Display Goes Off / On When Charger Plugged In Or Out
Feb 14, 2012
When I plugged in to the charger or plugged out my laptop, It's display goes off and on again. I'm using a dell N5110 laptop and I formatted it 4days ago, and before the format this didn't happen. I'm using windows 7 ultimate.
I am using a windows 7 Acer laptop, and the screen only brightens when I plug in the charger. Also, the battery gets used up too quickly, even though I have the computer on 'power saver.' Downloading Bios or a brightness control won't work. The lever goes up and down easily when I bring up the 'adjust screen brightness' screen in the utility folder, but the screen stays dark. On top of that, the lever refuses to budge when I bring it up from the taskbar.
I recently updated the Intel HD Graphics driver to the latest version, but now it flickers every time I want to plug in my charger or take it out. It's really annoying and I'm not sure why this just started happening. So I just bought a used HP dv7 laptop. It came with a Dell charger and was able to charge fine. I use my laptop as my home computer so its always plugged in. Since I always keep it plugged in, I removed the battery so over time it wouldnt kill the battery life. So everything runs good, but I also like to play games on my laptop. when I do my laptop shuts off. I thought it might be my laptop crashing, but I noticed that the small light on the charger was off. I unplugged the charger from the wall socket and plugged it back in and the light came back on and my laptop powered up. The charger was very very hot. So I pointed a fan at it and played the game again, but it shut off again. I thought it had to do with the dell charger and the HP laptop, So I bought a brand new HP charger. But it still does the same thing, the charger shuts off.
Is there some settings I have to change? or something wrong with my laptop?
I'm being so much busy nowadays, running my self-development programs. As they're a lot of programs, the folders and files are accumulative each upon another. My laptop charger is always connected to the laptop. But still, since a couple of days, has 0% power. No progress in charging, and any improper interruption causes a technical damage to the entire work. Even though I save my work minute-by-minute; I forget for awhile. Knowingly that I exhausted every possible solution, with no results.
I bought my new alienware over 6 months ago and was working well on all my games such as FIFA 12 and Call of Duty : Black ops and Call of Duty : Modern Warefare 3. After a while all my games lag. They lag just like when games lag when the charger isn't connected and you run a game.
Some time ago I bought a battery for my laptop (Asus G51JX) and, it didn't work, I've sent it back and bought a new one with the same specifications (11,1V, 7200 mAh, 9 Cells). Now, when I start the computer on AC only, it works fine, but when I put the battery, the little icon on the taskbar goes up and down and then stops, If I remove the power cord, the laptop continues on but for my surprise it says "Plugged in, Charging" WITHOUT the power cord!, how is that possible? it is not from the OS because I tried another HDD with a completely different installation and it did the same, now my question is... Is it BIOS or the Motherboard?
Have owned a Palm Z 72 for about 5 years now and have loved it. The only problem I have ever had is an occasional freezing up which does not last long. Now though I am in serious trouble. The little pin inside where you plug in to charge it seems to have broken off and I have no way to charge it.I cannot hot sync anything to my computer because my desktop died and I purchased a laptop with Windows 7. There does not seem to be anything for Windows 7 for or at least I can't find it.I have bought a Palm Pre Plus phone and you would think I could get these 2 to talk to each other, but it's beyond me.
I have installed all proper drivers required to use the controller, but Joy.cpl isn't picking up the device, and I have it hooked up through the USB charger, do I have to do it wirelessly still even though I get pinged that the USB is being used when I plug in the remote through the USB charger? does it only charge when plugged into the computer this way? these are answers I am looking for but I haven't seen anything but a rather rude post by another individual seeking information who was commented on by this rude person, yes I understand not everyone is computer or tech savvy, but learing should be a shared experience.
I have a Lenovo Z460 ideapad, with 4gb ram, 500gb hdd and 380m i3 processor. It's running on windows 7 64bit OS. It's working totally ok when its running. Problem occurs when the machine is shutting down. If the computer is connected to the power and when I click shut down, it shuts down normally and nothing abnormal happens, in battery mode also when I shut it down it shuts down normally and nothing odd happens. But when it's connected to the power and after I click "shut down " button and when I remove the charger from the port while it is shutting down, I mean when it shows windows 7 log off screen with the words "windows is shutting down", it freezes at that moment.
Blue colour circle keeps on moving and it never shuts down and its not switching off. It is freezed at that moment. It happens only when I remove the charger while it is in the shut down process. It wont happen if I remove the charger before or after shutting down. So I have to switch it off manually by pressing the power button for 6secs. I know its dumb and the best way is prevent this is to remove it after or before shutting down. But most of the time I forget that and I keep on removing it while its shutting down.
All the games work perfectly when the charger plugged in but when I plug it off all the games start to move slow and lag, even when its on high performance.
I was wondering if anyone is familiar with a method to enable sounds for when you plug in or remove a charger connected to your laptop. It is not a problem with my pc, but is an option that is not available for me which i would like to install to let me know if i accidentally unplugged the charger, particularly if I'm working on a full-screen feature. I have Windows 7 home Premium 32-bit installed.
the display/monitor uses the generic driver for display and it is 1024×768 or 800x600 but it looks very odd it should be bigger because my screen is bigger. I have a acer monitor but is there something I can download to fix the display size?
