GeForce 9100. The PC is about 3-4 years old. What is happening is the screen flickers and then either goes black or becomes a certain color. This happens whenever the PC is doing something involving alot of data(Scan Disk, Virus Scan, Email, Remote Desktop). The harder part is being able to tell whether the computer is crashing or after the graphics fails that the computer is still processing. I'm going go with a no because I have a feeling this could be an overheating issue as well.I have is if it is only the Graphics, would installing a Graphics Card solve the problem? Or will the rest of the motherboard eventually fail also?

I have been playing EA Sports Cricket 07 for a while now and used to work well with XP. But in Windows 7 there seems to be some problem with it the screen keeps flickering randomly while playing the game. I tried compatibility mode but it still continued. I really like the game and I don't have a system that can support latest games so I want a way to play this game and get rid of this flickering.

I have had this problem intermittently ever since I got this computer three years ago. It seems whenever I use my undocked laptop, and then dock it and use my external 1920x1080 monitor, it flickers quite a bit. The only solutions thus far have been to 1) reduce the resolution 2) restart 3) make sure my laptop isn't asleep when I dock it, as the problem seems to only happen when it is undocked, put on sleep, and then woken up.

i have a problem with my year old desktop pc and random screen corruption when i startup the pc. sometimes it does it once a month, but in the last week its happened it every day. this is a video of what happens but its not always the same, but its always at startup. usually anytime upto and including the windows login screen, but never before or during the bios screen. once it corrupts i then need to hard reset, soft reset does nothing. also, after a successful reboot windows complains of a previous bluescreen. all drivers are up to date. nvidia_gtx465_corruption.3gp - Internet i`ve tried replacing the graphics card and i still had problems and i`ve reinstalled windows 7. i`m thinking the next thing is to replace the psu? whats strange is that it never goes wrong once windows is up and running, its only at startup. it also cause the external monitor (tv) to blank out and it freezes the pc ie caps lock, etc dont function. i`ve also tried it in someone else`s house with different monitor and the same occurred.
my equipment is as follows:
cpu: intel core i7-2600k (sandy bridge-dt xe, d2)
3400 mhz (34.00x100.0) @ 3511 mhz (35.00x100.3)
motherboard: asus p8p67 pro
chipset: intel p67 (cougar point) [b3]
memory: 16384 mbytes @ 668 mhz, 9.0-9-9-24

So I just bought a used HP dv7 laptop. It came with a Dell charger and was able to charge fine. I use my laptop as my home computer so its always plugged in. Since I always keep it plugged in, I removed the battery so over time it wouldnt kill the battery life. So everything runs good, but I also like to play games on my laptop. when I do my laptop shuts off. I thought it might be my laptop crashing, but I noticed that the small light on the charger was off. I unplugged the charger from the wall socket and plugged it back in and the light came back on and my laptop powered up. The charger was very very hot. So I pointed a fan at it and played the game again, but it shut off again. I thought it had to do with the dell charger and the HP laptop, So I bought a brand new HP charger. But it still does the same thing, the charger shuts off.
Is there some settings I have to change? or something wrong with my laptop?

I'm being so much busy nowadays, running my self-development programs. As they're a lot of programs, the folders and files are accumulative each upon another. My laptop charger is always connected to the laptop. But still, since a couple of days, has 0% power. No progress in charging, and any improper interruption causes a technical damage to the entire work. Even though I save my work minute-by-minute; I forget for awhile. Knowingly that I exhausted every possible solution, with no results.

Some time ago I bought a battery for my laptop (Asus G51JX) and, it didn't work, I've sent it back and bought a new one with the same specifications (11,1V, 7200 mAh, 9 Cells). Now, when I start the computer on AC only, it works fine, but when I put the battery, the little icon on the taskbar goes up and down and then stops, If I remove the power cord, the laptop continues on but for my surprise it says "Plugged in, Charging" WITHOUT the power cord!, how is that possible? it is not from the OS because I tried another HDD with a completely different installation and it did the same, now my question is... Is it BIOS or the Motherboard?

Have owned a Palm Z 72 for about 5 years now and have loved it. The only problem I have ever had is an occasional freezing up which does not last long. Now though I am in serious trouble. The little pin inside where you plug in to charge it seems to have broken off and I have no way to charge it.I cannot hot sync anything to my computer because my desktop died and I purchased a laptop with Windows 7. There does not seem to be anything for Windows 7 for or at least I can't find it.I have bought a Palm Pre Plus phone and you would think I could get these 2 to talk to each other, but it's beyond me.

I have installed all proper drivers required to use the controller, but Joy.cpl isn't picking up the device, and I have it hooked up through the USB charger, do I have to do it wirelessly still even though I get pinged that the USB is being used when I plug in the remote through the USB charger? does it only charge when plugged into the computer this way? these are answers I am looking for but I haven't seen anything but a rather rude post by another individual seeking information who was commented on by this rude person, yes I understand not everyone is computer or tech savvy, but learing should be a shared experience.

Just reinstalled Windows 7 x64 (no SP1) and I noticed a weird problem. It happens everywhere, but I can best explain it with Task Manager. If you have Task Manager open and you try to resize the window with your mouse, the top tabs (Applications, Processes, Services etc.) flicker.
I have "show windows contents while dragging" enabled. I have Windows classic theme, but I asked a friend with the default Windows 7 theme and he has the same problem.
I don't remember having this problem before re-installing Windows 7 and I have the same chipset/video drivers.

Wasn't sure how to classify what's happening but I recently installed Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. It ran alright for a few days but over the last 2 days, I've been getting a flickering type problem. Now whatever is causing this is also affecting my ability to click or tab items or right click an item. Ex: If I have task manager open and want to close it; I right click it in the task bar to click close but the minute I move to click close the menu disappears.

I have a Lenovo Z460 ideapad, with 4gb ram, 500gb hdd and 380m i3 processor. It's running on windows 7 64bit OS. It's working totally ok when its running. Problem occurs when the machine is shutting down. If the computer is connected to the power and when I click shut down, it shuts down normally and nothing abnormal happens, in battery mode also when I shut it down it shuts down normally and nothing odd happens. But when it's connected to the power and after I click "shut down " button and when I remove the charger from the port while it is shutting down, I mean when it shows windows 7 log off screen with the words "windows is shutting down", it freezes at that moment.
Blue colour circle keeps on moving and it never shuts down and its not switching off. It is freezed at that moment. It happens only when I remove the charger while it is in the shut down process. It wont happen if I remove the charger before or after shutting down. So I have to switch it off manually by pressing the power button for 6secs. I know its dumb and the best way is prevent this is to remove it after or before shutting down. But most of the time I forget that and I keep on removing it while its shutting down.

This happens randomly, starting about a month ago. I'm on Windows 7 64bit, and every so often my monitor would flicker black just once, and once it goes back from blackness for a second, the task bar would be totally plain and white. The internet would also be disconnected with no way to go back to normal unless I restart. Half the time, the computer crashes after I restart making me use a restore point.
Does this have to do with hardware? I run diagnostics and memtest86 and half the time it says something is wrong with my RAM, then when I reinsert them, the tests say I'm ok. Then when this happen again, my ram tests faulty again. I have no idea what's going on. Any light on this situation would make me very appreciative.

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with a method to enable sounds for when you plug in or remove a charger connected to your laptop. It is not a problem with my pc, but is an option that is not available for me which i would like to install to let me know if i accidentally unplugged the charger, particularly if I'm working on a full-screen feature. I have Windows 7 home Premium 32-bit installed.

Have to press the reset button. Otherwise everything seems OK. I've run deep scans with Malwarebytes and Kaspersky and no warnings.
