I figured updating all the windows updates, but i'm unable to. I keep getting error code 800B0100 when I try to DL them. I get the x64 Windows Readiness Tool download. I downloaded that and even that has failed to install. I'm not sure what the issue is.
Running windows 7 Home Premium x64 based PC.
For the past 18+ days I've been unable to download and install updates on Windows7 x64. I've tried all the trouble shooters and the update readiness tool, I've sought and received advice from windows answers to no avail, 14 days ago it did allow some updates but now its insists that IE9 on IE is not downloaded when I can see it is and all the time I keep getting Error Codes 80073712 and 9C48 , I've attempted and failed on at least 21 times now and every time it looks like it may make it but then it fails.

The problem I'm having now is that the damn thing wont update from Windows Update. It will identify that there are 76 important or critical downloads, but hangs at 0% downloading.
I went to the MS catalogue and tried to download manually, but even though I had the updates selected in my basket, again, it just hung on 0%.

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor a while now I have been experiencing a strange problem. My laptop keeps changing the Windows Updates without my consent. I know this has been raised in the past but my problem is slightly different.I prefer to choose "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download or install them", however periodically the settings change without my consent to "Never check for updates".This is very frustrating as I am constantly having to keep an eye on this, and change the settings back to what they were in order to receive critical updates, or indeed any other update. The laptop was bought new just under 12 months ago and came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit pre-installed.Has anyone else experienced this, or can anyone advise on a fix?

View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night, whilst plugging my iphone 4 s into my windows 7 based PC with 64 bit to back up my phone things went horribly wrong. The system told me in itunes that i need to down load the latest upgrade for itunes.I tried this and with my phone plugged in through a USB port to charge it went haywire. At the same time, as i was down loading the latest itunes 10.6 update, up pops the words "A network error occured while attempting to read from the file: C:windows installeritunes 64 msi". So i went back to the download page and clicked on the other download link and this time this message came up;This itunes installer is intended for 32 bit versions of windows. Please download and instal the 64-bit itunes installer instead.I could not find that installer so used other recommended installers, to no avail.I tried re-installing the 64 bit version at least 6+ times from other sites, but the same error message keeps coming up as the 1st one i wrote above. My iphone 4s is stuck on a picture showing a USB cable going to an itunes symbol. It will do nothing. It won't turn on/off and now my computer won't even recognize it when plugged in! Where did the driver go all of a sudden?I reset my PC to a couple of days ago, then tried loading the program again, made no difference. I have updated drivers, iphone on the list, but not showing any problems.I need to go get another phone now as i run several small businesses and need client contact all the time, but will answer this forum as soon as i can.
