I have been having this very annoying problem for over 2 months now. I'm running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit and Most video on my pc looks very pixelated. I was able to get vlc to work correctly again with an update to the latest version and wmp seems to work fine too. I'm still having very low quailty video in my slingplayer, skype video and certain flash videos on the internet. I have been searching google for any possible solution like using an older video card driver, a vista driver, and adding codec's but nothing seems to work. I'm not really sure if it's an Nvidia, windows, or a flash problem.

my pc has 2 monitors plugged into it and i'm using ultramon I also have my cpu oc'd to 3ghz, so i put it back to stock speeds and still have the poor video qaulity so that wasn't it.
I am using Windows Live Movie Maker & burning to a disc in Windows DVD maker. The images in the video are sharp in the downloaded video and in the preview frame in DVD maker but once burned to the disc and played back the faces of the people are quite blurry.
It sounds like everything is coming through a tube or from the other room. Especially bad on music with lyrics. The tune jumps out and the vocals sound like they're almost missing. With movies it's a bit better.I'm on a Asus U36JC, windows 7, 64*, with Realtek HD- which is where I'm guessing the problem lies...I've opened the Realtek HD Audio Manager and I notice that there are "sounds effects" that, when selected, makes the issue worse (seemingly in the same direction as the original issue) with effects like: "bathroom" and "cave". Yes I've turned that option to "none" and yes I've tried to adjust the EQ as well. No good.I've noticed that in my programs list, I've got 2 realtek programs running: "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver", and "Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver For Windows 7".
I am connecting a P2450H monitor via the HDMI cable and getting a very poor, fuzzy, flickering picture on the monitor. The laptop is an HP4525s with HDMI output. The VGA output into the montor is crisp and clean. I have tried all the resolution and colour options, but acnnot resolve the issueI have the latest digital driver installed.
My Pc is working 100%, except for this annoying problem.when i hit print screen, go to paint and save it as png it shows 100% crisp and high resolution 1900*1200 If i edit the pic saved on my desktop in paint or photoshop it show perfect. but if i open it with windows 7 photo viewer or live gallery the dpi is very poor and the lettters are obscure.i right clicked the file and went to file details , i picked up paint does not store the dpi of the print screen on the file.all the other normal photos and images display perfect in photo viewer except the screen captures
I'm having problems with my the graphics card on my laptop. It's an APU and I have picture and videos problems. Whenever I watch movies or look at pictures I see most things fuzzy, (if that makes any sense). I tried to watch a DVD and the video quality was unbearable. The most unbelievable thing is it affects picture quality. I can't do anything without poor quality pictures or videos. I have tried installing new drivers and all sorts of things. Is it me or is it my laptop?
My Laptop Specs:

My Toshiba Satellite L750 laptop has been having trouble playing Flash video, and Windows takes an extremely long time to boot. Flash videos appear to drop every other frame at best, and the sound in every Flash element is extremely loud and distorted. When Windows boots, it appears to finish booting in a reasonable amount of time, but the antivirus software and some minor background processes do not load along with Windows. They do not load until two minutes after Windows appeared to finish booting. During this two-minute period, there is no CPU or hard drive activity. These two problems have occurred since Toshiba reinstalled Windows during their many attempts to repair this computer. This is the same computer that I started this topic about. What did they do to this computer?
i can watch the videos online, such as Internet, bigpond top video, but now too much buferring time so that i can't watch anything online video program, why?
I work as a pianist and have recorded a few videos of me playing the piano using my mini-DV camcorder (a Panasonic NV-GS230). I transferred the videos from camcorder to PC using Panasonic's MotionDV Studio software which has created very good quality .AVI files. When I watch the AVI files on my 4 year old laptop (Acer Aspire 5920 running Vista) the video quality looks superb - the video looks very clear and runs very smoothly. However, when I watch the video on my new custom PC (spec included below) for some reason the video looks a little more grainy/blurry and not quite so fluid/smooth. If I say the video quality on the laptop is 100%, then I'd have to say the quality on the PC is about 75-80%. Here is my PC speec
It is possible to compress my movies recorded by my camara without lose quality?Only 2 minutes video in HD is 500MB. Its a lot I think. Is there any way and some program that you can recomanded me?The most important is not to lose quality and resolution.
