So anyway. Some time ago SP1 launched for Windows 7. I installed but it but something went it wrong and it didn't install correcly and then i was forced to use System restore. Everything worked and i haven't used SP1 because i don't want to risk screwing up my computer before some important things, i got plenty of time later for that . The problem is after the system restore every time Vegas launches i get a error : Sony Vegas pro 10 an error occurred starting Vegas Pro Error 0x80070002 (message missing).

I always check my processes from time to time and today I noticed that rundll32.exe appears to be running non-stop, which I don't remember it doing before. It's not really using any resources, but with me being paranoid, I'm really scared :/ Checked it with process explorer, this is what it yields:

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've seen this happen for quite a while. For some games, I'll see rundll32.exe take some CPU, and it can take as long as a half minute for the game to finally run. If I kill rundll32.exe then the game .exe gets killed too.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently re-formatted my hard drive, and noticed an icon in the task bar called "windows host process (Rundll32)". I looked it up and it said it could be malicious. I'm not sure if it is or not, but I ran Malwarebytes and nothing came up.

I am running the 64-bit version of Windows 7 along with IE9. I have found that a problem exists for both the 32-bit as well as the 64-bit version of IE9. I find that for the 32-bit IE9 there are 2 "iexplore.exe *32" files running when the program is started. With the 64-bit version of IE9 there are 2 "iexplore.exe" files running but that's not the problem.
I have found that when I have checked the box "Delete browser history on exit" (Tools - Internet Options - General tab - Browsing History) this sets off the problem on IE9 exit. Both of the iexplore.exe disappear but 2 new files rundll32.exe (*32 for the 32 bit version) appear. These 2 new files run for several minutes at 100% cpu and each will have up to 680Mb of memory. If I go back and uncheck the "Delete browser history on exit" these files, rundll32.exe do not appear and the problem goes away.
It appears the problem is with "Delete browser history on exit" function. I've been using IE9 since it came out and never had my computer, which is now freezing while the rundll32.exe are running, happen before. Ran Malwarerbyts, Super anti-spyware, Spybot, MS Essentials, Advanced system care (Just the Malware finder), Argente utilities (Just the Malware finder), System Mechanic (Just the Malware finder) in safe mode and nothing. I also am not using registry cleaners.
In the past couple of days I have had the following WLM error message: The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Live Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

So I'm trying to upgrade from the 6801 build (32-bit) to the 7100 build so both my laptops are on the same build.... 7100 is way more stable also..
Anyways I put in my Windows 7 7100 DVD, restart the comp... I hit a key to boot from CD, it tries to boot and comes up with a screen that says:
"Windows boot Manager"
Error I/O
0xc00000e9
And I cant get 6801 off this comp. It's now starting be become unstable, it will blue screen and restart on my often.
Anyone tell me what is wrong when this message is displayed, and how to fix it?

I can't find anything on this and all 501/505 message posts are related to Windows XP not 7. But, I have a 501/505 error message in my Windows 7. Funny thing, it is a problem with all my browsers (IE and Firefox) and I cannot access any website with the www. prefix. Urls without this prefix works fine. The only thing I can think of is that I downloaded and installed a Java update yesterday. Did this cause the 501/505 error problem? I also tried following the steps recommended by Microsoft for XP [URL]
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently just starting having this problem in which it states that a specified modual cannot be found when i enter onto desptop?. I have no clue where this came from and it is very annoying. I have attached an image at the bottom of what specifically it states.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I boot up my computer, I get a message that says
"There was a problem starting 3DLCXtime.dll The specified module could not be found"
The box has an 'OK' button and an x in the top right, I just hit 'OK' and the box goes away and doesn't bug me, but I wish to have it stop, since it kinda worries me that it may be a larger problem that may slowly get bigger.
I keep getting a window with this error; when I close the window it simply reappears: "Application Error" Exception EListError in module en.cpl at 00013BF2, List index out of bounds (0)." It didn't appear after I tried opening any specific program, it just appeared randomly. Is this a virus? How do I stop this?