Windows 7 64 turns off the monitor 1 signal after startup. At login, it powers off monitor 1 and powers on monitor 2. Windows 7 behaves as though dual display is working even though monitor 1 does not display. It's the same for single display, the monitor will not work on cable 1 except at startup. Both 'Extend these displays' in Windows Screen Resolution and 'Extend' in the Nvidia Control Panel is selected. And changing which one is primary does not turn on monitor 1. Nor does switching the position of display 1 in either (ex.left/right/top/bottom).GeForce 8400 GS; Dual Monitor Solution 59 pin (DMS-59) to 2 VGA adapter -tried two of these adapter cables.atest Driver: 306.23 - installed a clean reset install of the latest Nvidia driver released last week.Same Resolution: 2 of the 4 monitors I have tried have the exact same 'recommended' resolution (1280X 1024), both 60Hz, and even chose 16 bit color for both instead of 32 to reduce resources.
Linux worked: Dual display worked immediately when I tried it in Ubuntu 10. So, it's not the hardware. It works in Ubuntu 12 too but not properly -it won't transfer windows across displays. My Windows 7 64 is an upgrade from Vista 64. One person in another forum with the same problem resolved theirs by reinstalling Windows 7. But another got the same problem only after a fresh clean install of Windows 7 64 with the same GeForce 8400 GS and DMS-59 when it had previously worked in Vista. i know the general solution to the problem "uninstall Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" and all but like an idiot.i uninstalled mine in safe mode = its not showing up again like it would once you scan for hardware changes I need a way to get my Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery back because now I have TWO problems.. 1, still won't charge.. and 2, I cannot see the battery icon or enable it and don't have my Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery
I recently got a new HP laptop with Windows 7 pro installed. When the battery is 95-99% it does not charge. It say PLUGGED in NOT CHARGING.I got replacement laptop and that also have same issue. I tried with new AC adaptor and same issue. I uninstall Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery and same issue. Googled as well and tried but nonthing seems to be working. Plugged in, not charging on HP Business Notebook plugged in not charging after Win 7 install, I contacted HP again and they said that some issue might be with system board.I took 10 days to transfer data to this laptop with all s/w.
my lappy was working fine with win 7 ultimate 32 bit but but but..so i didn't used the lappy and after a few months when turned it on without AC adapter it didn't turn on. so i connected to ac adapter and when i loged in, the battry icon said "0% pluged in not chraging".
2 days ago my battery stoped charging it says "plugged in not charging" i took the battery out to work with the ac adapter, but my laptop runs very slow now!
I tried searching for the solution to this problem but even after installing the realtek drivers, i still get that issue of no speakers or headphones.Below is information about the onboad sound.

I had not used my desktop for one week due to some problem of too much dust accumlating in the machine. Due to this the system would not power up. After the dust was removed, system powers up but i now get this problem with sound. Before this everything was fine. The speakers work fine on the laptop.I installed the drivers from the motherboard driver disc. I am using a gigabyte board (GA-G31M-ES2L).I have installed the drivers directly from the gigabyte website for my motherboard as well as from the realtek website. Also updated bios online from gigabyte server. But none of these methods causes sound to be restored.Theres no exclamation mark by the audio drivers in Device Manager. I have removed the audio drivers and after a restart, i still get the "no speakers or headphones are plugged in" error on the speaker icon.In device manager after restarting the system, i get the "high definition audio" device listed under "Sound, video and game controllers".Now i am wondering there is something wrong with the motherboard.
Every 10 seconds or so, Windows will think my charger is unplugged. Then, it will proceed to switch back and fourth between plugged in and not, forcing my laptop to switch between power modes. (I'm guessing this is stress on the CPU and I do not want it to have to do that all the time)It's getting annoying having to deal with my laptop getting hot and such because of the switching power modes.
I've spent days researching this problem and have found no solutions. I plug the Microsoft wireless mobile mouse 3500 transceiver into my USB 2.0 port and the cursor movements are so erratic that the mouse is useless. I try to use a Microsoft wired mouse connected to the USB 2.0 port and it does not work at all. However, both the wireless mobile mouse and wired mouse work perfectly when plugged into one of the two USB 3.0 ports.
This problem occurs on my Dell XPS 17 L702X laptop, which is less than three weeks old. The laptop is running Win 7 Ultimate x64. I have installed the latest drivers from Microsoft's website. I have uninstalled them and reinstalled them but the problem remains. I have exchanged the Microsoft wireless mobile mouse 3500 for a new one but the identical problem remains.
I do not have this problem on my Dell Studio XPS 7100, which is also running Win 7 Ultimate x64. The same mice that fail to work properly on the laptop's USB 2.0 port work perfectly with the USB 2.0 ports on the desktop. Everything in Device Manager (laptop) is up to snuff and no problems are indicated.
im hearing on my pc usb getting input and getting output i dont see any icon of it ther is also no sine in hardware im confused i had a music folder that is removed.
I've got a problem, my battery wont charge.I used to get this, but re installing ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery would normally solve this problem. Now after i remove ac, the laptop shuts down. I also got a screen once that saying my battery can now store less. When I click on the battery icon, it says plugged in and not charging.