I have a 720p resolution video file in HD specs. I converted it from mkv --> avi with a special program to keep its subtitles and HD specs. However, I want to burn it onto a DVD WITH a DVD menu. The only problem is that everytime I want to do so, the programs that I tried forces me to dumb down the quality to 480p. Is there a simple solution that is not too complicated for me to keep the HD resolution? By DVD , I mean like burn as DVD so I can watch it on a DVD player that is for TVs.
After having rather high hopes for SSD Performance...I'm disappointed.I'm glad I got a test unit, because if I would've shelled out the cabbage for this, I'd be a little PO'd.I have an 8300 Quad Core 2.5 Intel with 4GB of RAM running Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit.Instead of trying to clone the old drive, I did what I thought was right and did a fresh install.I loaded up MSE, Office 2010 and all Windows Updates.Did a couple of tweaks (made sure defrag was off, DMA mode on instead of PIO, disabled indexing)I have all the latest chipset, mobo, video, etc., drivers.Yes, it boots into Windows to the desktop faster. No doubt.Yes, it opens up windows faster and programs SOMETIMES as well. But it multitasks terrible. If I'm download, installing, etc., anything...and try to move program to program, it's slow. To the point I think it's freezing up.I've read a few of the tweaks here...and I'm missing something I think. It's an Imation 2.5" M series 64GB drive. I know it's not the Vertex 2...but it has pretty decent specs behind it. Not the best, but it should do everything my SATA platter drive does better...period.It doesn't.What should I be looking for? (It shipped with the latest firmware, and trim is turned on...not like that matters since I only installed Win7Pro fresh a few hours ago...)
I'm having an ongoing wireless problem with my Windows 7 PC in that speeds are a lot slower than expected and I even get intermittent 'connected to network but no internet access' problems.I have two computers on my network: a Windows PC, and a Macbook. With the laptop my download speed is regularly 17mbps. But my PC can barely pass 7mbps. I ran speedtest with the laptop on the floor next to the PC so I know they both have the same line of sight to the router. My laptop also never drops the connection. This tells me that the router cannot be at fault and that it's setup correctly.I have the latest drivers for my PCI wireless adapter. Windows is up to date.Is it possible that the wireless adapter just isn't very good? (I bought it as it had good user reviews). Although it barely managers a signal strength higher than 2 bars (which according to Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector is about -85dbm Very poor!).Is it likely that some adapters work better with some makes of router? I have a Netgear router and the adapter it TP-Link.
I bought a LENOVO G560 laptop, initially my laptop was working just fine, but latter it started to dissatisfy me.I am facing a lot of problem, and most recently my display is going wrong. It abruptly flashes if I switch on my laptop for an hour.
Recently addicted to hear music in quality sound. Spend quite lot of money, buying a DAC and Great music system too. I have heard we can make some changes in windows 7 to get the Audio quality best. I have J River media player.
my upgrade to Windows 7 caused a huge loss in sound performance for me. I don't have a speaker system anymore, I live in a barracks so I only use headphones. It seems as though my headphone quality has diminished to that of a default set of ear buds that come with a cheap cell phone.I can't get the headphones to register in the Realtek HD Audio Manager either. It shows the digital output, and digital output(optical), but not my headphones. The headphones were previously shown in the Realtek HD Audio Manager before, and that is where I adjusted them to have beautiful sound. I've tried updating the drivers, reverting back, moving them around, etc. The headphones WORK, but they sound terrible. I literally get better sound quality plugging my headphones into my Iphone and listening to Pandora.
Here's applicable information for you guys:
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 Audio drivers: 6.0.1.6251 Headphones: Sound Blaster Arena SB's with detachable mic OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Additionally; I'm receiving my pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50's tomorrow, they're using a 3.mm jack instead of USB so maybe that will change things up I'm not sure.
i am using wireless internet with my laptop pc in windows 7 i use a shared connection in my appartment and i have some problems now!:
1-i was using internet properly for months without problems
2-my wifi signal strengh was 3 at minimum and my connection speed was near 20 mbps always but from 2-3 days ago i have some problems like:
-my signal strengh is 1 or maximum 2 and
-my speed connection is only 2-3 mbps and sometimes even dissconnect severaly during connection
-i am not able to use the maximum speed like before with my laptop but this problem is only belong to my laptop i dont have same problem with my desktop pc(the only problem with desktop pc is the signal strengh)note:
*the router is in same position that it was before
*i have low speed even when i am behind the router (1 feet!)
*i only have this problem with my laptop, not with my pc and phone
I have Windows 7 (x64) build 7264 installed and encrypted on a 32GB SSD.
(I also have a 1TB drive for storage.)
I installed it about a week ago and lately it has been becoming sluggish and unresponsive at times. Mostly when loading webpages with lots of pictures or videos. I've tried 3 different browsers with the same result. When watching streaming video, it freezes randomly for a few seconds at a time when playing (but the video play bar shows that it's loaded way past the point where it freezes). I don't think it's my internet connection, because it's pretty fast (university) and I don't have these problems in ubuntu. Also, iTunes sometimes takes 5-10 seconds to gain window focus when I click on it.
I'm having trouble pinpointing where the problem lies. It's obviously not the memory. The processor does't seem to be under a heavy load (and it has 4 cores). Could it be the SSD somehow? It is one of the cheaper ones. My ubuntu installation is on the regular hd and works fine.
I have recently bought a MS Wireless Mouse 5000, and the scroll wheel seems to be a bit flakey. It does not happen all the time, and seems to be worse in some applications (for instance, Safari), than others.
After a ton of speculation, a bit of denial, and a ton of testing we finally have our answer. The thermal interface material change made by Intel when it went from Sandy Bridge to Ivy Bridge is indeed the cause of the excessive temperatures weve observed while overclocking. The first accusation was made in late-April by Overclockers.com, however proving it wasn't easy. The Japanese division of PC Watch somehow managed to remove the integrated heat spreader from a Core i7 3770k, along with the stock binding and grease. They then proceed to replace it with aftermarket alternatives, and the results speak for themselves.
started when i downloaded some shady looking software off of a shady website got some bsod n my comp was randomly bsod-ing, norton keeps on popping up messages saying they blocked recent attempts to get into my system coming from what are obviously random generated urls (i went to one n norton got all at me) , but these are coming through my web browser, so i deleted all my browser files xept my important bookmarks n stuff and reinstalled Google chrome, but while reinstalling Firefox comp bsod'd halfway through so im not gonna install that google chrome wouldn't load up but i found some hack-ish thing to get it to load although i dont trust these login stuff on this website tried some i forget what its called command prompt input to fix corrupted files n tht may have stifled the bsod problem a bit, BUT i did a freaking full system scan with malwarebytes anti malware (cuz i dont trust norton cuz norton says this virus is trying to attack norton) and it found NOTHING.AND I HAVE HOMEWORK, well i guess i can do hw in safe mode, basically this is a problem tht comes n goes.
Is there anyway to have a High Definition/Quality moving background? I've tried dreamscene and searched around, but no luck. I'm looking for something that can make wmv / flv / etc../ into a background.
I have a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 4000 that I frequently carry around. I would like to try using it to play games, but it has serious issues. Outside of a game, the mouse works perfectly fine. In game, the mouse jerks around and stutters, making it utterly impossible to use. It does not occur with any wired USB mouses.
Recently I have formatted my Usb External Harddisk with exFAT, as I heard of the benefits of it over FAT32. Its an IMATION Drive with 320gb storage. Device Properties: TOSHIBA MK3252GSX USB Device, The problem is that it takes forever to copy files from the drive as compared to when the format was FAT32. Currently, Im trying to backup all my files on my PC and I've been trying to copy out 60gb of Data that I started 10+ hours ago. The wierd thing is the progress bar moves a fraction and then stops for about 5mins before continuing the another fraction.
i decided to update my hp laptop from windows vista home premium to windows 7 ultimate (both 64 bit) and in doing so my firefox and ie browsers are considerably harder to read. twitter, facebook, Internet descriptions, most anything has very poor quality.
i recently came across this problem on my desktop after updating my graphics card's driver via an optional windows update (big mistake) and all i had to do was rollback the driver. for this problem, i tried updating the graphics card's driver, but it's up to date.
i am working on making a slideshow of a few pictures. movie maker seemed great to me in doing this. it's easy to add music or effects and all but the problem is that after publishing, it degrades the pic's quality. i have tried publishing in all the options.the NTSC something option created a 3gb+ video file but still the quality was poor.
